The role of Feasibility Analyst (6-month Contract) involves conducting in-depth market and financial evaluations of potential hotel greenfield development and rebranding opportunities in supporting the Group's strategic pillar of ACCELERATION.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Financial Modelling and Projections: Build financial models, including revenue forecasts and cost estimations adhering to Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI), and develop discounted cashflow to evaluate project's financial viability.
• Market Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to assess demand, supply trends, and competitive landscapes for potential ultra-luxury hotel projects, through conducting desktop search, and site visits and stakeholder interviews where necessary.
• Collaboration: Act as an integral partner to the Development, Technical Services, Revenue Management, Operations, Finance and Legal teams to identify and evaluate new development opportunities.
• Reporting and Presentations: Support the preparation of RFP proposal, pitching presentations etc to secure management opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Hospitality Management, Real Estate, or a similar field of study.
• Professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, or equivalent certifications.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the luxury hotel industry, hospitality consulting firms, real estate development, or finance fields.
• Knowledge of financial valuation methodology (DCF).
• Strong computer skills with an emphasis on spreadsheet and financial modelling (e.g., Excel) and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint).
• Fluent in English and Chinese, with excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with diverse stakeholders from different regions.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis of cryptocurrency companies and projects, covering regulatory development, business models, technological advancements, risk assessment, and growth potential, and produce high-quality analysis reports.

• Work closely with senior professionals to conduct financial analyses including financial statement and valuation analyses; assisting in development of detailed financial models; company and industry research.

• Collect relevant data in the cryptocurrency industry, including market trends, transaction data, and blockchain technology developments, conduct systematic analysis, and extract key insights.

• Interact with clients, potential investors, and keep regular daily interaction with the sales and trading desks.

• Address various client requests and other bespoke tasks.

Candidate Profile:

• Master's or bachelor's degree holder in Finance/ Accounting with 2 to 3 years relevant working experience preferred.

• Knowledge/interest in Web 3 space is preferred.

There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following position at the HKIMR:

• Conduct research and prepare speeches and background materials for senior management on topics related to the macroeconomy, monetary policy, and financial markets
• Liaise with researchers at Mainland and overseas central banks, financial institutions, and academic and policy research organisations to maintain a network of experts focussed on the Chinese economy
• Facilitate collaborations with policy research institutions and universities in Mainland China on topical research projects
