We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Architecture team. The ideal candidate should have extensive experiences in Laravel development and is able to manage multiple tasks among teams of engineers in developing and maintaining digital applications and products.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-regional and -functional teams to develop and maintain high quality, multi-platform digital products, such as Web/Mobile/TV applications.
• Conduct technical feasibility and root cause analysis and provide solutions to resolve technical and business requirement problems on both BAU and project bases.
• Work with the team and write clean, efficient, and well-documented codes for new and existing digital applications.
• Optimise digital applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Develop and maintain APIs and integrations with internal micro services and systems developed in different regions.
• Troubleshoot and debug all assigned technical issues on agreed schedules.
• Document and update technical specification documents in a standard and professional manner.

Skillset Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of backend development experiences and possession of multi-platform development experiences (e.g. Web, Mobile & TV App) is highly desirable.
• Strong technical hands-on skills and/or knowledge of PHP, PostgreSQL, Redis, Laravel framework.
• Familiarity Node.js and TypeScript is a plus.
• Good understanding of application architecture, such as AWS/GCP Cloud Services, DevOps, CI/CD for software development and deployment.

Responsibilities

- Develop, test, and deploy AI-driven software solutions for real-world applications with a focus on computer vision and anomaly detection.

- Design and implement reliable software solutions for real-time video processing and monitoring systems.

- Develop algorithms to detect and address image quality issues and other visual anomalies.

- Optimize system performance to ensure scalability and robustness across diverse environments.

- Conduct software testing, debugging, and validation to maintain high-quality deliverables.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of AI systems with existing infrastructures.

- Document technical processes and provide support for deployed systems.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

- Hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline from a Top 100 university for STEM-related subjects, as published in recognized global university rankings.

- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Python, with the ability to write clean, efficient code (experience with other programming languages such as C++ or Java is a plus).

- Have foundational knowledge or experience in:

- Computer vision techniques and applications (e.g., object detection, anomaly detection).

- Real-time video processing and optimizing performance for monitoring systems.

- AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.

- Be capable of independently developing software solutions, from requirement analysis to deployment.

- Possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Be familiar with software testing, debugging, and performance optimization.

- Have a good command of written and spoken English (knowledge of Cantonese is a plus).
