The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the statutory organisation promoting Hong Kong’s external trade, seeks a dynamic, high-calibre and experienced professional to join our Service Promotion Department.
Responsibilities:

• To plan and formulate promotional strategies on healthcare and bio-medical sectors in accordance with the Council’s annual plan and business plan of Service Promotion Department.
• To lead a team and implement comprehensive promotional programme and projects through close co-ordination with internal departments, overseas and mainland offices, and external partners and vendors.
• To build relationships with key industry players and multipliers particularly in healthcare and bio-medical sectors through proactive engagement.
• To oversee the financial and budgetary planning of the assigned projects.
• To manage and provide secretariat support to a steering committee.
• To effectively lead a team and provide proper guidance to team members for implementing service promotional programme.
• To supervise day-to-day operations, including management reporting, finance, administrative and HR-related matters.
  

• University graduate with a minimum of 12 years’ solid managerial experience, preferably with sizable organisations, in any of the following areas: sales and marketing; exhibition/event organisation or public/corporate relations etc.
• Strong inclination and understanding of Hong Kong economy, trade and business arena covering various industries, and markets and business opportunities for Hong Kong.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua; knowledge of a third language an advantage.
• Mature with superior skills in sales, marketing and communication.
• A strong team player with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and outgoing with good project planning ability.
• Innovative, flexible and be able to deliver under time and resource pressure.

• To assist project managers in the overall planning and execution of local and overseas trade promotional events related to Healthcare and Bio-medical services.
• To recruit participants for trade promotional projects.
• To provide logistic support for trade promotional projects, including assisting in liaisons with external vendors, as well as internal departments and branch offices.
• To handle enquiries from event participants and undertake on-site duties.
• To liaise and maintain good relations with working partners and industry associations.
• To undertake administrative duties as and when necessary.

• University graduate with a minimum of 3 years' solid experience in project management and/or event organizing is preferred.
• (Candidates with less experience will also be considered for the position of Project Executive, Service Promotion)
• Proactive, self-initiated and detail-minded.
• Mature, creative, with team spirit.
• Able to multitask, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Fluent in Putonghua.
• Proficiency in MS applications and Chinese word-processing.
• Customer-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with people from all levels.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A competitive remuneration and benefits package, including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be offered.
