The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the statutory organisation promoting Hong Kong’s external trade, seeks a dynamic, high-calibre and experienced professional to join our Service Promotion Department.
Responsibilities:
- To plan and formulate promotional strategies on healthcare and bio-medical sectors in accordance with the Council’s annual plan and business plan of Service Promotion Department.
- To lead a team and implement comprehensive promotional programme and projects through close co-ordination with internal departments, overseas and mainland offices, and external partners and vendors.
- To build relationships with key industry players and multipliers particularly in healthcare and bio-medical sectors through proactive engagement.
- To oversee the financial and budgetary planning of the assigned projects.
- To manage and provide secretariat support to a steering committee.
- To effectively lead a team and provide proper guidance to team members for implementing service promotional programme.
- To supervise day-to-day operations, including management reporting, finance, administrative and HR-related matters.
- University graduate with a minimum of 12 years’ solid managerial experience, preferably with sizable organisations, in any of the following areas: sales and marketing; exhibition/event organisation or public/corporate relations etc.
- Strong inclination and understanding of Hong Kong economy, trade and business arena covering various industries, and markets and business opportunities for Hong Kong.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua; knowledge of a third language an advantage.
- Mature with superior skills in sales, marketing and communication.
- A strong team player with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and outgoing with good project planning ability.
- Innovative, flexible and be able to deliver under time and resource pressure.
The successful candidate will be offered a two-year contract with prospects for renewal upon expiry. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus an appropriate contract-end gratuity. Medical benefits and annual leave will be offered.

Strategic Leadership
- Manage the medical network, address any servicing issues and implement administrative and procedural changes with our providers, along with H&W solutions for our corporate
- Develop and enhance medical providers relationship, oversees medical provider onboarding and their end-to-end services, including cost control, contracting, fee schedule and panel doctor list maintenance, regular due diligence and re-credentialing exercises, provider quality control and 3rd party provider procurement management
- Negotiating agreed fees for renewal and the utilization of specialized medications to control costs
- Investigation and handling of complaints, disputes and disciplinary action of providers
- Communicating with providers, including providing feedback on member experiences, updates on clinical best practices, and results of quality assurance reviews
- Enhancing provider satisfaction and performance
- Provide health and wellness solution to EB corporate clients, e.g., Health check plans, onsite vaccination, wellness day events management, etc
- Collaborate with claim departments, product development, EB sales, distribution, operations, risk and control and other stakeholders to integrate and deliver solutions
To be successful you will need
- University graduate
- Previous experience in medical network development for the insurance industry
- Experience working in clinics and claims services is highly desired
- Experience in health insurance and regulatory landscape
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent project management skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
