Job Description
Develop and implement a comprehensive quality strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives for the EMEA region.
Oversee the quality management system (QMS), ensuring it meets ISO/TS 16949 or equivalent standards and regulatory requirements.
Quality Assurance & Control
Establish and maintain rigorous quality control processes and inspection protocols to ensure product conformity.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address quality issues promptly and effectively.
Customer Focus
Foster strong relationships with customers, understanding their quality expectations, and ensuring they are met or exceeded.
Participate in customer audits and quality reviews, demonstrating commitment to continuous improvement.
Regulatory Compliance
Stay abreast of regulatory changes and standards in the EMEA region, ensuring timely compliance and adaptation of processes.
Coordinate and manage external audits and certifications to maintain and enhance the company's reputation.
Build and mentor a high-performing quality team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Implement training programs to enhance the quality competencies of the team and broader organization.
Supplier Management
Develop and execute supplier quality assurance programs, ensuring suppliers meet quality standards and deliver reliable products.
Collaborate with procurement to manage supplier performance and drive quality improvements.
Data-Driven Decision Making
Utilize quality data and metrics to identify trends, prioritize improvement areas, and measure the effectiveness of quality initiatives.
Present quality performance reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for strategic decisions.
The Successful Applicant
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Experience
Minimum of 10 years in quality management roles within the automotive industry, with at least 5 years at director level in an international context.
Technical Skills
Proven experience quality functions in the EMEA region.
Expertise in ISO/TS 16949, VDA 6.3, or equivalent quality standards.
Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma, and lean manufacturing principles.
Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
Fluent in English; knowledge of additional European languages is advantageous.
Problem-Solving
Proven ability to solve complex quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
Adaptability
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
