Job Description

  • Manage end-to-end engineering projects for new watch designs, from concept to production, including prototyping, testing, and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and R&D teams to integrate mechanical movements, electronic modules, and materials like sapphire crystals and stainless steel.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with industry standards
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and performance evaluations for watch components such as chronographs, tourbillons, and smartwatch integrations.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce defects, and enhance product reliability in high-precision environments.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for sourcing specialized parts, ensuring quality control and supply chain reliability.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders on project progress and innovations.


The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's in Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in project engineering, ideally in watchmaking, luxury goods, or precision manufacturing industries.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), finite element analysis (FEA), and prototyping tools.
  • Familiarity with watch-specific technologies, including quartz movements, automatic calibers, and water-resistance testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

Job Description

  • This is a highly technical position (L3/L4 Support)
  • Provide deep domain and/or infrastructure experience coupled with advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities to provide root cause analysis of software issues and recommend the appropriate solutions
  • Provide technical and application support, and perform application administration and performance tuning
  • Work closely with engineering, QA and product management teams; identify and test workarounds for deficiencies in the software
  • Manage testing environments to support user acceptance testing
  • Liaise and follow up with solution vendor to resolve system incidents
  • Assist in managing the change control process on application systems
  • Assist in the system implementation, and acquisition of computer hardware, software and related services


The Successful Applicant

  • Experience with Financial Services Investment Management, Trading or related systems highly preferable
  • Experience working with a mix of vendor and in-house trading systems and settlement platforms
  • Any experience with the following is preferred: servers, operating systems, networks, scripting, XML, programming languages, job scheduling software, system monitoring software and disaster recovery/business continuity
  • Good knowledge of Windows Server, Unix, and SQL (both in a physical and Cloud environment)
  • Experience of front-to-back trading lifecycles across equities and derivatives products
  • Familiarity with FIX protocol and Electronic Execution platforms

Your Responsibilities

  • Support to create sample testing protocol and review testing result of consumer hardgoods
  • Review testing results according to international and specific in-house standards
  • Coordination of inspection, testing and audits preparation, quotation, booking as well as results and invoicing follow-up
  • Preparation of QA related documentation
  • Responsible for photography sampling, artwork briefing and review preparation.
  • Proactive communication and follow up with the internal departments, service providers and factories where necessary i.e. artwork approval
  • Liaise with suppliers and external service providers as required and directed by the Manager/ Director of the business team in a professional, polite manner
  • Become familiar with the products and responsibility areas within the supplier base of the business team, raising all communication and core business records as necessary
  • Utilize internal and external systems to research, input and extract relevant data

Your Requirements

  • At least (non-degree) tertiary education required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience, preferably gained in third party testing lab, sourcing/ buying offices, working with small domestic appliances
  • Hands-on experience with QA duties and testing standard of general hardgoods is highly advantageous
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a good team player
  • Good command of both verbal and written business English and fluency in Mandarin essential
  • Able to work independently, self-motivated, responsible, well-organized and willing to learn
  • Attention to detail and good organizing, coordination and planning skills
  • General knowledge of MS office and Exchange essential
  • High level of maturity, integrity, trustworthiness

The Senior Industrial Designer will lead the creative and technical development of soft case bags at Targus. This role requires not only a passion for innovation and aesthetics but also hands-on technical expertise in soft goods construction. You will be responsible for taking concepts from ideation to factory-ready specifications that uphold the Targus brand and product integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to the design and development of soft-sided bags, backpacks, and related accessories.
  • Apply deep understanding of soft goods construction, sewing techniques, and pattern making to inform design decisions and ensure manufacturability.
  • Develop accurate and detailed technical specification packages, including dimensional drawings, materials, trim details, BOMs, stitching, seam construction, and labeling.
  • Collaborate with pattern makers and development teams to refine prototypes and ensure production feasibility.
  • Create ideation sketches, renderings, and high-quality design presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Champion innovation in material selection, sustainable practices, hardware integration, and ergonomic design.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of bag construction, including stitch types, foam lamination, panel construction, reinforcement, and pattern making.
  • Proficiency in creating comprehensive technical specification packs used by overseas factories.
  • Skilled in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; familiarity with pattern design or 3D design tools (e.g., Clo3D, Rhino, SolidWorks) a plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.

The appointee will take part in relevant technical and production work for Performing Arts events organised by West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCDA), with areas include but not limited to stage, lighting, sound, projection, electrical production, follow spot operation, carpentry, props, scenic painting, costume making, tailor, wardrobe, makeup, wig, stage management, etc.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • delivering technical and production work during move-in, rehearsals, performances and move-out;
  • ensuring all assigned works to be carried out in the highest standard of safety, quality and efficiency; and
  • working effectively and efficiently as a member of the team.

You Should

  • preferably possess secondary school qualification or above;
  • have at least 1 year of relevant experience in performing arts, technical and production support for indoor and outdoor events; with knowledge and skills in relevant fields; (Candidates who possess at least 3 years of the above relevant experience may be considered for Senior Production Specialist)
  • be a team player with good communication skills;
  • be self-motivated and able to work independently; and
  • preferably have good command of spoken Cantonese and English.

Job Description

THE COMPANY:

  • Brand owner & manufacturer: optical lenses, optical frames, and optical accessories.
  • Factories in China & SE Asian countries, totaling 6 factories.
  • Hong Kong: sales and engineering offices.
  • Main markets: China, US, EU, Asia, Japan, Taiwan, among others.

The Job:

  • Report to the Technical Director.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of sustainable production processes on the production floors.
  • Evaluate overall efficiency of production processes.
  • Manage production to achieve daily goals and targets.
  • Monitor and record all process parameters.
  • Document and implement SOPs, new processes, process changes, including validation and reports.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and diagnose technical issues with equipment or systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
  • Collaborate with engineers, sales team, and project managers for smooth project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electronic/Electrical/PIE/Manufacturing/Production Engineering/Science or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing/production; optical field experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, PADS/Allege or similar software.
  • Ability to participate in project meetings and meet deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic, team player, effective communicator.
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
  • Willing to travel frequently within China and overseas.
