Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international humanitarian organization that provides impartial medical care to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from health care in over 70 countries. Job Purpose
To support major gifts team in implementing and coordinating fundraising programmes, aimed at acquiring, cultivating and retaining existing and prospective MSF HK individual major donors.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Donor Cultivation: Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective major donors through personalized communication, meetings, and events. Understand their philanthropic interests and develop strategies to engage them effectively.
- Donor Solicitation: Help to develop compelling and persuasive solicitation strategies tailored to each donor's interests and capacity for giving to raise the targeted amount of donation income. Clearly articulate the impact of their support and present funding opportunities that align with their philanthropic goals.
- Stewardship: Ensure timely and personalized acknowledgement of major gifts and ongoing stewardship of donors. Provide regular updates on how their contributions are making a difference and maintain open lines of communication to nurture long-term relationships.
- Prospect Research: Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify new major gift prospects. Utilize various resources and networks to gather information about potential donors and their giving history.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders, peers in MSF HK, the MSF movement and third-party service providers, in support for timely implementation of fundraising programmes as set out in the annual plan.
- Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks such as managing donor databases, preparing donor correspondence and maintaining accurate records of donor interactions. Support the team with general administrative duties as needed.
- Knowledge Sharing: Participate in relevant working groups within MSF movement for knowledge sharing and learning as deemed appropriate by the Philanthropy Manager.
The Ideal Candidate
- University graduate.
- Have a minimum 3 years’ experience in customer service or administration.
- Experience working in an NGO is distinct advantage.
- Evidence a strong interest in humanitarian affairs and a commitment to the aims and values of Médecins Sans Frontières.
- Have strong project management skills and be detailed-orientated.
- Native Chinese speaking.
- Have excellent proficiency in English and Chinese (both written and spoken).
- Be a team player with strong interpersonal skills, be able to multi-task, and be willing to assist with tasks outside direct job description.
- Be willing to occasionally work during weekends or special events.
- Have a proactive personality and be spontaneous in initiating suggestions or actions to achieve objectives and improve donor relations.
- Have strong customer service skills, be comfortable with public speaking and have a friendly, approachable demeanor

Position Overview
The Director of University Student and Youth Ministrywill work alongside the current Youth Ministry Director to strengthen discipleship, evangelism, and outreach programs for middle and high school students, while also developing new initiatives for university student engagement. This role requires a passionate, relational, and spiritually mature leader who can nurture faith development, foster Christian community, and expand the church's ministry to youth across all age groups (middle school, high school, and university).
Key Responsibilities
Middle & High School Ministry (Support & Strengthen Existing Programs)
Support the current Youth Ministry Director in the following areas:
- Create and implement strategic direction and engaging programs for middle and high school students
- Plan and co-lead youth gatherings every Friday evening and Sunday morning
- Build transformative relationships through mentorship and spiritual guidance
University Student Ministry
- Create and implement a strategy to engage university students in Hong Kong
- Create and lead outreach events, activities and programs tailored to university students
- Foster connections between university students and the broader church community
- Build transformative relationships through discipleship, mentorship and spiritual guidance
- Integrate student ministry initiatives such as Bridges International and others
Qualifications & Requirements
- Committed follower of Christ, aligned with the church’s mission and values
- Prior involvement in youth and/or campus ministry (volunteer or professional)
- Degree in Theology, Ministry, or related field preferred (not mandatory)
- Strongteaching, mentoring, and relational abilities
- Visionary yet practicalin program development
- Organized and proactivein managing events and volunteers
- Strong communication skills - both verbal and written

The Department
Reporting directly to the Head of Charities (Positive Ageing & Elderly Care; and Healthy Community) or Executive Manager (Positive Ageing & Elderly Care), the job holder will have the primary duty in managing the overall planning, development and implementation of the Broadening Outreach Scheme to provide funding and capacity building to small non-profit organisations (the Scheme).
The Department
Reporting directly to the Head of Charities (Positive Ageing & Elderly Care; and Healthy Community) or Executive Manager (Positive Ageing & Elderly Care), the job holder will have the primary duty in managing the overall planning, development and implementation of the Broadening Outreach Scheme to provide funding and capacity building to small non-profit organisations (the Scheme).
The Job
- Conducting background research; identifying and inviting potential agencies to join the Scheme through sector-specific engagement.
- Working closely with Scheme partners to review organisational governance and control and ensure organisational health checks. Identifying any red flags (including governance and control) for consideration.
- Initiating and assessing funding applications before making recommendations to the Executive Director, Charities and Community. Ensuring that the reviewed and recommended applications meet community needs and comply with the Scheme's policies and guidelines.
- Co-developing new initiatives and exploring opportunities for collaboration with small non-profit organisations to address emerging and diverse community needs through charity contributions, and facilitating networking opportunities for small non-profit organisations to build social capital and foster collaboration.
- Proposing appropriate conditions for grantees, monitoring spending of donated funds, handling budget virements, assisting in compiling statistical/financial/progress reports and project updates, and reporting on special situations with recommendations to management.
- Monitoring approved projects to ensure they are implemented and completed according to schedule, pledged output and outcomes, and within the original agreed scope and budget. Handling other project management and administrative matters such as publicity, database maintenance, impact measurement, correspondence handling, record maintenance and arrangement of meetings.
- Must have a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience, with at least 6 years at a senior level, preferably in the field of social sciences, social welfare, health or charity and grant-making.
- Must have extensive experience in dealing with different stakeholders, such as non-profit organisations, government officials, academic bodies and local foundations in relation to philanthropic matters in Hong Kong.
- Good communication and writing skills in both English and Chinese.
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience.

Purpose:

- Assisting to manage the collaboration project with the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (“CSCLF”) and the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (“HKFYG”) on nurturing Hong Kong youth in innovation and technology with national and global outlook (“the Project”) and other Trust-funded / IoP-funded projects
- Providing administration and operations support while working with internal and external stakeholders and contractors as well
The Job

About You

- Knowledge of Mainland philanthropy sector is required

The Department
Reporting to Deputy Executive Manager (Operations) of SPOR, the job holder will assist in formulating policies and guidelines on risk management and compliance, and handle cases related to risk and compliance of Trust-funded or Charities’ projects.
The Job
- Support DEM (Operations) in developing policies, guidelines, and procedures on risk and compliance for Trust-funded or Charities’ projects.
- Assist in due diligence and compliance matters, including handling specific cases with compliance issues.
- Follow up on audit exercises by Internal Audit and special audits by the Trust on grantees to enhance governance.
- Work with programme teams to develop project plans and management processes for risk and compliance, ensuring effective implementation.
- Maintain standards of compliance for Trust-funded and Charities’ projects.
- Conduct reviews and refine risk management and compliance infrastructure.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree or above.
- At least 10 years’ senior compliance experience in sizeable organizations, preferably with NGOs, Government, or social service sectors.
- Passion for charities and community services.
- Excellent problem-solving, writing (English and Chinese), and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and personal drive with an innovative mindset.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Project management, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
