Full Job Description
Responsibilities:
- As the leader of the Research Department's "Special Projects and Business Advisory" team, you will be responsible for guiding a group of skilled researchers in Hong Kong and mainland business advisors to deliver research insights and timely business advice on China trade and cross-border investment/ business matters for Hong Kong's business community.
- Your role will also involve establishing strong connections with government departments, business associations, and think tanks in both Hong Kong and mainland China to undertake crucial joint research projects.
- Additionally, you will manage a statistical team responsible for the collection and compilation of trade-related statistics and economic data, ensuring their accuracy and efficiency
- Requirements:
- A university degree in Economics, Business Management, or related disciplines.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of proven track record in economic research and business advisory, with a total of at least 10-12 years of working experience.
- Solid knowledge of international trade and mainland China/Hong Kong's business environment, with a specific understanding of Hong Kong's SME operations
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire an adept team, exhibiting strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese languages, including Putonghua and Cantonese.
- Familiarity with statistical and forecasting techniques, as well as related software tools like SPSS and Tableau, is an added advantage.
