Advanced Practice Nurse (NNU) - (NSD
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Principal Manager Nursing in planning of designated unit(s) to meet statutory requirement, international standards, hospital direction and department goals
- Promote clear understanding of the mission, vision and values of the hospital in relation to patient and staff
- Develop professional standards, operational guidelines, work processes and quality improvement programmes to ensure safe delivery of patient care and smooth operation of the unit(s)
- Lead and supervise a nursing and support service team within the unit(s) and act as resource and referral agent on clinical expertise
- Manage and respond to client needs proactively and conduct daily operation activities to enhance teamwork and safety culture within the unit (s)
- Plan and implement quality improvement initiatives and to monitor infection control practices in the unit(s)
- Monitor nursing appearance and professional conduct of staff of the assigned unit(s)
- Perform departmental budget and managing resources, including manpower, space, facilities and consumable items
- Maintain and promote continuous education and specialty development
- Monitor environment which promotes safety, security and optimal health for both clients and staff of the assigned unit(s)
- Shift duties required
- Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor(s)
Job Requirements
- Holder of a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Master's degree or above in Nursing, Leadership, Management, Healthcare Studies or related disciplines is preferred
- Holder of a valid Registered Nurse Practising Certificate issued by The Nursing Council of Hong Kong, post-registration specialty qualification is preferred
- Holder of valid certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Paediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) is preferred
- At least 8 years post-registration experience of which 5 years should be in specialty settings
- Experience in supervising a nursing team or commissioning of healthcare facilities is preferred
- Excellent people management and communication skills
- Demonstrable personal commitment in providing safe and quality patient care services
- Proficient in project management and quality improvement processes
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
- Proficient in MS Office applications

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Chief Care Coordinator (CCC) to oversee the operations of Elderly Health Service (EHS) at DHC Centres;
- Assists in the development and implementation of the clinical protocol and workflow, supports the training and development for all DHC staff;
- Monitor the EHS services and ensure the target deliverables of various programs committed at Kwai Tsing District Health Centre;
- Coordinate and supervise all health promotion activates and enhancement programs such as Self-Management Support Program (SMSP) and Patient Empowerment Program (PEP);
- To supervise and provide coaching to all care coordinators, registered nurses and program supervisors;
- Coordinate and work with different stakeholders and multidisciplinary term to deliver primary health care service.
Requirement:
- Part I or Part II Registration with the Nursing Council of Hong Kong with valid practicing certificate
- Possess the Certificate of Post-Registration Certification Course in Gerontological Nursing or is a fellow member of The Hong Kong College of Gerontology Nursing or equivalent is preferable
- At least 5 aggregate years of experience in nursing practice as a registered nurse, of which at least 3 aggregate years in supervising the operation of a clinic or similar type of facility in non- public sector or other similar settings
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
45 working hours per week, 5 days' work, shift duties are required, may need to work in the evening, Saturdays, Sunday & Public Holidays subject to operation needs.
