Legal Counsel, Banking (HK$70K - $120K)

Full Job Description

Our client, a Leading Bank, is looking for high-caliber person to fill the position.

Job Duties

• Provide comprehensive legal advisory services and oversee legal matters for the Bank Group
• Review / draft term sheets, confirmations, commercial contracts and all other relevant documents for all-rounded banking business transactions
• Provision of internal legal support to banking operations of various divisions
• Keep update and conduct research on rules and regulations
• Liaise with business units and counterparties on specialized legal work
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations across the Bank Group

Job Requirements

• University degree holder with major in Law or relevant disciplines
• Hong Kong Qualified Solicitor is a MUST
• Solid Legal experience from Banking and Finance Sectors
• Knowledge in Hong Kong and China Commercial Laws including Banking related areas OR
• Knowledge of HKMA / SFC regulations / Banking Ordinance / Companies Ordinance
• Can write Chinese
• Self-initiative, independent with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to exercise judgment, work under pressure and liaise effectively with the business and supporting units
• Excellent command of spoken and written Chinese and English including Cantonese and Mandarin
