Job Description

About the role

We are currently looking to recruit a talented and dedicated Accounting Officer (6-Month Contract) to join our finance team based in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate, efficient and professional financial support.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle the monthly accounts closing and assist in preparing consolidated accounts;
  • Handling and managing outsourced PRC accounting agent deliverables for preparing IFRS group accounts, where necessary;
  • Assist in preparing management reports and financial analysis;
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc analytical reports required by the management;
  • Support on all auditing and tax reporting and ad-hoc duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Ideal candidates must have:

  • Degree in Accountancy or similar discipline from an internationally recognized university;
  • Minimum 3 years working experience;
  • Ability to handle a full set of accounts;
  • Proficiency in PC applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.;
  • Experience in using accounting software;
  • Working experience for PRC units, possess knowledge in dealing PRC taxes are advantageous;
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Mandarin;
  • Strong analytical skills and good business acumen;
  • Responsible, friendly, team player, flexible work approach, positive attitude and the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment autonomously;
  • Initially start with 6 months contract, potentially extend to permanent role
  • Immediately available is highly preferable.

We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Finance Office :

Major Duties And Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • Being responsible for daily accounting operations including updating daily bank records, preparing bank cheques and letters or fund transfers;
  • Preparing bank reconciliations and account schedules;
  • Assisting in month-end closing and year-end closing;
  • Assisting in annual budget and mid-year forecast;
  • Assisting in preparing reimbursement claims schedules and reports for projects funded by external bodies; and
  • Performing other ad hoc assignments as required by Assistant Finance Manager and Finance Manager.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • At least 5 subjects with Level 2 in HKDSE or equivalent, including English & Chinese languages and Mathematics. Diploma or above in Accounting or related disciplines is highly preferred;
  • Experience in accounting related field is a plus;
  • Proficient in Microsoft EXCEL and other Microsoft applications (e.g. WORD, etc.);
  • Good command of written and spoken English & Chinese (preferably including Putonghua); and
  • Self-motivated, responsible, independent and able to work under pressure.
  • Experience in Oracle Finance system will be an advantage.

Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.

Assistant Finance Officer (Financial Accounting) Assistant Finance Officer (Financial Accounting)

  • Handle a full set of accounting books and ensure all accounting information in compliance with company policies in a timely manner
  • Assist in the preparation of consolidation on group financial reports
  • Liaise with PRC offices for managing financial accounting duties
  • Handle enquiries from external and internal parties
  • Assist in operation review, set up and improve accounting procedures and workflow systems
  • Perform other ad hoc duties when required

What we look for:

  • University graduate in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
  • With at least 5 years’ relevant experience
  • Able to handle a full set of books
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Detail minded and well-organized person
  • Good Excel user and familiar with Chinese word processing
  • Immediate availability is preferred

**Candidates with less experience will be considered as Senior Finance Assistant (Financial Accounting) **
