Reporting into the Deputy Head, Finance (Chinese Mainland) and Senior Manager, Finance (Chinese Mainland), you will be responsible for finance roles of the Chinese Mainland's new projects, including digitalization, accounting systems set up and review of financial statements.

• Preparing and reviewing monthly accounting books and records, consolidated accounts and cashflow for companies in Chinese Mainland & Hong Kong, focusing on PRC GAAP and HK GAAP for both statutory and management accounting purposes
• Preparing analytical reviews and schedules for management decision including preparation of monthly flash results variance, 10 years budget and 3 years quarterly forecast for management accounting
• Assist Chinese Mainland finance team in the Hong Kong head office on digitalization, including automation of accounting process and finance functions, accounting systems set up and maintenance
• Carrying out general duties of accounting and taxation duties for companies and representative offices in Chinese Mainland finance team
• Prepare financial statement and tax computation in accordance to Hong Kong IFRS
• Assist in annual and interim audit and tax compliance
• Carry out ad hoc duties on necessary basis

The Opportunity

As an Accountant, you will play a critical role by ensuring that generated revenues are accurately accounted for. This individual will be tasked with tracking Teneo’s regional revenue streams, management of financial records, and ensuring a healthy financial ecosystem You will support all key markets in Asia Pacific, these include: Hong Kong SAR, Mainland China, Singapore, Japan and Australia. This individual will also support the Regional Finance team and senior management with budgeting and forecasting priorities.

Key Responsibilities

As an Accountant within the Regional Finance team at Teneo, your role will include:

• Work directly with client lead to prepare and send out client invoices;
• Follow debt collection with clients to ensure on time settlement;
• Prepare accounting entry for customer receipt and settlement and update Accounts Receivable and Aging Reports;
• Provide monthly inter-company settlement confirmation with various overseas entities;
• Regularly update and reconcile Work-In-Progress (WIP) reports and invoices;
• Prepare month-end closing, monthly reports and balance sheet reconciliations;
• Assist and support audit and statutory tax filing; and
• Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and internal guidelines and policies.
• Collaboration – Work with other Finance colleagues to create optimal financial plans, analyses, and projections for the Company.
  
  

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business or related disciplines is required
• 2 - 4 years related experience working within the finance function, ideally from the professional services sector
• Attention to detail and demonstrates a consistent approach to ensuring financial records are maintained at the highest of standards, level of detail and without error
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders while maintaining good relationships
• Fluent written and spoken English is essential; additional Chinese language competencies at business communication level would be an advantage
• Personable, diligent and organised in approach to work
