Greenventorous is an independent small-scale research firm dedicated to fostering a greener Bangladesh. We work to encourage companies to adopt environmentally sustainable practices. Additionally, we provide free educational experiences to school and university students, helping them gain knowledge about climate change, sustainability, and environmental issues.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role as Coordinator of Volunteers located in Hong Kong. The Coordinator of Volunteers will be responsible for overseeing volunteer recruitment, training, and management. Daily tasks include organizing community outreach programs, facilitating communication with volunteers, and ensuring effective volunteer engagement. The role requires excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to maintain a motivated and efficient volunteer workforce.

Qualifications

• Experience in Volunteer Training and Volunteer Management
• Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities
• Ability to conduct and manage Community Outreach programs
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team on-site
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or related field is a plus
• Experience in environmental or sustainability initiatives is beneficial

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Collaborate with the fundraising team to maintain ongoing communication and gather feedback from over 70 existing foundations and corporate grant-makers/donors;
• Assist in the setup and timely maintenance of the donor and stakeholder CRM system;
• Plan and execute corporate volunteering engagement activities, working closely with programme team staff and corporate partner representatives;
• Help organise fundraising events such as movie premieres and walkathons;
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop new collaborative sports programmes that align with our four missions and create a meaningful impact;
• Support the writing of fundraising proposals in English and Chinese for funding applications;
• Support programme staff in writing partnership reports to communicate funding impact to partners;
• Work closely with the communications team to communicate programme output and outcomes to partners, potential donors and the general public;
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A Degree holder in any discipline with at least 2 years' experience in any industry with a track record of stakeholder management and intensive copywriting work. Fresh graduates with excellent Chinese and English writing skills will also be considered
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Cantonese, fluent in Mandarin a plus;
• Strong sports/charity sense, creative and independent;
• A leader to host and manage events with confidence and a sense of team;
• Excellent interpersonal skills, outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic;
• A strong team player capable of working with different personalities from different functional backgrounds;
• Strong ability to complete multiple assignments concurrently whilst balancing competing priorities and meeting deadlines;
• Willing to travel to various districts in Hong Kong in weekday evenings and weekends, with transport subsidy and compensation leave;
• Knowledge of and passion for sports and the charitable sector preferre

The Job
As part of the Healthy Community team of the Charities & Community Division, you will support the Senior Manager, Charities to:

• Ensure effective execution of the project, including but not limited to implementation of all the required project governance and controls, preparation of reports, and maintenance of records for the Club's management team and Charities' Trust's review
• Develop the project plan including the tasks, deliverables, schedules and resources required, and maintain a repository of documentations for project governance and audit purposes, including but not limited to funding proposals, agreements, progress reports, meeting minutes, and project publications etc.
• Monitor the delivery and effectiveness of the project's activities to ensure that they are in line with the project objectives and timelines, and work closely with external project partners to ensure deliverables are in accordance with specifications, schedules and expectations
• Plan and monitor matters related to finance (budget monitoring), purchasing and supplies functions (e.g., handling procurement and coordinating contracts and milestone payments to related vendors)
• Work with Senior Manager to design and implement stakeholder engagement and publicity strategies, including liaison with industry partners, government, community leaders, and to promote the project to general public
• As part of TIPs governance process, coordinate progress updates from external project partners and JC project team and provide secretarial support to the Advisory Committee and the sub-committees/working groups of the project
• Carry out other duties as directed by management

About You

• Bachelor's degree or above in Social Sciences, Public Health or related discipline
• A minimum of 6 years' experience in fund or project management
• Background on public health or social sciences preferred
• Experience in dealing/working with government, NGOs, education sector and
• professional bodies would be an added advantage
• Strong ability to interface with people with various functions and levels
• Strong project management skills
• Knowledge on government policies and insights on community service needs, particularly the public health and elderly services
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred
• Candidates with less experience may be considered for Senior Officer, Charities or Assistant Charities Manager
