**What you will be working on:**
+ Generate and execute valuation assignments, carrying out project feasibility studies and other consulting work for both private and public sector
+ Strong attention to the due diligence process to ensure the accurate delivery advice, calculations and information to our clients
+ Be the key contact point for all enquiries from client's end - that include the valuation methodology, veracity of comparables and the rationale behind conclusion or opinions
+ Nurture strong existing client relationships and cultivate repeat business, develop a continual awareness of clients' needs on valuation services and identify potential business opportunity for CBRE
+ For managerial role, to lead and manage a team of managers, valuers and researchers in conducting the respective valuation task. **You are someone with:**
+ Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university
+ Strong communication skills, fluent in both spoken and written English and Cantonese. Ability to speak Mandarin would be a plus
+ An analytical mindset and possess strong ability to articulate research findings and opinions in valuation and professional reports
+ For managerial role - At least 5 years of work experience working within the valuation space

Service Line Overview

KPMG Transaction Services advises a wide range of clients on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions. Our Financial Services team focuses on transactions involving target companies in the financial services industry, from fintech to insurance companies, banks to asset managers and securities brokers to crypto-currency exchanges in the Asia Pacific region. We are an international team with diverse backgrounds reflecting Hong Kong’s role as an International Financial Centre.

KPMG Transaction Services provides various types of buy-side and sell-side deal advisory support throughout the deal cycle:

  • Pre-deal buy-side due diligence
  • Sell-side assistance including vendor due diligence and vendor assistance
  • Cross-border transaction assistance

  • Sales and Purchase Agreement support


We help our clients identify opportunities and risk in their transactions (including acquisitions, disposals, joint venture and buy-outs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of transaction advisory professionals and other advisory functions to execute due diligence and other transaction related advisory projects
  • Carry out financial analysis on investment target to highlight deal related issues and suggest solutions
  • Produce quality tailor made deliverables to suit the needs of clients
  • Develop analysis to assist the clients in deal structuring and negotiations
  • Participate in business development and public activities which are beneficial to the growth and development of the practice, including client and industry research and preparing materials to support our pitches and proposals to clients


Giving clear directions as well as positive and constructive feedback. Experienced assistant managers will coach less experienced staff and actively assist in the development of others. They will also be expected to prepare and present training sessions for new joiners and less experienced members of the team.

Experience & Background

  • Strong interest in M&A and financial services industry
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting / audit or finance with a major CPA or financial services firms. Candidate with big four financial services audit or transaction services background is preferred
  • Transaction experience in executing due diligence or any other M&A advisory services would be advantageous
  • A degree holder and a professional accounting qualification or finance qualification
  • Strong analytical, financial and commercial skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Good written and verbal presentation and communication skills
  • A team player with high levels of enthusiasm and self-driven mentality
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin. Written Chinese is preferred
  • Ability to perform consistently at a high level under pressure

We are looking to recruit an experienced non-contentious regulatory lawyer to join us as Senior Counsel. This is an excellent opportunity to join the statutory body which regulates and promotes the development of the securities and futures markets in Hong Kong.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Advise on a wide range of legal issues that affect the Commission as a statutory body and the exercise of its statutory functions.
  • Interpret and advise on relevant securities, companies, AML and other legislation and administrative law, and the codes and guidelines issued by the Commission.
  • Advise operating divisions of the Commission on the legal aspects of policy initiatives and handle specific projects.
  • Advise on the preparation of primary and subsidiary legislation administered by the Commission.
  • Advise on contractual arrangements, memoranda of understanding and other cooperative arrangements to which the Commission is a party.
  • Supervise a team of more junior lawyers conducting advisory work, including active participation in management meetings and assisting with the management of the Legal Services Division.

Requirements:

  • More than 10 years’ post qualification experience in Hong Kong as a solicitor, with substantial and relevant experience handling financial services regulatory work.
  • Good academic record.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to handle complex matters independently and give practical, well-reasoned and researched written legal advice including when operating within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Experience of supervising more junior lawyers.
  • Knowledge of the operation of the local securities and futures industry and markets an advantage.
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for the post of Counsel.

Purpose Of The Role

The holder will assist the Team Lead of Treasury Financial Advisory in treasury advisory services in the OCBC Hong Kong Region, partnering with the Global Market division to promote business growth.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Advise on P&L and accounting impacts of treasury initiatives, e.g., hedge accounting.
  • Provide reports to track performance and promote cross-selling, e.g., CISFA, VPAD.
  • Support and advise on treasury system implementation/enhancement issues.
  • Ensure proper fund transfer pricing mechanisms are in place, compliant with ALCO-approved frameworks.
  • Support MIS matters like Tagetik, treasury reporting, etc.
  • Assist in operating plan exercises.
  • Ensure timely submission of treasury regulatory returns.
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or related fields.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional qualifications like HKICPA, ACCA, CFA, FRM are advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Purpose Of The Role

The holder will assist the Team Lead of Treasury Financial Advisory in treasury advisory services in the OCBC Hong Kong Region, partnering with the Global Market division to promote business growth.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Advise on P&L and accounting impacts of treasury initiatives, e.g., hedge accounting.
  • Provide reports to track performance and promote cross-selling, e.g., CISFA, VPAD.
  • Support and advise on treasury system implementation/enhancement issues.
  • Ensure proper fund transfer pricing mechanisms are in place, compliant with ALCO-approved frameworks.
  • Support MIS matters like Tagetik, treasury reporting, etc.
  • Assist in operating plan exercises.
  • Ensure timely submission of treasury regulatory returns.
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or related fields.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional qualifications like HKICPA, ACCA, CFA, FRM are advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

KPMG is building out its leading Financial Services Advisory Practice and is looking for a passionate and seasoned Senior Consultant with experience working on wholesale banking (corporate banking, capital markets, transaction banking) projects. We work with top tier corporate banks and their coverage, transaction banking, investment banking and capital markets divisions on industry defining topics from ‘Strategy-to-Results’, including strategy, operations, regulatory, and technology. It is an exciting time to join us as our practice is expanding due to our unique propositions and strength of client relationships.

We are seeking exceptional individuals who have a passion for identifying and creating solutions for clients. We are looking for strong candidates from consulting and wholesale banking backgrounds. As a team, we are a group of bright individuals who are passionate about having fun both inside and outside of work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and run project workstreams with limited oversight, supporting banks in transformation projects, including project management, process review and design including implementation
  • Support development of client presentations, including material development and vetting, under the direction of senior team members
  • Generate hypotheses and drive the storyboarding process
  • Produce client ready deliverables that require limited review
  • Review of data and analytics, including basic financial modelling, to support implementation projects
  • Develop solutions to complex problems and challenge the thinking of more senior colleagues and clients
  • Liaise effectively with clients whilst working on engagements and act as an ‘ambassador’ for KPMG
  • Develop rapport and working relationships with junior clients and maintain them outside of engagements
  • Be a strong and effective team player


Experience & Background

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in any of the below:
  • Big 4 experience with a focus on banking
  • Internal Project / Consulting team within a wholesale bank
  • Product Management role within the commercial lending, transaction banking (Cash, Trade Finance, FX, Supply Chain Finance), capital markets and/or investment banking division of a bank
  • Credit risk experience, focused on commercial / corporate exposures, included syndicated loans
  • Corporate strategy / Corporate development / M&A team of a wholesale bank
  • Tier 1 & 2 strategy houses with deep experience in wholesale banking projects
  • Degree from a leading institution
  • Strong slide structuring and writing capabilities
  • Evidence of project management/workstream leadership
  • Knowledge of wholesale banking operations and/or regulatory compliance
  • Research skills, including market research and regulatory review
  • Project management experience in digital transformation / operational / regulatory / TOM-like projects
  • Project management certification and knowledge of Agile delivery will be an advantage
  • Analytical mindset, intellectual curiosity, structured thinking, and creativity
  • Confidence, people skills, ambition and pragmatism
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese

Strategy & Operations practice is the tip of the sphere in orchestrating C-suite conversations. We bring structured analysis, combining that with rigorous external market perspective to engage and challenge our clients. Internally within KPMG, S&O is the practice that serve as the “glue”, which connects the breadth of practical, implementable assets / solutions that KPMG have developed, and bring it to our clients for their benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manager leads engagement team and be responsible for successful outcomes, including but not limited to:
  • Oversee issue-based/ hypotheses driven problem solving process
  • Manage team to conduct data/fact-based analysis (e.g. financial analysis of client, competitor, and industry data) to support problem solving and insights generation
  • Drive storyboarding process
  • Conduct financial modelling and business case creation
  • Carry out impact assessment and develop recommendations on business models & target operating models
  • Produce client ready deliverables that require limited review
  • Manager supports our Partner group in project delivery through accurate and high-quality case execution
  • Manager plays a critical role in managing and developing the capabilities of junior consulting staff
  • Manager supports business development activities, including thought leadership, and proposal development
  • Manager owns and develops client relationships, presenting to a wide range of audiences, and working day-to-day with clients and other stakeholders
  • Manager develops rapport and working relationships with clients and maintain them outside of engagements


Experience & Background

  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in any of the below:
  • Consulting experience with leading strategy houses
  • Big 4 experience with a focus on financial services strategy & operations consulting
  • Internal Consulting team within a bank, insurer, or wealth/asset management firm
  • Degree from a leading institution
  • Strong slide structuring and writing capabilities
  • Evidence of project management/workstream leadership
  • Research skills, including market & competitor analysis
  • Project experience in operating model-like projects
  • Analytical mindset, intellectual curiosity, structured thinking, and creativity
  • Strong and effective team player
  • Confidence, people skills, and pragmatism
  • Fluency in English is a must; Mandarin is a strong plus and Cantonese is a bonus.
