OverviewInspector of Works – Civil role with responsibilities across site surveys, design stage checks, on-site inspection, progress monitoring, and coordination for construction projects in the airport area. Nightshift position with duties during the construction phase and handover processes.
Responsibilities- Full-time nightshift duty.
- Carry out site survey and checking in design stage, inspect site works and monitor site progress in construction stage.
- Review Contractors’ drawings proposals and material submissions for conformity with the relevant Works Contracts.
- Resolving site problems and drawing ambiguities which may arise to enable works to continue and to be carried out timely.
- Manage Testing and Commissioning and handover of completed works.
- Handle daily coordination to facilitate carrying out of site works.
- A holder of a Diploma / Higher Certificate in Civil engineering
- Possess a minimum of 8 years relevant working experience in site supervision and monitoring of relevant engineering construction.
- Preferably be experienced working under a live operating environment.
- Working Experience in project management and site supervision would be an advantage. Preferably possess the Confined Space Card and Green Card.
- Possess a valid HK driving license (class 1, 2) is preferred
- A holder of a Diploma / Higher Certificate in Civil engineering
- Possess a minimum of 4 years relevant working experience in site supervision and monitoring of relevant engineering construction.
- Preferably be experienced working under a live operating environment. Working Experience in project management and site supervision would be an advantage.
- Preferably possess the Confined Space Card and Green Card.
- Possess a valid HK driving license (class 1, 2) is preferred.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide/Assist in RAMS assessment of railway/mobility application systems/subsystems/products according to international railway standards and other applicable requirements;
- Provide/Assist in consultancy on railway/mobility applications, sustainability services, and other consulting projects;
- Provide/Assist in project management to ensure project deliverables are of good quality and timely;
- Provide/Assist in preparing technical proposals and offers;
- Receive in-house/external training (including on-the-job and lecture training).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor or Master of Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer/Software, or equivalent);
- Candidates with 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience or more in any of the following areas will have a strong advantage:
- Technical review/consultancy services in one (or more) of the following railway disciplines (Rolling Stock, Signalling, Power Supply, Telecommunication, or other railway E&M systems);
- Safety-related experience in the railway industry and application of Railway Standards (EN 50126/8/9, IEC 61508, etc.);
- Excellent report preparation skills using MS Office;
- Flexibility to travel (occasionally depending on project locations/schedules);
- Independent, self-disciplined, and diligent in working under high pressure;
- Capable of working alone without much supervision;
- Strong communication skills and good command of English;
- Office Location: Hong Kong.

- Liaise with contractors and monitor their performance

- Develop novel tools and techniques to develop smart and sustainable water technologies.
