**Head of Data Architecture, Asia Data Office**
To support the accelerated build-out of a unified, scalable, and AI-ready data ecosystem across Asia, we are seeking a Head of Data Architecture (Director Level) to serve as the regional authority for enterprise data and AI architecture.
This role will define, govern, and drive the end-to-end data and AI architecture strategy, while also owning solution architecture for critical initiatives, ensuring scalable, secure, and production-ready delivery aligned with global standards and regional regulatory requirements.
As a capability leader within Asia Data Office, this role bridges strategy and execution, driving architectural consistency, enabling platform modernization, and ensuring adoption of cloud-native data platforms and AI/GenAI capabilities across markets.
**Position Responsibilities:**
1. Strategy & Architecture Leadership
+ Define and lead the Asia enterprise data & AI architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap
+ Establish target state architecture for data, analytics, and AI platforms
+ Drive architectural alignment with global standards, regulatory requirements, and business strategy
+ Lead architecture decision-making, including trade-offs, investments, and technology choices
2. End-to-End Solution Ownership
+ Own end-to-end solution architecture for key data, analytics, and AI initiatives

3. Platform & Technology Architecture
+ Design and govern cloud-native data and AI platforms across Azure and Alicloud

+ Establish reusable architecture blueprints, patterns, and accelerators

**Required Qualifications:**
+ 20+ years of experience in data, analytics, and enterprise architecture
+ 3-5 years in a leadership role (Head, Lead Architect, or equivalent)
+ Proven experience in defining and delivering enterprise-scale data and AI platforms
+ Strong experience with:
+ Cloud platforms (Azure required, Alicloud preferred)

Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of people management experience with direct reports as their performance manager

**Our Team:**
Our APAC Loans Data team is responsible for acquiring and maintaining the full life-cycle of data relating to the Broadly Syndicated and Institutional Loans Market. Timely and accurate acquisition, interpretation, capture and maintenance of loan data is key to meeting client needs. The loans market has seen increasingly historic volumes over the past two years in addition to more complex deal structures which has placed emphasis on the need for electronification and automation, uncovering an opportunity for technical innovation for our team.
**The Role:**
The APAC Loans Team is looking for a highly motivated and driven Team Leader to cover the data management, data quality and data processes that drive our Loans product. You will play a critical role in developing and leading a team of data professionals with diverse experience and expertise spanning across several functions and subject matter areas. You will guide your team to think strategically, apply data management best practices to their data sets, and to deliver quality data that is ready to use and fit for purpose. You are also expected to drive and instill a dynamic culture, as well as proactively champion inclusive behavior by building a safe environment where differences are recognized, respected and able to thrive. In doing so, you'll build a close partnership with Engineering, Product, Enterprise and other departments.
**We'll trust you to:**
+ Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of domain experts and data management professionals through processing time-sensitive, high-quality financial data, data analysis, and project management
+ Partner with other data and core business groups, such as Product, Sales, News and Engineering to help develop and improve fit-for-purpose data that powers our products
+ Design and implement proactive data quality and data governance management supported by client-focused metrics and process observability
+ Develop data modeling and ETL skills within the team and collaborate with Engineering teams to develop a robust data product that can deliver value across multiple client-facing products
+ Build processes and standards that enable delivery of data that meets or exceeds client SLAs and supports superior customer service
+ Develop the team's subject matter and data expertise, aligning to the current industry best practices and trends to be able to proactively spot gaps and opportunities for future innovations
+ Collaborate with global counterparts to re-engineer the workflow and operating procedures to ensure high efficiency and consistency in data quality across regions and products
**You'll need to have:**
+ Demonstrated leadership capability, with 3+ years of experience managing people
+ Bachelor's degree, preferably in STEM, Economics, a quantitative social science, or related business field, or equivalent experience
+ Market data experience in the financial services industry, including exchanges, market data providers or financial institutions
+ Experience in data management related role such as data quality, data modeling and/or data engineering, working with large datasets to quantify trends impacting the industry
+ Experience with data analysis using tools such as Python, SQL, and/or Tableau
+ Proven ability to establish strong credibility and build influential relationships with multiple internal and external partners
+ Excellent communication skills in order to clearly communicate business needs and advocate for your team
+ Ability to spot market trends and act on them to enhance depth and breadth of coverage
+ Ability to demonstrate qualitative and quantitative evidence to drive commercial decisions, and use statistics and data visualization skills to report on results of ongoing operations and projects as required
+ Strategic vision to align team goals around providing outstanding service to the business and other internal/external clients, and the ability to implement a business and people strategy which delivers on that vision
**We'd love to see:**
+ Deep understanding of fixed income credit, focusing on syndicated loans
+ An existing network within the loans industry
+ Ability to work with client service, sales support, or marketing roles in the loans industry
+ Deep understanding of how financial data drives business decisions and impacts cross-functional teams, from product development to sales strategy
+ Past delivery on digital transformation involving advanced data model design, automated ETL workflows, data quality or governance control
