We are seeking an Associate Director of Tax Accounting to lead the Company's tax accounting and reporting functions through a period of growth and IPO readiness. This role will be the bridge between our global tax strategy and execution, ensuring accurate tax reporting, SOX-aligned controls, and high-quality disclosures in our financial statements and IPO S-1 filing. KPMG is currently seeking a Tax Associate to join our U.S. Business Tax Services practice in one of our US off-shore locations:
Hong Kong
Responsibilities:

  • Provide U.S. tax compliance and advisory services to
  • pass-through entities and partnerships for a variety of Asset Management clients
  • Build and manage client relationships
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team helping to provide industry knowledge and experience in support of client engagements
  • Advise clients and be accountable for delivering high quality tax service and advice
  • Participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm

Qualifications:

  • Zero to one year of U.S. partnership, flow-through or corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation, and/or law firm
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and eligibility to sit for the CPA exam or foreign equivalent
  • Knowledge of U.S. federal, state and local tax laws, and regulations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and the ability to articulate complex information in an advisory or compliance capacity; If located in Hong Kong or Singapore: ability to communicate in Mandarin Chinese or Cantonese Chinese languages are preferred but not necessary
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to handle multiple engagements and client service teams

As part of a team of 35,000 tax professionals across the globe in 150 countries, you will advise clients on planning, compliance and reporting wherever the client has needs. Your Key Responsibilities
Your role is to provide administrative support for EY Tax Group, including document delivery (indoor & outdoor), general office maintenance and data entry, etc.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Form 5 or above.
  • Minimum 1 year's relevant working experience, preferably in professional services or sizable firm.
  • Good command of both spoken & written English & Chinese.
  • Basic computer knowledge is an advantage.
  • Immediate availability is preferred.

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
