Job Description
As a Quality Control Inspector, you'll be reporting to an Operations Manager and working as a part of our Operations team. At QIMA, the role of Operations is to deliver our industry-leading services to our clients while ensuring that all the work is performed to the QIMA standard of quality. Your role in this will be to:
- Check email daily in order to receive inspection documents and guidelines;
- Attend inspections on time and communicate with suppliers in a professional way;
- Perform the inspection of the merchandise according to company procedures. Supervise the stuffing of the containers according to company procedures;
- Fulfill inspection reports according to company procedures and timelines.
Qualifications

- Knowledge of AQL standards, as well as relevant safety and quality regulations;
- Good command of English (spoken and written);

Responsibilities:
- Lead a team to manage and implement quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure a high food safety standard.
- Liaise with the Group Quality Assurance Department and work closely to update food safety and quality management system subject to local and international food safety regulations and standards.
- Develop new product guidelines, Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs), and training materials for local and overseas markets.
- Implement, review, and update operation processes, controls, and documentation procedures for both local and overseas markets.
- Identify compliance/safety risks and provide advice with actionable plans to ensure standards and customer satisfaction are fulfilled.
- Conduct inspections, on-site monitoring, food sampling, and audits for stores.
- Provide food hygiene training to frontline staff.
- Monitor the performance of operations and suppliers if requested.
- Evaluate, audit, and track suppliers’ performance in terms of production process, hygiene quality, and timely inspection.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Degree in Food Science or any related disciplines.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Assurance field, preferably in food retail or manufacturing industry.
- Familiar with Quality Management System, HACCP, and ISO 22000.
- Knowledgeable in Food Quality audits, International safety regulation SOP development, and product standards.
- Strong in HK food regulation and international food safety management systems.
- Self-motivated, well-organized, and a good team player.
- Good interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Good command of English and Chinese.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Chinese word processing.
