We are looking for a passionate and talented Learning and Development Manager who will play a pivotal role in delivering top-notch training and supporting the leadership development initiatives for our Office teams in Hong Kong. The role will report to the Senior Learning and Development Manager.

The Role

  • Organise and facilitate classroom and virtual training programs such as new staff orientation, soft skills training, leadership development programs that align with and drive organizational objectives.
  • Provide support on designing training courses and creating training materials.
  • Work closely with business units to identify training needs, design and develop training plans to meet business requirements.
  • Assist in developing the curriculum for the e-Academy in partnership with the Digital Learning team.
  • Support the development of career path frameworks and succession planning for office staff, while supporting talent engagement and recognition initiatives.
  • Manage and coordinate projects on company culture and people development initiatives
  • Stay at the forefront of learning trends, integrating the latest innovations into our in-house training programs.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 6 years of experience of solid learning and development experience. Strong presentation and communication skills, being able to develop and conduct trainings in both classroom and web-based set-ups.
  • Proactive, positive mindset and willing to take on new challenges with passion.
  • A team-player with strong collaborative mindset and strong sense of ownership.
  • Strong project management skills including planning, organising, analysing and problem solving, as well as people and stakeholder relationship management.
  • High learning agility and curiosity about market trends, with the ability to integrate innovative L&D practices into the organization.
  • A good command of spoken and written English is a must, as well as a working level of Chinese.
  • Less experienced candidates would be considered as Assistant Manager

  • Project/Process Management: Design and execute on a standard cadence of operations while also independently developing and managing project or program plans to support key stakeholder asks
  • Hypothesis Development: Identify and solve strategic questions related to Meta’s largest regional business opportunities and related risks
  • Scalable Insight: Create and maintain automated and actionable dashboard, workflows and tools that drive current and future rhythm of business actions
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Degree in either Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in business operations, analytics or planning
  • Advanced SQL knowledge and knowledge of at least one scripting language (Python/R)
  • Demonstrable problem-solving experience with experience providing practical business insights from large, complex data sets
  • Proven experience with managing information strategy and data structures
  • Proven experience in driving end-to-end strategy setting and implementation, including influencing executive stakeholder buy-in

Position Overview

* Reporting: Preparing regular reports and presentations for senior management that summarize findings, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations.
* Performance Monitoring: Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing insights on operational efficiency and effectiveness.
* Collaboration: Working closely with finance, merchandising, retail, marketing, and other departments to ensure alignment on business objectives and strategies.
* Strategic Planning: Collaborate with IT and business leaders to develop long-term strategic plans that align technology initiatives with business objectives. Assess the impact of technology on overall business strategy.
* Market Research: Conducting market research to understand competitive dynamics, customer preferences, and economic factors affecting the APAC regions.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Requirements:
* Bachelor's or above in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field

Your ‘day to day’
We are looking for a diligent and results-oriented Business Planning Analyst (12months contract) to support the Manager of Business Planning for PMI Duty Free business in Asia. As a finance business partner you will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial analyses and insights that contribute to the decision-making process of the Asia BU. As a trusted finance business partner, you will collaborate closely with the Asia commercial teams and HQ finance team to drive financial management and performance analysis. Your contributions will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction of the business and achieving key objectives.
Business Strategy, Planning, Budgeting & Rolling Forecasts

  • Manage the preparation of rolling forecasts and OB, ensuring alignment with strategic plans and incorporating key assumptions.
  • Provide analyses on volume and financial results against budget and provide monthly updates on YTD & RF financials vs Budget / RFs.
  • Support Commercial Planning/B2B teams by providing financial analyses on commercial initiatives, generating scenarios, and making recommendations to achieve objectives.
Pricing
  • Prepare pricing committee approval for proposed pricing initiatives.
  • Oversee the end-to-end process for planned and ad-hoc price change decisions.
  • Collaborate with the Pricing Office to identify pricing opportunities and ensure timely execution throughout the financial year.
Controllable Costs
  • Assist commercial teams in evaluating the return on investment for initiatives, providing guidance and support for investment decisions, and establishing metrics and targets.
  • Present decision options to improve business results, based on clear commercial and functional drivers.
  • Contribute to the development of business and commercial scenarios, considering high-level financial impact.
Reporting And Others
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports on business performance.
  • Support corporate audits by addressing queries and ensuring the availability of requested supporting documents.
  • Handle ad-hoc requests and conduct additional analysis as required.
Who We’re Looking For
  • University degree in quantitative fields: Pure/Applied sciences, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance roles, prior exposure to regional role and working with teams in different geographies
  • Experience in financial planning, analysis, and business partnering roles.
  • Knowledge of financial forecasting, budgeting, and pricing strategies.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in the duty-free or retail industry is desirable but not a must.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.

Principal responsibilities:

  • Responsible to lead the Insurance Business Strategy and Planning team in overseeing strategy execution of insurance business, monitoring business performance for all insurance business lines to sustain business growth and market leading position;
  • Monitoring the process of Financial Resources Planning (FRP), strategic projects and business forecast in collaboration with business and functional units to support business and profit growth;
  • Analyze future strategic initiative feasibility, including relevant business case preparation, competitor market analysis and multi-faceted evaluation;
  • Work closely and communicate effectively with other key stakeholders within Hang Seng Insurance, HASE WPB and strategic partners in the development and execution of business strategy;
  • Perform insurance strategic initiatives including financial, technological, resources planning, cost management and people development;
  • Identify key risks and issues across potential strategies and support the development of risk mitigation solutions workings with other key stakeholders within Hang Seng.
Requirements
  • University degree in a business-related discipline; actuarial or CPA related professional qualification is preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in banking/insurance/consulting
  • Details oriented with creative mindset, Self-motivated with positive attitude to work independently
  • Strong business acumen and marketing sense, with good communication, analytical and project management skills as well as sound knowledge of application software
  • Excellent ability to gather data, visualize, connect the dots and storytelling
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
  • Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage.
