What You Will
- Responsible for installation, recovering, maintenance and testing of Automatic Fare Collection (AFC)
- Assist to conduct fault analysis and testing of AFC
- Provide a technical support to customer and ensure safety requirements and quality standards are met
- Outdoor work and shift duty are required
- Assist in ad-hoc assignments
- F.5 or above in Electronic Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines
- Basic computer skills knowledge
- Good communication skills
- Immediately available is preferred
- Fresh graduate will also be considered
- Candidates with less experience will be considered as Junior Technician or Technician

Job Overview
The position is accountable for the proper maintenance of physical plant, engineering facilities, and the interior and exterior of the entire hotel. The position is also responsible for the daily operation of the department, scheduling subordinates in carrying out routine maintenance and overhaul of hotel facilities, mechanical plants, apparatus and installations
Responsibilities
- To report duties and responsibilities to Director of Engineering and Duty Engineer/Foreman.
- To supervise subordinates to complete the assigned tasks according to the agreed repair and maintenance program.
- To be responsible for managing installation, maintenance and repairs projects of the hotel.
- To coordinate with contractors in carrying out routine maintenance.
- To assist in providing training for staff, evaluating their progress and performance periodically; and ensure that they are working in the most practical, skillful and safe manner.
- To assess safety and health risks in the work place and take necessary precautions if required.
- To check the daily progress of repair and maintenance work orders.
- To read the Engineering Log Book daily and take the corrective action as required.
- To attend the daily Departmental Briefing if required.
- Work in shift duty & over-time, emergency on-call if required.
- Report duty under typhoon signal hoisted and rainstorm condition or stay in hotel for standby if required.

Responsibilities (Con't)
- Diploma or Certificate in engineering field .
- Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker in Grade A and Grade B is preferred Electrical Heated Boilers & Heat Pump.
- Certificate of Construction Industry Safety Training.
- Certificated worker in confined space.
- Certificate in Fire Fighting course preferred.
- Certified Worker for Temporary Suspended Working Platform (Gondola).
- At least 2 years in air-conditioning repair and installation and worked experience in hotel operation is preferred.
- Responsible and reliable, initiative, mature and hardworking.
- Cantonese, English and Putonghua are preferred.
- Work in shift duty & over-time, emergency on-call if required.
- Report duty under typhoon signal hoisted and rainstorm condition or staying in hotel for standby if required.

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited (“the Company” or “China State Hong Kong”) started its construction business in Hong Kong in 1979. The Company engages in building construction and civil engineering works. China State Hong Kong is among the largest construction contractors in Hong Kong, and is approved by the Works Bureau, to be on the List of Approved Contractors (Group C) for Public Works in the five major categories of building and civil engineering works, namely, “Buildings”, “Port Works”, “Roads and Drainage”, “Site Formation” and “Waterworks”.
Responsibilities
General
- Be responsible to the Supervisor or his delegates for the supervision of the construction works and carry out duties of a Contractor Employed Building Services Inspector team as detailed in the Site Administration Handbook published by ArchSD which is available for inspection at Project Manager’s office with prior appointment during normal office hours.
- Manage and monitor the site activities conforming to the Client's Requirements, ArchSD's General Specifications, the Site Administration Handbook and other documents as specified by the Project Manager or his delegates.
- Travel to Mainland China is needed (fabrication of MiC unit and pre-cast element outside Hong Kong)
- Check samples and related documents against contract requirement and make comment to project team members.
- Keep approved samples in lockable and appropriate storage, and check against the materials delivered to Site for compliance against contract requirements.
- Identify and immediately report any errors in, or any discrepancies found, among the documents.
- Be responsible for the upkeep of site records including site record books and submission of all monthly returns.
- Maintain and update the filing systems as required by the Project Manager or Supervisor and his delegates.
- Check and report material and equipment compliance against contract requirements and approval on their delivery to site. Also, check the delivered & installed materials, plants & equipment, and ensure the compliance with accepted & contract requirements; and maintain all inspection records on Site.
- Inspect and report the installed works on the acceptable workmanship, drawing approvals, installation requirements and maintain the site inspection records.
- Witness on-site and off-site tests as required by the contract and record the results in the site record book.
- Check and update the daily labour strength (including check qualified tradesmen & intermediate tradesmen) and works activities on site, and report immediately any deficiency.
- Check the requirements under the “Construction Site Safety Manual” and relevant statutory parties are complied with.
- Monitor all environmental, health and safety aspects of the contractors’ work. Report all non-compliance of safety procedures immediately to the Contractor’s representative, and record this in the site record book.
- Monitor and report immediately any unavailable technical approvals, including drawings before the inspections of works to be covered up.
- Maintain and update the following records and summary in the format as required by the Project Manager or Supervisor and his delegates:
- Material and equipment checking.
- Provide Site Progress Reports for Site Progress Meetings.
- Submit site progress, the technical, accident and special reports to Project Manager or his delegates as required.
- Check Contractor’s setting out of all elements. Carry out routine inspections of building works and check for conformity with the Client’s Requirements, accepted design, drawings, specification and contract requirements. Report to the Supervisor or his delegates on all unsatisfactory works.
- Monitor the progress of on-site and off-site works against the accepted programme. Maintain site record including site record books and submit monthly returns to concerned parties as required.
- Take site photos on site progress of works installation and noticeable defective works and non-compliance of works.
- Attend project and contractors progress meetings as required and as directed by the Project Manager or his delegates.
- Liaise with the Supervisor on all site matters.
- Liaise and co-ordinate with the other government departments and public utilities companies for the work on site as required.
- Arrange and attend the pre-handing over and handing over inspections with relevant parties, including inspections by FSD, statutory parties, utilities services, users, clients’ departments, maintenance agents, etc.
- Carry out any inspection works, prepare any site records and reports and witness and report the acceptance of all testing and commissioning works as required by the Supervisor and the Supervisor’s delegates.
- Carry out inspection of Defect and outstanding building work at the Completion of the works.
- Carry out such other duties as directed by the Project Manager or Supervisor or his delegates.
- Supervise the on-site and off-site building works.
- Provide and update the list of outstanding and defective works and arrange inspections.
- Arrange handover of spare material and as-built records including drawings complete with manuals, warranties and certificates to the maintenance agents.
- Monitor and report the progress and status periodically on the followings:
- Submission and readiness of As-built drawings. (ii) Submission and readiness of Test reports. (iii) The progress of Defect rectification and completion of outstanding / additional works. (iv) Abortive works, and compensation events covered by Project Manager’s Instructions.
- Arrange final inspections with relevant parties.
- Carry out any inspections and prepare any site records including site record book and reports for outstanding and defective works as required by the Supervisor and his delegates.
- Advise the Supervisor or his delegates concerning the rectification of Defect by the Contractor during the period between Completion and the defects date.
- Attend all site meetings, site inspections audits and take follow up the corrective actions on non-compliance.
- Return all of the above site records and files as required by the Supervisor and the Supervisor’s delegates.
Certificate in Building or Building Studies and;
Attained a level of proficiency in Chinese and English Languages equivalent to Form 5 standard together with;
Three (3) years relevant post-qualification experience of site supervision

Role Purpose
- Assist engineer to perform all maintenance tasks, defect troubleshooting and rectification;
- Lead a mechanic team to maintain LM's daily operation;
- Plan and allocate the mechanics manpower according to the work program and the qualification required for day-to-day aircraft maintenance activities. Ensure that the work is performed efficiently and to the prescribed standards;
- Ensure safety procedures with airworthiness regulation are strictly complied by the mechanic;
- Ensure all documentation and work cards are correctly and completely record;
- Ensure all LM vehicles are clean and tidy during shift. Report for any defects and accidents correctly and timely;
- Ensure ramp office is clean and tidy during the shift;
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned by Assistant Manager, Line Maintenance.
- Degree/Diploma holder in Engineering and/or a qualification that demonstrates suitable experience in aircraft maintenance;
- Over 8 years of working experience in airlines M&E/MRO, including 2 years of supervisory experience, and being familiar with the Airbus A320 series is of advantageous;
- Familiarize with using or reading technical manual;
- Exercise good judgment in working with people in a team environment as well as in aircraft maintenance and safety;
- Willingness to work in variable shift duty;
- Good command of spoken and written English, Chinese language is a plus.
