Position Summary:

Sells or renews the company’s products and/or services via telephone or electronic means to assigned territory, industry, or accounts. May generate prospective customers through cold calling and may qualify and follow up with sales leads. Focus on lead qualification and lead prospecting. Sales can be made through multichannel, inbound and/or outbound sales activities. Have technical knowledge of products, systems and services. May be responsible for large, diverse, complex territories and/or products. May overlay to the field sales force, typically supporting the initiatives of the field sales organization and carrying an individual or team quota that is shared with the field. Keeps up-to-date knowledge of the industry, as well as the competitive posture of the company, and prepares activity and forecast reports as requested. Has thorough knowledge of company products, systems and services. May direct customers to website or other company resources for information. May act as sole sales representative for assigned territory, industry, accounts, and/or products. May establish and maintain relationships with channel partners. Represents the company to the customer and the customer to the company in all sales-oriented activities. Focuses on acquiring new customers and retaining and growing an existing installed base of customers. Minimal business travel or work outside office required. Support back end activities such as order processing, quotation generation, delivery follow up etc.

What you bring to the role:

Seasoned individual contributor. Works under limited supervision for routine situations. Provides assistance and training to lower level employees. Problems typically are not routine and require analysis to understand. Makes minor adjustments to working methods. Explains practices, procedures and policies to reach agreement wit others outside of the job area.

Provides administrative or technical support at a senior level. Proficient in the various competencies relevant to their job. May act as a lead or mentor to more junior technical or administrative support personnel. Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.

Generally works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Normally receives little instruction on daily work. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments. May be informal team leader.

Two year college degree or equivalent experience and minimum 3 year experience in functional area. OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years functional experience, preferably at a senior level. Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the APAC region: Prospect, pitch, and close new business with OTAs, TMCs, wholesalers, and travel brands.

  • Execute full-cycle sales: From lead gen and demos to contract negotiation and handoff to success.

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of B2B SaaS sales, ideally in travel tech, hospitality tech, or data/API-driven platforms.

  • Cultural agility and regional understanding—APAC experience is a must.

  • Good presentation skills, able to articulate technical proposals to decision makers at both technical and business levels.
  • Knowledge in the application security domain is an advantage.
  • Knowledge in cloud and network environments.
  • Pro-active team player with the ability to work independently under sales objectives assigned.
  • Good interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and willing to take on challenging work.
  • Fluent in spoken and written Cantonese and English; Mandarin is preferable.

Global System Integrators (GSI) play a crucial role in Canonical growth plans in the coming 3 years. We are hiring a Senior Partner Sales Manager to work closely with Canonical GSI partners throughout their sales cycles and across their sales organizations to facilitate Ubuntu based solutions and opportunities, as well as help GSI build long term digital transformation platforms with Ubuntu stacks and services.

Working the the Partner Sales Director in their geographic region, the Senior Partner Sales Manager will be responsible for building trusted relationships with partners, increasing Canonical market share and attach rate, evangelizing about the partnership and leading all business interactions from engineers to CxO level. They will often run customer workshops focused on particular initiatives at that customer, attend sales events, give public presentations and participate in executive engagements as coordinated by the Senior Director.

  • Deep understanding of Linux and cloud software ecosystem, and open source selling models
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial business terms
  • Deep understanding of partner organizations and sales models, in particular with Global System Integrators
  • Work closely with marketing, sales engineering and product management to deliver on targets, objectives and provide a voice of the partner
  • Lead executive interlocks between partners and Canonical leadership team
  • Ability to travel - sometimes internationally - up to 40% of the time

What we are looking for in you

  • Extensive experience in alliance or indirect sales management roles
  • Extensive experience with OpenStack, virtualization, containers and other Cloud technologies.

What you'll be doing?

  • Reports to Technical Manager
  • Be assigned to complete pre-sales tasks including attending customer meetings, conducting solution or product presentations to customers, solution architecture design, BOM generation and providing support and assistance to salesmen to fulfill customer requirements and win the sales deals and etc
  • Meets a lot of opportunities of acquiring and being certified with AI-Embedded technologies across all on-premise and Cloud platform
  • Learns the knowledge of Compute infra revamped by AI technologies
  • Be responsible for proposal writing, solution presentation, and preparing project documentation

Requirements

Who are we looking for?

  • Diploma or Degree holder in IT or related disciplines
  • Attains At least FIVE YEARS of technical experience and solid skillset in compute infra or Cloud platform such as SAN storage, backup/recovery, and DR solutions
  • With SAN Storage, VMware, and HCI Solution certification are advantageous
  • Be capable of effective communication with different customers
  • Be Willing to learn and be aggressive
  • Can work independently
  • Be self-motivated with clear company and self objectives
  • LOVE IT
  • Senior System Engineer with similar experience and skillset will be considered

QMAS / ASMTP / TTPS Visa are Welcome.
