A day in the life
Reporting to the Global Indirect Tax Director based in Vancouver, Canada, the Indirect Tax Manager, APAC will provide indirect tax expertise for the Asia Pacific region as it relates to reporting and compliance, VAT accounting operations and strategic initiatives. This role is based in Hong Kong and will require collaboration with business teams across lululemon, dealing with domestic cross-border indirect tax matters and omni-channel transactions. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee indirect tax compliance and reporting for the APAC region, including timely and accurate filing of VAT, GST, DST, statistical reporting and other indirect tax obligations as applicable;
- Collaborate with the North America based team for guidance and support from Global Indirect Tax perspective;
- Collaborate with local finance, technology, legal and other teams to ensure tax compliance while delivering on business objectives;
- Manage relationships with external advisors and tax authorities;
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position and minimize risks;
