FACULTY OF ARTS
LANGUAGE CENTRE
Teaching Assistant (English Section) (PR0055/23-24)
The appointee is expected to assist the English Section in: (i) developing supplementary teaching and learning materials; (ii) providing support to new and existing English language enhancement activities; (iii) performing data analysis for the Centre's various activities; and (iv) performing other duties as assigned by the Head of the English Section and the Head of the Language Centre.

Applicants should possess a bachelor's degree in Applied Linguistics/Linguistics, English, TESOL or Language Studies and a master's degree in a related discipline with a native/native-like proficiency in English. Applicants with other bachelor's degrees (e.g., Data Science and Statistics) and those with data management knowledge (e.g., t-tests, ANOVAs, and NVivo) will also be considered. Please specify your skills in a cover letter and a CV.

The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one to two years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary range: HK$22,000 – HK$35,000
