About SIGHT:
The Student Innovation for Global Health Technology (SIGHT) program at HKUST is an interdisciplinary undergraduate education platform that empowers students to transform their passion and creativity into innovative solutions for global health challenges. Through a unique blend of coursework, team-based projects and immersive overseas study trips, SIGHT offers students a transformative learning experience that crosses the boundaries of discipline, geography, and culture. Our projects focus on underserved communities and aim to create tangible social impact.

SIGHT is now inviting applications for a full-time Instructional Assistant to support the development and delivery of our global health innovation initiatives. This is a dynamic role ideal for individuals passionate about education, global health, and student engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor student teams on global health innovation projects.
- Manage new health and well-being related initiatives to foster a culture of innovation at HKUST.
- Develop engaging digital content (articles, videos, e-resources) to promote teaching innovation.
- Design and manage promotional materials and campaigns, including content for websites and social media (Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
- Organize and support student-focused activities and events.
- Handle administrative and logistical tasks related to SIGHT projects and outreach.
- Coordinate with university departments and offices for program-related support.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Strong interest in global health technology and social impact.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in mentoring or working with students.
- Creative mindset with an eye for design and storytelling.
- Experience in social media management and content creation.
- Prior experience in global health or related projects is highly valued.
- Ability to lead brainstorming sessions and facilitate collaborative discussions.
- Organized, energetic, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
(Duration: 1 year)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
