The Opportunity

Arup Programme and Project Management is inviting high caliber talent to support our business expansion for the increasing market coverage. The candidate will be working on high profile projects in Hong Kong.


  • Project management role of exciting projects in Hong Kong

Responsibilities


  • Report to the project leader
  • Implement effective project management for whole project cycle
  • Maintain day-to day communication with client, consultants, contractors for successful project outcomes
  • Manage project risks, value, change, cost to deliver the project
  • Implement digital and innovation tools to enhance project management process
  • Drive for sustainability goals


Is this role right for you?

Qualifications & Experience Required


  • Degree in building environment related disciplines such as Architecture, Civil, Structural, Building Services, Electrical, Mechanical, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Project Management or other construction related degree
  • Minimum 6 years of experience for the position of Project Manager
  • Membership of relevant professional institution(s) will be advantageous
  • Conversant with Hong Kong building regulations and ordinances
  • Hands-on experience with BIM and programme planning tools (eg. P6) will be advantageous
  • Creative, self-motivated with good interpersonal and influencing communication skills
  • Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels

In this role, you are entrusted to:

  • Participate in valuation and land consultancy projects and to prepare necessary reports with absolute high accuracy
  • Perform and deliver quality due diligence work for property details
  • Study and understand relevant policies as may be required for resumption and litigation cases in Hong Kong or other jurisdictions
  • Be diligent in conducting site visits, either in Hong Kong or other countries, and to collect data for preparation of valuation and advisory reports
  • Conduct financial feasibility analysis and valuation reports
  • Handle land matters, including lands applications, building plan approval under lease, land exchange, modification, appeals on premium / waiver fee and / or compensation claim
  • Maintain close client relationships

Successful candidate would be:

  • University (or equivalent) degree in Real Estate/Surveying/Property Management or Finance related disciplines
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in valuation of Hong Kong.
  • Valuation related experience from a Commercial Real Estate business or Lands Department is an asset
  • RICS/ HKIS qualification is highly regards but not a must
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (particularly in Excel)
  • Out-of-box thinking and analytical skillset
  • A good team player, self-disciplined, accountable character
  • Detail-minded, able to work independently and under tight schedules
  • Good command of both written and verbal English, Cantonese or Mandarin. Proficiency in any Asian language is a plus

What You Will Be Working On
  • Generate and execute valuation assignments, carrying out project feasibility studies and other consulting work for both private and public sector
  • Strong attention to the due diligence process to ensure the accurate delivery advice, calculations and information to our clients
  • Be the key contact point for all enquiries from client’s end – that include the valuation methodology, veracity of comparables and the rationale behind conclusion or opinions
  • Nurture strong existing client relationships and cultivate repeat business, develop a continual awareness of clients’ needs on valuation services and identify potential business opportunity for CBRE
  • For managerial role, to lead and manage a team of managers, valuers and researchers in conducting the respective valuation task. Provide guidance and coaching support to enable the successful carry out of job responsibilities that includes execution of projects, new idea pitching and trouble shooting
  • Any other assignments as directed by senior management team
You Are Someone With
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university
  • Strong communication skills, fluent in both spoken and written English and Cantonese. Ability to speak Mandarin would be a plus
  • An analytical mindset and possess strong ability to articulate research findings and opinions in valuation and professional reports
  • For managerial role - At least 5 years of work experience working within the valuation space
  • For managerial role - Experience in a people manager capacity, an ability to provide guidance to junior members on the team and able to rally the team in delivering results

  • Arup Programme and Project Management is inviting high calibre talent to support our business expansion for the increasing market coverage. The candidate will be working on high profile projects in the regions.
  • Project leader role of major development in Hong Kong.
  • Excellent client interfacing, leadership and problem solving skills
  • Relevant experience in large scale new development projects will be advantageous
  • Responsibilities:
  • Report to the Director and lead the project teams in Hong Kong
  • Manage the complete project cycle to ensure project execution within budget and time constraints. Perform leadership on project management and management of project delivery to meet client’s needs
  • Maintain influential relationship with clients, project stakeholders, and end-users
  • Support business development and project team development

Qualifications & Experience Required


  • Degree in Architecture, Civil, Structural, Building Services, Electrical, Mechanical, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Project Management disciplines
  • Membership of relevant professional institution(s)
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years at a major role of project management team. Candidate with less experience will be considered for position of Senior Project Manager
  • Familiar with project management processes, systems and tools
  • Creative, self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and influencing communication skills
  • Strong organisational, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels
