Responsibilities:

1. 
Project Management & Development

  • Lead the mechanical engineering team in completing ODM/OEM projects, including mechanical design, simulation validation (e.g., structural strength, thermal analysis), and DFM (Design for Manufacturing) optimization.
  • Develop project timelines to ensure on-time delivery of mechanical design phases while meeting customer specifications and industry standards (e.g., IP ratings, drop tests).
  • Collaborate with electronics, firmware, and industrial design teams to resolve cross-disciplinary technical issues.

  • Technical Leadership & Innovation

  • Lead the design and development of complex mechanical structures (e.g., precision transmission, thermal management systems, waterproofing solutions) and promote the adoption of new materials and manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, stamping, CNC machining).

  • Review design drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation to ensure manufacturability, maintainability, and cost targets.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues in mass production (e.g., tolerance stack-up, mold defects) through root cause analysis and technical problem-solving.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends such as lightweight design, energy efficiency optimization, and lifecycle assessment (LCA).

  • Team & Process Development

  • Build and mentor the mechanical engineering team to enhance technical capabilities and collaboration efficiency.

  • Optimize design processes and standards, implementing tools such as CAD/CAE/PLM systems.
  • Manage technical engagements with suppliers (e.g., mold manufacturers, material suppliers) to ensure component quality and delivery timelines.

  • Customer & Market Support

  • Participate in client technical meetings to understand requirements and provide mechanical design solutions.

  • Support the marketing team in technical proposals, competitor analysis, and patent strategy.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Precision Instrumentation, or related fields.

Experience & Skills:

  • 8+ years of mechanical design experience, including 3+ years in team management. Experience in ODM for electronic devices, home appliances (white goods), high-power products, or wireless devices is preferred. Experience with North American/European clients is a plus.
  • Proficiency in mechanical design software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., Flow Simulation, CFD, Moldflow).
  • Familiarity with full-cycle electronic product development and processes such as injection molding, die-casting, and sheet metal fabrication.
  • Strong cost awareness and mass production mindset, with experience in supply chain management and factory collaboration.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and project management skills.

Language:

  • Fluent in English and Chinese (for communication with international clients/teams).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in IoT wireless products, automotive electronics, or thermal management.
  • Knowledge of EU/US certification standards (e.g., CE, IEC, EN, UL, FCC) and reliability testing (e.g., vibration, salt spray tests).
  • Familiarity with SAP.
  • Willingness to travel to our Shenzhen R&D office and Dongguan manufacturing plant.

  • Work on the design and manufacturing process of the Home Appliance
  • Assist in the mechanical design of a product to fulfil requirements, including but not limited to components and material selections, 3D/2D drawing, definition of specifications, BOM preparation, NPD and production process, and maintenance of design changes, etc

Mission:


• Ensure safe maintenance execution of Mechanical Equipment, compliant with HSE rules, legislative regulations and international std.


• Set and promote Leadership in Safety attitudes


• Bring leadership and supervision and provide support to team members in terms of technical and individual performance capability


• Be responsible for supporting the close out of any gaps in the competency standards for all team members

Tasks:

Maintenance Execution


• Ensure that the services are carried out in strict compliance with Company and Client current HSE rules


• Plan Preventive and Corrective Maintenance operations (routine and short-term)


• Coordinate all Cont ractor personnel for the smooth execution of the services

Maintenance planning


• Anticipate, plan and request the logistical means necessary for sm ooth maintenance operations, taking into account the various constraints when planning and carrying out operations


• Take part of site coordination meetings


• Ensure the Preparation of Maintenance reports for submission to Company


• Ensure the movement of spare parts according to the requirements of Maintenance operations


• Check and validate all technical reports in CMMS and ensure work history is comprehensively recorded in line with CMMS data quality requirements


• Carry out appropriate reporting, on the progress of maintenance operations and, if necessary, on difficulties encountered


• Ensure the Contractor Personnel complete and record all handovers (daily, weekly and rotation)

Technical Support/Methods


• Ensure the appropriateness of the operating and maintenance procedures employed by his crews and, if necessary, suggests improvements


• Ensure coordination between maintenance Operations and Preparation teams


• Keep an up-to-date list of works that cannot be performed except during inspections of machines or shutdowns


• Keep files of requests for studies of modifications and improvements


• Suggest corrective measures if a Maintenance backlog could become unmanageable


• Maintain a permane nt anticipation on the potential problems that could occur in the production plant, with close relationship with other sections, in order to prevent non-productive or non-efficient operations

Team Leading

Be responsible for his teams onsite, specifically:


• Organize the rotation schedules of his teams


• Identify the training needs of his teams and make training requests as appropriate


• Propose all necessary adjustments related to the Nationalization plan


• Propose appraisal and Competence assessment for his staff


• Set expectations, coach and mentor technicians with regards to acceptable attitudes and behaviors

HSE


• Demonstrate commitment to safety through language, behavior and actions


• Ensure the correct behavior of his teams in accordance with the general safety regulations of the subsidiary and, if needed, take the necessary corrective measures


• Ensure all necessary controls to mitigate risks and/or eliminate hazards


• Performance monitoring via regular observation of working practices, assessing compliance with safe systems of work and work instructions
