About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, financial reports, company audits, compliance, and bank relationships.

  • Having experience in independent overseas financing with a scale of 30 to 40 billion RMB
  • Having experience in effectively using financing of over 10 billion;
  • Serving as the top financial executive of an enterprise or business unit with a scale of over 10 billion, and managing a team of dozens of people;
  • Being able to speak foreign languages and holding a CPA certificate. Those who are Singaporean or Hong Kong residents will be given preferential consideration

Responsibilities

  • Create and present financial and tax strategy recommendations to CEO
  • Support the financial planning and analysis efforts
  • Fund-rising, investment and portfolio management
  • Oversee cash flow, cash management, working capital, and company audits
  • Prepare financial statements and reports
  • Ensure legal compliance on all financial functions
  • Manage relationships with banks

Requirements

We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer that is excited about the below Mission and Outcomes.

Mission: Lead Sleek's global finance function, providing strategic financial leadership to the Board, investors, and lenders. Ensure Sleek's financial preparedness for a potential IPO.

Outcomes:

Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

  • Develop and implement a robust strategic financial planning process that supports long-term growth and IPO readiness.
  • This includes enhancing forecasting methodologies, scenario planning, and capital expenditure analysis to inform both strategic operating decisions and Board-level decisions

Capital Allocation & Fundraising:

  • Optimize the company's capital structure and develop strategies for efficient capital allocation.
  • Successfully lead any required fundraising rounds, including pre-IPO financing, engaging effectively with potential investors and lenders

Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive financial risk management frameworks, including currency, interest rate, and operational risks.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all financial regulations, corporate governance standards, and internal controls in anticipation of public company requirements

Global Financial Operations & Scalability:

  • Further enhance and automate global financial systems to support international expansion and increased operational complexity, ensuring compliance across all jurisdictions

Tax Strategy & Optimization:

To do this, you will have:

  • At least 15 years experience in finance roles, with at least 5 years in a CFO or equivalent senior financial leadership position
  • Experience in a high growth SaaS or tech-enabled business
  • Extensive experience interacting with Boards, institutional investors, and lenders
  • Experience in preparing a company for an IPO or similar capital market transactions
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders
  • CPA or CFA or equivalent qualification

Key Responsibilities

  • Take charge of finance team as a leader and a contributor
  • Dealing with auditors, tax agents and other regulatory requirements
  • Managing banking relations
  • Responsible in building interface between big data/platform to accounting system to record trades, deposits, withdrawals, PL movements etc
  • Responsible in drafting SOP and policies to comply with SFC requirement
  • Being the main contact point for finance in regards to query and drafting solutions for internal review and approval
  • Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports
  • Provide strategic insights to senior management based on the financial data
  • Perform risk management by monitoring and analyzing the Company’s financial position and liquidity risks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency
  • Manage relations with vendors, banks and regulators
  • Undertake other duties as required

Major Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related field with accounting professional qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years working experience for full-suite company finance
  • Experience dealing with regulators
  • Comprehensive knowledge on SFC requirements
  • In-depth working knowledge or prior experience working in a cryptocurrency exchange or brokerage house
  • Understand Hong Kong's corporate, profits tax and audit requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Take charge of finance team as a leader and a contributor
  • Dealing with auditors, tax agents and other regulatory requirements
  • Managing banking relations
  • Responsible in building interface between big data/platform to accounting system to record trades, deposits, withdrawals, PL movements etc
  • Responsible in drafting SOP and policies to comply with SFC requirement
  • Being the main contact point for finance in regards to query and drafting solutions for internal review and approval
  • Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports
  • Provide strategic insights to senior management based on the financial data
  • Perform risk management by monitoring and analyzing the Company’s financial position and liquidity risks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency
  • Manage relations with vendors, banks and regulators
  • Undertake other duties as required

Major Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related field with accounting professional qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years working experience for full-suite company finance
  • Experience dealing with regulators
  • Comprehensive knowledge on SFC requirements
  • In-depth working knowledge or prior experience working in a cryptocurrency exchange or brokerage house
  • Understand Hong Kong's corporate, profits tax and audit requirements
  • High communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Oracle Netsuite
  • Big 4 working experience is preferred
  • Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese (spoken and written)
