We have a fantastic opportunity at our McNamara Lodge in Meadow Springs for a forward-thinking Therapy Assistant. You will work with the Lifestyle Coordinator and the Occupational Therapist to assess residents’ needs, develop one-on-one or group therapy programs, help deliver group and individual therapies, and note changes in residents’ well-being to advise staff. A Therapy Assistant with RAAFA contributes to continuous service improvement.

Shifts: Fridays 8:00am–4:00pm, every second Monday and Sunday 8:00am–4:00pm, with additional shifts available

• Assist in the implementation of therapy programs, including group and individual activities.

Overview

We are looking for a compassionate Behavioral Therapist to join our team. The position will support students' learning, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), while implementing behavioral strategies to enhance their educational experience.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Collaborate with Supervisors, Classroom Teacher and Head Teacher to facilitate effective student learning.
• Provide one-on-one and group support using SEN approaches and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) principles.
• Lead and guide students in individual and small group activities as directed by the Classroom Teacher.
• Conduct therapy sessions, both individually and in groups, to support students' behavioral and educational needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan and perform physiotherapy treatments to members individually or in group according to members' need

• Educate members and caregivers on treatment plans and home exercise
