Principal Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of actuarial analysts, ensuring high-quality output and professional growth
- Review and validate the work of Senior Actuarial Analysts, ensuring actuarial models, reports, and calculations meet professional and regulatory standards
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior team members on actuarial methodologies, IFRS 17, and financial reporting practices
- Manage workflow and resource allocation within the team to ensure timely delivery of key financial and regulatory reports
- Oversee actuarial reserving processes, including best estimate liability calculations, risk adjustment, and contractual service margin (CSM) computations under IFRS 17
- Ensure accurate and timely quarterly and annual reserving, financial statement disclosures, and regulatory submissions
- Review and enhance actuarial models used for financial reporting, ensuring they align with best practices and industry developments
- Collaborate with finance teams to align actuarial outputs with accounting and financial reporting standards
- Support assumption setting, experience analysis, and stress testing for financial planning and risk management
- Review actuarial risk assessments and provide insights to senior management on financial and strategic decision-making
- Oversee reinsurance analysis and its impact on IFRS 17 financial statements
- Provide actuarial insights into business planning, profitability analysis, and capital management strategies
- Provide support to ongoing projects related to the risk and control framework
Skills
- Fully qualified actuary (e.g., FIA, FSA, FCAS, or equivalent) or near-qualified with significant experience
- Experience with actuarial modelling software (e.g., Prophet, Moses, RAFM) and proficiency in Excel, VBA, SQL, Python, or R
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex actuarial concepts to non-actuaries
- Hands-on experience with IFRS 17 implementation, cash flow modelling, and risk adjustment methodologies
- Experience in financial reporting automation and improving actuarial processes
- Knowledge of reinsurance structures and their financial reporting impact
- Actuarial experience, K54with a strong background in financial reporting, reserving, and IFRS 17
- Proven experience in reviewing actuarial work and leading actuarial teams
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS 17, regulatory frameworks, and financial reporting frameworks

Duration of the role: 1 year renewable contract
Max salary to the candidate: 110K
Any specific skillset: Java, low latency trading, Inventory / Synthetic Trading knowledge
Principal responsibilities
- Build a scalable and highly available DeltaOne and Synthetic trading platform across Asia Pacific.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of this platform.
- Work closely with the front-office trading and product teams to ensure fast and accurate delivery of new functionality and improvements.
- Liaise with local compliance, NFR and other risk/control teams to ensure full compliance with the letter and spirit of all relevant regulatory guidelines and requirements.
- Maintain continuous communication with the wider global team: collaborative development, reviews and strategic decision making.
- Contribute and influence on the future state architecture.
Requirements
- Prior experience of working in an investment banking setting.
- Expert-level applied Java experience including the JVM, garbage collection, data structures and non-blocking IO.
- Passionate advocate for technology, technological solutions and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of DeltaOne and Synthetic trading including the order lifecycle, locate, inventory management, FIX messaging and Asian markets is a plus.
- Good understanding of the design and architecture of robust, scalable and highly available distributed trading platforms is a plus.
- Good understanding of risk, risk management and the role technology plays in this highly regulated environment is a plus.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and an excellent communicator.
- Appreciation of agile software delivery practices and knowledge of DevOps.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- Experienced in business development, partnership management, or a related role with the insurance industry with particular emphasis on bancassurance
- Good understanding of life and non-life insurance products, market dynamics and regulatory considerations
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, ability to influence and actively drive performance
- Strong knowledge about Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Principal Responsibilities
In this role you will
- Responsible to manage and implement changes for employee benefits operations
- Design and implement robust processes to meet operational performance standards and agreements
- Act as Data Owner of Policy Administration System (COMPASS)
- Co-ordinate IT development efforts to support business initiatives and projects (incl. product launch)
- Maintain robust production defect / operational issue management and loss reporting processes

- Excellent understanding of quality assurance, control, metrics and continuous improvement
- Strong analytical skills to understand to translate, simplify and prioritise the requirement as well as root cause analysis for remedial actions / preventive measures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required, including the ability to form effective relationships and achieve influence at the most senior level in the organisation
- Understand and interpret complex business and Hong Kong Insurance requirements (including regulatory requirements)
- Ability to work within an environment of different cultures.

Principal Responsibilities
In this role you will
- Responsible to manage and implement changes for employee benefits operations
- Design and implement robust processes to meet operational performance standards and agreements
- Act as Data Owner of Policy Administration System (COMPASS)
- Co-ordinate IT development efforts to support business initiatives and projects (incl. product launch)
- Maintain robust production defect / operational issue management and loss reporting processes
- Identify opportunities for service improvements and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Work closely with other HSBC departments to provide effective support to operations
- Support on EB operational incident management and participate in ad-hoc projects
To be successful you will need
- Previous working experience in life or medical insurance
- Knowledge on Employee benefits products (e.g. group medical) and back-office operations
- Proven and progressive experience preferably incorporating business operations management principles (including service quality, business control and continuous improvement activities etc.)
- Excellent understanding of quality assurance, control, metrics and continuous improvement
- Strong analytical skills to understand to translate, simplify and prioritise the requirement as well as root cause analysis for remedial actions / preventive measures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required, including the ability to form effective relationships and achieve influence at the most senior level in the organisation
- Understand and interpret complex business and Hong Kong Insurance requirements (including regulatory requirements)
- Ability to work within an environment of different cultures.

Principal Responsibilities
HSBC Alternatives is the alternative investment arm of HSBC Asset Management, investing globally in a wide spectrum of alternatives asset classes which include private market funds, hedge funds, real estate, infrastructure, private debts and venture capital, with AUM of $77 billion and :300 staff across 13 offices (inc. London, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore).
The Alternative Operations Team is responsible for the global investment operations function comprises transaction and fund services, portfolio operations, product/ portfolio controllership for all alternative investment products of HSBC Alternatives, they operate from centres of excellence in Bangalore and onshore teams in London, Paris, Dusseldorf, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
Part of the Alternatives Operations, the role will report to the Director of Operations, Alternatives and provide operational leadership for the design and implementation of operating model in support of products manufactured in Hong Kong, including Real Assets, Asia Credit, investment portfolios in APAC and Middle East and collaborate with Operations teams across all our geographical capabilities.
In this role you will
- Oversee on fund/mandate operations: advise on design and implementation of the target Operating Model - operational input into product change initiatives and new product development, setting up of operational infrastructure and service providers, including recommendations for optimal design for region
- Support transaction management & services: Investment-level financial and tax due diligence, transaction compliance & execution, transaction administration & compliance, reconciliation & execution, investment restrictions & control, ownership of onboarding of new deals across APAC and ensure key activities are executed per timeline
- Lead valuation & performance: NAV production oversight, valuation support for hard-to-value assets, performance calculation and analytics, carry interest & waterfalls, valuation reconciliation in line with Group policy
- Oversee fund finance & accounting treasury management including cash flows analysis (calls, distributions, forecasting), credit, hedging operations, fund accounting oversight, fee management (fees, expenses, invoicing, performance fees & carry interest), audit support, oversight, liquidity management, strategize working capital and closing cost policy with business partners as part of quarterly reporting
- Ensure tax compliance: ensure adherence to the tax structure, liaise with external advisors to ensure compliance of tax structuring for investments obtaining updated opinions where relevant, oversight of all tax filings ensuring compliance of the Fund, SPV and onshore entities
- Oversee reporting: be accountable for Portfolio reporting, MI & risk reporting, support Investor Relations team on client reporting support, fund board reporting and Tax reporting, oversee quarterly investor templates and investor letters, support ad-hoc/monthly/quarterly/annual reporting for senior management
- Lead risk and compliance: implementation of regulatory and tax change, AFIMD compliance, implementing financial crime compliance & control, support business continuity, executing Operational Risk Management Framework, design and maintenance of procedures and policies consistent with controls
- Team management: attract and retain talent. Provide training, mentoring and coaching to the staff members in a pragmatic and collaborative style
To be successful you will need
- Extensive experience in alternatives investments industry and products i.e. Private Markets, Private Debts or Real Assets., gained in investment operations (back and middle office functions), investment accounting and tax reporting, risk management, investment operations outsourcing providers
- Strong leadership skills with proven track record in a managerial role within Alternative capability with a preference for Real Assets
- Degree qualification, preferably in finance, commerce, economics. May have post-graduate qualifications eg. CFA, CPA, CAIA
- Exposure to APAC markets and regulations including cross borders taxations and capital structures as well as operational risk
- Experience in operations and in coordinating and executing change management processes, supporting transition of services to production in a controlled and governed way that minimises business risk and disruption
- Language skills: fluent English and Mandarin. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Principal Responsibilities
Role Purpose
The Manager Oversight Function (“MOF”) was established in 2019 to assist HSBC Trustee (Cayman) Limited (“HKIC”) to enhance its oversight of investment managers and third-party service providers to comply with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (“CIMA”) Statement of Guidance on Corporate Governance for Regulated Mutual funds. The MOF assists the Cayman Islands Trustee & Fiduciary Services (“TFS”) business in discharging its fiduciary and regulatory obligations.
In this role you will
- Ensuring that all clients are operating in accordance with the CIMA, SFC regulations and in accordance to the restrictions as detailed in the schemes documentation
- Ensure prompt escalation of issues of compliance or risk
- Ensuring workflow is effectively managed and conducted within set deadlines
- Act as a link between the team and Associate Director to ensure business is conducted appropriately, ensuring a high standard of client service is provided
- Act as one of the principal point of contact for trustee and fiduciary clients in relation to Regulatory developments, team/department projects or initiatives and client queries
- Ensure that all projects and sub-projects which contribute to the overall delivery of relevant programmes are co-ordinated and smoothly executed
To be successful you will need
- Appropriate Trustee or Funds experience, with some experience at manager level. Appropriate technical knowledge to deal with legal, accounting and technical issues arising in relation to servicing of funds
- A good appreciation of fund regulatory environment and regulatory developments
- Ability to analyse complex business issues and propose solutions
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent written and spoken Chinese and English is a plus. Experience and confidence in dealing with clients at a senior level
- High degree of computer literacy, excellent numeric and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong team working ability and capable of encouraging ideas and input from team members. Demonstrate management and coaching skills
- Clear understanding of importance of effective customer service internally and externally
- University degree or equivalent work experience

- Establish close business partnership with relationship managers from Commercial Banking, Global Banking Market and brokers to uplift the referral rate of Corporate Business
- Solicit new pension business effectively with Commercial Banking, Global Banking Market and brokers to achieve business target across all customer segments in the bank
- Manage the servicing need of Commercial Banking, Global Banking Market and brokers customers and identifying a variety of sales and servicing initiatives to enhance referral business from Commercial Banking, Global Banking Market and Brokers
- Collaborate with RTD teams to generate Retail Referrals & HSBC Life to Solicit Employee Benefit Business from our pension clients
- Act as the Mandatory Provident Fund specialist to manage expectation and to improve the satisfaction level of customer throughout the processing of sales and service
- Support the Pensions proposition and business strategy to effectively drive the business initiatives
- Act as a good player to support team and thinking positively to receive new job challenges for business development
- Plan, manage and allocate resources effectively to ensure sales and servicing standards of bank
To be successful you will need
- University or above
- Solid experience in business development and marketing, particularly in the MPF and insurance industry would be a definite advantage.
- Holder of Insurance, HKMA and MPFA license or Pass in HKSI exam Paper 1, 7 and 8 and MPF licensing exam
- Excellent customer-servicing manner, communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Personal Computer skills including Excel, Words and Database skill
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadline
