The Role
We’re building the next generation of AI-powered travel experiences, and conversational UX is central to that vision. You’ll lead the UX strategy for AI-powered interactions like smart chat, trip planning, support automation, and contextual travel recommendations. You’ll mentor designers, collaborate closely with product and engineering, and help evolve our design culture across the organisation.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the end-to-end design of AI and chat-based experiences across web and app
- Translate complex AI capabilities into clear, helpful user flows and intuitive interfaces
- Create prototypes and flows that balance clarity, trust, and speed for our users
- Drive UX and visual design quality within your scope, while aligning with Agoda’s broader vision
- Partner with Design Leadership, Product managers, Engineers, Researchers, Analysts and Content designers to shape what we build and how we build it
- Use data-driven insights, research, and industry best practices to align on design direction
Leadership & People
- Manage and mentor a small team of 2–3 designers, focusing on growth and creativity
- Provide regular feedback, run critiques, and support career development
- Help scale design culture, systems, and quality through org-wide design initiatives
- Act as a thought partner to senior stakeholders across Product, Data Science, and Engineering
What You’ll Bring
- 7+ years of experience in product or interaction design, with proven hands-on craft
- Experience designing for conversational interfaces, chatbots, or AI-powered systems
- A strong portfolio showing user-centered thinking and high-quality execution
- Ability to simplify complexity through clear information architecture and interaction flows
- Experience leading design discussions and collaborating cross-functionally
- Mentorship or light people management experience is a plus

- Research and develop state-of-the-art AI/ML models to serve millions of users.
- Push the boundaries of document analysis and recognition technologies, such as Handwriting Recognition, Handwriting Synthesis, Stroke Classification and Document Layout Analysis.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including engineers, QA, and product designers, in a fast-paced environment to deliver features rapidly.
The skills you will need to be successful in the above:
- Strong foundation in Deep Learning and sequence modelling, with experience applying them to real-world problems.
- Deep knowledge in Handwriting Recognition, Handwriting Synthesis, Document Layout Analysis and/or related areas.
- Research track record via publications and/or open-source contributions in Document AI or relevant fields.
- Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals with a robust background in software engineering.
- Proficiency in Python and at least one Machine Learning framework such as PyTorch, TensorFlow and JAX.
- Working knowledge of C++, Rust or Swift is a plus.
- Knowledge of model optimization for on-device deployment.
- Excellent communication skills in English.

This role supports a recently launched venture capital fund focusing on early-stage investments in high-growth sectors such as technology and advanced manufacturing. With a strong presence in Greater China, the fund leverages regional insights and institutional partnerships to identify transformative startups, spanning biotech, semiconductors, and digital platforms. The team combines private equity experience with local market expertise to support portfolio companies beyond capital. Backed by a well-established investment group, the fund aims to accelerate innovation and foster long-term value creation across HK, China, and Asia.
Job Description- Lead and execute fundraising strategies to attract institutional, governmental, and strategic investors.
- Cultivate relationships with HK government agencies, universities, research institutions, and family offices.
- Represent the fund at industry events, conferences, and investor meetings.
- Collaborate with the investment team to align fundraising efforts with fund strategy and portfolio performance.
- Develop investor materials, including pitch decks, fund updates, and due diligence documents.
- Monitor fundraising KPIs and report regularly to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Stay informed on market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies in HK and the Greater Bay Area.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or institutional fundraising.
- Proven track record of raising capital from government-linked entities, academic institutions, and strategic investors in HK.
- Strong network within HK's innovation and technology ecosystem.
- Deep understanding of advanced technologies such as AI, semiconductors, electric vehicles, biotech, fintech, or robotics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin; Cantonese is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, results-driven approach.
- Strong cultural awareness and ability to navigate public-private partnerships.
- Experience with HK's Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC), Cyberport, HKSTP, or similar institutions.
