- Support and lead new projects with a focus on automation.
- Advise on Fund Accounting workflows to standardize processes across Asia to enhance efficiency.
- Review processes for standardization and automation opportunities, engaging with external service providers like fund administrators, custodians, and tax advisors.
- Assist with annual tax compliance and the implementation of tax processes across Funds in Asia.
- Handle internal control tasks, support tax-related projects, audits, and remediation of tax audit issues.
- Provide support on tax aspects such as withholding tax documentation, tax treaty benefits, GST reclaims, and tax implications of new products and seed capital.
- Support the Fund NAV process by implementing rules (e.g., tax provisions, withholding tax liabilities) and overseeing tax reclaims from various jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with external tax agents, ensuring compliance with tax obligations, policies, and regulations.
- Stay updated on financial, tax, and accounting developments in Asia and communicate relevant impacts to stakeholders.Required Qualifications
- University degree with recognized professional designation in accounting.
- 7+ years of experience in financial reporting for investment funds, preferably with Big 4 firms.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/HKFRS/Lux GAAP and regulatory reporting for investment funds, including tax issues (Luxembourg, Cayman, Hong Kong, Singapore, etc.).
- Familiarity with tax laws and upcoming regulatory changes in key Asian jurisdictions (Singapore, Hong Kong, India, China, Malaysia, etc.) is an asset.
- Knowledge of Net Asset Value calculations, fund accounting practices, dividend distribution, and fee calculation.
- Strong business partnering and interpersonal skills, with experience negotiating and influencing stakeholders.
- Excellent command of English and Chinese (preferred).
- People-oriented personality with strong communication skills, capable of tailoring messages to diverse audiences, including senior executives.
- Minimal travel required.

+ Review of existing processes to explore opportunities for standardization and automation initiatives including engagement with external service providers like Fund Administration, custodians, tax advisors etc.
+ Assist with annual Tax compliance and implementation of Tax processes for Funds across Asia.
+ Assist in handling internal control tasks, support and direct tax-related projects including audits and remediation of any potential tax audit issues.
+ Provide support and advice on tax related aspects such as documentation for withholding tax reclaims; entitlement of tax treaty benefits, Fund GST reclaims, tax implications for new product launches and seed capital
+ Support the Fund NAV process by implementing rules (e.g. tax provisions, accrued withholding tax liabilities) and oversight of tax reclaims from different investment jurisdictions.
+ Collaborate with external tax agents and ensure strict adherence to all tax obligations, internal policies and country regulations.
+ Keep abreast of relevant financial, tax and accounting developments in Asia and share relevant impact on the Funds with stakeholders.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ University degree with recognized professional designation with majors in accounting.
+ 9+ years' work experience in financial reporting for investment funds (Prior experience in Big 4 accounting firms strongly preferred).
+ Strong IFRS/ HKFRS/ Lux GAAP and regulatory financial reporting knowledge in investment funds including tax related issues (Luxemburg, Cayman, Hong Kong, Singapore etc.).
+ Familiarities of tax laws and upcoming regulatory changes in key Asia jurisdictions Manulife operates in (Singapore, Hong Kong, India, China, Malaysia, etc.) is an asset.
+ Knowledgeable in Mutual Fund Net Asset Value calculations, fund accounting practices, dividend distribution and fee calculation.
+ Strong business partnering, interpersonal skills with experience of negotiating and influencing across a wide range of stakeholders.
+ Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (preferred).
+ Have an outward-looking, people-oriented personality with great communication skills with the ability to cater a message to various stakeholders, including senior executive and non-technical audiences.
+ Minimal travelling may be required

What You'll Be Doing
- Responsible for preparing the statutory financial accounting and reporting for the Group, including the half-year and full year consolidated financial statements under IFRS on a timely basis
- Assist to liaise with the auditors, legal counsels, tax, business and regional finance teams
- Provide accounting support to the group and regional finance team and assist in Preparation of technical accounting papers
- Prepare the group accounting policies, including the implementation of process and system changes
- Participate in establishing, implementing and improving controls and business processes
- Prepare tax accounting computation (i.e. deferred tax, provisional tax)
- Assist in ad-hoc special projects, including but not limited to valuation, internal control processes, M&A, adoption of new accounting standards, system implementation, etc
- Continued focus in improving business and finance processes
- Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in preparing/managing/auditing complex group consolidation (i.e. subsidiary, associate, Joint venture, non-controlling interest) in Big 4 external audit or commercial are desired
- Experience in managing US IPO project or announcements to US stock exchanges
- Degree in Accountancy or recognizable accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA and etc.)
- Strong business acumen who can effectively navigate complex business environments and drive strategic decision-making and attentive to detail, and excellence in stakeholder management
- Competent in IFRS/US GAAP
- Willing to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- System-savvy, proficient in Microsoft Excel and power point

Responsibilities include:- Overseeing the General Ledger, Fixed Asset, and Lease modules, including monthly reconciliations.
- Completing monthly accruals, journal entries, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules.
- Partnering with FP&A to support the month-end close process.
- Reviewing monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and management reports.
- Ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
- Reviewing intercompany invoices and reports, including aging and reconciliation reports.
- Collaborating with markets, primarily US, Europe, South Korea, Japan, and Mainland China, on intercompany transactions.
- Participating in system enhancement projects related to intercompany processes.
- Liaising with external auditors and managing audit-related activities.
- Assisting in process improvements and systems enhancements.
- Proactively identifying initiatives to improve efficiency.
- HKICPA or equivalent qualification with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager, Record to Report for our Asia Pacific region to oversee general accounting operations, focusing on controlling and reporting. Responsibilities include managing books for APAC entities, reconciling accounts, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of accounting principles, capable of analyzing financial reports and forecasts. Experience in leading or collaborating with finance teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in accounting tasks is essential.
Responsibilities include:- Overseeing the General Ledger, Fixed Asset, and Lease modules, including monthly reconciliations.
- Completing monthly accruals, journal entries, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules.
- Partnering with FP&A to support the month-end close process.
- Reviewing monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and management reports.
- Ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
- Reviewing intercompany invoices and reports, including aging and reconciliation reports.
- Collaborating with markets, primarily US, Europe, South Korea, Japan, and Mainland China, on intercompany transactions.
- Participating in system enhancement projects related to intercompany processes.
- Liaising with external auditors and managing audit-related activities.
- Assisting in process improvements and systems enhancements.
- Proactively identifying initiatives to improve efficiency.
- HKICPA or equivalent qualification with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
- Experience working for a sizable MNC, preferably in retail or commerce across Asia-Pacific.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (V-Lookup, PivotTables).
- Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with senior executives and team members.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.

Our client is a MNC retail company with global presence. They are looking for a Regional Accounting Manager due to business expansion.
Job Description
- Supervise and oversee all aspects of financial activities, including accounting, tax compliance and financial reporting
- Responsible for the month-end closing to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Liaise with internal/ external auditors and tax consultants in relation to statutory audit and tax matters
- Work with local and regional teams to simplify and optimise financial processes, as well as to strengthen internal controls
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. Qualified Accountant preferred
- Minimum 10+ year's relevant experiences in accounting operations
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly skillful with Excel and PowerPoint
- Prior experience in ERP system; experienced in system enhancement
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
