An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Merchandising Director / Senior Merchandising Manager to join a leading fashion retail company. This role offers the chance to apply your market knowledge and fashion sense to explore business opportunities, advise on promotional strategies, and make buying decisions that will drive business growth. You'll be leading a dedicated merchandising team, managing the buying process to optimise sales performance across all retail stores.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Merchandising Director / Senior Merchandising Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our retail stores. Your keen eye for fashion trends combined with your market knowledge will enable you to identify business opportunities and advise on promotional strategies.

You will lead a dedicated merchandising team, overseeing the buying process to maximise product performance. Your responsibilities will also include tracking product performance, benchmarking competitor practices, drive for KPIs and maintain appropriate stock levels.

• Responsible for Hong Kong and Macau markets
• Product performance and sell-through analysis, competitor's analysis and provide insightful recommendations and promotion strategies
• Lead the merchandising team in managing the buying process to optimise sales performance across all retail stores
• Responsible for Open-To-Buy, seasonal buy and proposals, sell through, GP, training, inventory level and KPIs
• Liaise with suppliers on order placing efficiency and ensure appropriate levels of stock are maintained

Requirements:

The ideal candidate for this Merchandising Director or Senior Merchandising Manager role will bring a wealth of experience from the fashion industry. With at least eight years' experience in merchandising and buying roles, you'll have developed a strong analytical mind and business acumen. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to negotiate effectively and work collaboratively with various teams. Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is essential, as is a willingness to travel occasionally.

• Degree in Fashion, Textile and Clothing, Merchandising or related discipline
• Minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in Fashion industry merchandising and buying
• Strong analytical mind and business acumen
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Fluency in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin)

Salary: HKD60,000 - HKD90,000 per month + Bonus
