Position SummaryThis role reports directly to the Purchasing Manager and supports the procurement function across sourcing, supplier coordination, and record management. The successful candidate will work in a purchasing team of four members and contribute to the smooth operation of our international supply chain.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Purchasing Manager with daily procurement tasks.
- Communicate with suppliers to follow up on orders and delivery timelines.
- Monitor material supply and report potential shortages.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and update supplier databases.
- Support price and delivery term negotiations under supervision.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth purchasing processes.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in either purchasing or the watch industry.
- Familiarity with watch components or consumer goods is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Proficient in English and Mandarin.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

- Computer proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Good communication skills in English both upwards to Senior Management and laterally to business partners both internal and external
- Remain driven when faced with challenging trading positions and/or directives from senior management

Position Description
Reporting to the General Manager, Strategy Planning & OEM, the Procurement Manager, VDO Project will lead and manage procurement functions for the set-up of the new Vietnam Operations. The jobholder supports the procurement related requests / projects and contract development for Vietnam Operations.
What You'll Do
- To ensure proper corporate governance throughout the procurement activities in a fair, open and impartial way, including policy, procedures compliance and continuous input on any improvement areas.
- To lead the procurement related request and contract development with good KPI target achievement, including but not limited to, shortening sourcing, processing lead time and cost savings.
- To identify opportunities for execution of procurement strategies.
- To monitor the suppliers’ performance effectively.
- To mitigate the safety and sustainability risks of outsourcing.
- To ensure proper implementation of good procurement practices and control.
- To lead the projects or being contract manager for those purchase recommendation and decision with a longer term and higher financial impact to the company and other group companies if applicable.
- To carry out strategic analysis on data for development of cost saving opportunities and execution of proper risk management.
- To be actively involved in staff engagement initiatives and people management.
- To conduct cost saving studies and make recommendation on group contract development.
What You'll Need
1. Functional and other Relevant Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of solid procurement experience.
- Product and market knowledge in related category of purchases is an advantage.
2. Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge
- Recognized degree in any disciplines, procurement / business / management related an advantage.
- Professional qualification in procurement and supply is required.
- Excellent command of English and Chinese, both spoken and written.

- Issue purchase orders and share them to vendors according to the strategy defined by the Sourcing and Buying Manager
- Manage and maintain purchase order (validation and modification through systems, execution of the supply plan)

Job Description
- Develop and manage supplier relationships to ensure optimal quality, cost efficiency, and long-term collaboration.
- Lead product development initiatives, aligning with current market trends and evolving consumer demands.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to uncover sourcing opportunities, emerging innovations, and competitive advantages.
- Negotiate supplier contracts to secure favourable terms, pricing, and service-level agreements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain operations.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, implementing continuous improvement strategies where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, ethical, and quality standards in sourcing and procurement activities.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to update senior management on sourcing strategies, supplier performance, and market insights.
- A degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in sourcing and product development within the FMCG sector.
- Candidate with sourcing and product development experience in woven& knit, specially silk is highly preferred.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Ability to analyse market trends and translate them into actionable strategies.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A proactive mindset and a results-driven approach.
- Competitive salary package: HKD 540,000-660,000 annually.

Cathay Subsidiary Services consists of several independent departments that provides professional services to Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and its subsidiaries (the ‘Company’), including but not limited to Cathay Cargo Terminal, Cathay Dining, HAS by Cathay and Vogue Laundry Service Limited.
The selected candidate will predominantly oversee the procurement and supplier relationship management of the direct procurement portfolio as well as project-based tasks as required.
Key categories include:
- Dairy & dry goods
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Head of Direct Procurement to formulate and support the implementation of a comprehensive direct procurement strategy for the portfolio.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends which may have positive or negative impacts developing strategies to leverage or mitigate these.
- Oversee portfolio performance. Formulate and implement actions to achieve performance goals.
- Enforce corporate governance in the team. Ensure full compliance.
- Lead engagement with departments and teams internally, constructively challenging requirements as well as identifying and capitalising on synergies identified.
- Develop and execute negotiation strategies for key high value/volume contracts and tenders within assigned remit.
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
- University graduate in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5-years’ relevant experience. Experienced in the procurement of food with detailed knowledge of both the Hong Kong and overseas markets is highly preferred.
- Procurement & category management knowledge a must.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong data analytics and numerical abilities.
- Logical and detailed-minded with experience in process improvement.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of accounting principles as well as commercial contracting.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
