Job Description
As a Quality Control Inspector, you'll be reporting to an Operations Manager and working as a part of our Operations team. At QIMA, the role of Operations is to deliver our industry-leading services to our clients while ensuring that all the work is performed to the QIMA standard of quality. Your role in this will be to:

  • Check email daily in order to receive inspection documents and guidelines;
  • Attend inspections on time and communicate with suppliers in a professional way;
  • Perform the inspection of the merchandise according to company procedures. Supervise the stuffing of the containers according to company procedures;
  • Fulfill inspection reports according to company procedures and timelines.

Qualifications

The Quality Control (International) team (“QC”) of the Investment Banking Department reports to the Global Head of Quality Control and the Head of Investment Banking Department (International). QC provides technical support and assist in effectively monitoring and controlling business risks of the Investment Banking Department. You will be responsible for improving the execution quality of Hong Kong and overseas investment banking business by conducting independent review of various transaction documents and due diligence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above.
  • At least 5 years’ relevant working experience in global investment banks, law firms or big four audit firms with knowledge of various financial products and regulations of the capital markets and securities companies in Hong Kong and overseas.
  • Experience in overseas capital markets is a plus.
  • Good communication and coordination skills, with excellent team spirit, conscientious and meticulous, strong sense of responsibility and stress tolerance.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin, using English and Mandarin as working language.

Service Line Overview

KPMG Managed Services brings together the firm’s subject matter expertise, proprietary technology and tools and deep operations capability to provide an innovative and cost effective solution for clients seeking to outsource either a one-off remediation or an ongoing BAU process. We operate across multiple industries, geographies and processes and have particular experience in complaint handling, claims processing and client due diligence.

Providing quality checking to all the telephony logging analysts and data input/KYC analysts to ascertain whether the process and policy has correctly been applied throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake quality control of telephony logging analysts and data input/KYC analysts throughout the whole process and monitoring calls.
  • Feedback QC results to all teams
  • Monitoring quality control and quality assurance results on a regular basis
  • Identify individuals falling below the required benchmarks.
  • Conducting Root Cause Analysis and effectively communicate the outcomes and monitor future improvements and performance.
  • Conducting ad hoc and pre planned coaching support to embed development.
  • Assisting team leaders in the construction and execution of quality related informal and formal development plans.
  • Maintaining awareness of the regulatory landscape and use this awareness to flag issues of importance to the department.
  • Reviewing and constructively challenging the department’s internal processes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure team compliance to operational procedures.
  • Ensure all legislative regulatory requirements are adhered to through compliance with the complaints handling policy, training, competency scheme and business standards.


Experience & Background

  • An understanding of AML/ KYC rules and compliance requirements, with a minimum of two years’ experience working in a HKMA/SFC regulated environment or similar.
  • Ability to interpret MI and undertake root cause analysis.
  • Ability to make considered decisions using point of sale documentation, and call records.
  • Ability to provide feedback in a concise, accurate, constructive and timely manner.
  • Ability to work successfully in a target driven environment.
  • Proven experience of working in a role where attention to detail was critical.
  • Experience of working in an operational environment

  • Experience of working in a financial environment

  • Maintaining awareness of the regulatory landscape and use this awareness to flag issues of importance to the department.

Experience & Background
  • An understanding of AML/ KYC rules and compliance requirements, with a minimum of two years’ experience working in a HKMA/SFC regulated environment or similar.
  • Ability to interpret MI and undertake root cause analysis.
  • Ability to make considered decisions using point of sale documentation, and call records.
  • Ability to provide feedback in a concise, accurate, constructive and timely manner.
  • Ability to work successfully in a target driven environment.
  • Proven experience of working in a role where attention to detail was critical.
  • Experience of working in an operational environment

Job Description

  • Identify crypto-friendly jurisdictions and lead the licensing and registration processes for the APEC region and beyond.
  • Engage with regulators in key jurisdictions such as Dubai, and Europe (e.g., FCA, BaFin, VARA), demonstrating experience interacting with these bodies.
  • Stay informed about the rapidly changing global crypto regulations, assessing and analyzing their impact for senior management.
  • Develop and communicate licensing and registration strategies, clearly outlining implications for the business and leadership.
  • Serve as the primary project manager, coordinating with external consultants and legal advisers throughout the licensing process.
  • Draft, review, and update Compliance Manuals to align with regulatory requirements and licensing activities.
  • Manage regulatory submissions and respond to inquiries from authorities.
  • Conduct ongoing compliance checks and monitoring to ensure adherence to relevant regulations.
  • Design workflows and processes to support operational compliance.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Banking, Business, or Law.
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in regulatory compliance and licensing roles within financial institutions, particularly in crypto, banking, tech, startups, e-commerce, or payments.
  • Strong connections with legal consulting firms across different jurisdictions for crypto licensing applications.
  • Proven success in obtaining crypto licenses in various regions.
  • Ability to draft policies related to license applications when required.
  • Excellent project management capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Good command of Chinese and Mandarin, written and spoken.
  • A proactive self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, comfortable in a fast-paced, high-energy tech startup environment.

To support the Director, Advisory & Regulatory Compliance in discharging his duties and ensure compliance with relevant law, regulations and Group policies. Providing advice on products and marketing campaign/promotions, liaison for product and marketing materials’ approval by Compliance, as well as providing advisory support for Product and Marketing teams. The role will also provide support on projects and new business initiatives as well as regulatory change implementation, as well as administrative support to the Compliance Advisory team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent product compliance review throughout the product development cycle as well as post-sales monitoring, including but not limited to ensure the product design meets all applicable regulatory requirements and “Treat Customer Fairly” principle, review the relevant sales and marketing materials as well as the training materials; (iii) product promotion campaign; (iv) marketing campaign, etc.
  • Provide advice on product and marketing initiatives
  • Provide support on projects and new business initiatives and coordination for regulatory change implementation as and when required
  • Provide administrative support in the maintenance of Regulatory Matrix and the Regulatory Compliance System


Job Requirements

  • Degree holder in related disciplines
  • Have over 8 years working experience with at least 5 years in product compliance area in life insurance industry
  • Excellent knowledge of (i) laws and regulatory requirements applicable to Life insurance products, and (ii) Life insurance operations (including life administration and agency administration), e.g. underwriting, policy administration, claims, and sales channels (covering agency, bancassurance and broker channels)
  • Demonstrate ability on adoption of agile way of working, flexible to change, and ability to make independent, sound and informed decisions
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese (written and spoken)
