Our Group Company - RATP Dev has experienced strong growth in APAC over the past years, and we are looking for a fit talent to cope with the business growth.
Within RATP Dev APAC team, the Business Analyst will work on international bids in often complex contractual environments (PPP, partnerships, etc.) to ensure the robustness and quality of the financial offer. They will also be involved in cross-functional projects for continuous improvement of bid responses (tools, methods, AI, etc.).
Work Location:
- Position based in Hong Kong (HK Tramways); occasional travel in the area (Philippines, Singapore).
Responsibilities:
- Constructing the financial model: coordinating various contributors (Technical, Marketing, IT/Digital, HR, Finance streams), aligning and challenging the model's input assumptions, analyzing results, and producing financial summaries and deliverables.

Scope
The Corporate Finance China team is looking to add a Financial Analyst in Hong Kong.

Analysts work on transactions that provide exposure to various investment banking services, including cross-border M&A, going-private transactions of US-listed Asian companies, and private capital raises across the capital spectrum.
Responsibilities
As a Financial Analyst, you will:
- Prepare, analyze and help explain historical and projected financial information
- Create financial models
- Coordinate and perform business and financial due diligence
- Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches and other presentations
- Conduct research on sectors, companies and potential buyers
- Value companies and businesses
- Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients and prospective clients and professional advisors
- Assist in planning of engagements
Requirements / Qualifications
If you have the following qualifications & experience, we’d love to hear from you:
- An excellent academic track record from a highly regarded university
- A demonstrated genuine interest in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and/or in working on complex and cross-border M&A transactions
- Prior internship / full-time experience in M&A advisory and/or related fields
- Demonstrable experience in executing sell-side transactions
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
- Strong analytical abilities and knowledge of accounting and applied financial theory
- An excellent understanding of financial valuation theory, methodologies, and applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin required
- Skilled in MS Office suite and financial databases (e.g. Capital IQ, Mergermarket)
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with team members
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and hit deadlines in a highly organized manner
- An independent, solutions-focused mind-set

Respond to audit queries in regard to reported notes the in a timely and accurate manner
Accounting Policy Maintenance -
- Keep updated with finance policies from CITIC Group and Ministry of Finance
- Assist to complete finance policy development as required by supervisor in expected time frame and quality
Balance Sheet Substantiation -
- Timely deliver the balance sheet substantiation requirement to corresponding finance team, follow up outstanding matters
- Assist finance team to tackle related question. Report to management on key finding as per project timeline
Support finance team ad-hoc project and reporting as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting field
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, preferably within the Financial Services industry
- Good command of both written and spoken Mandarin and English
- Understanding of investment banks' business, specifically the understanding of Chinese investment banks is preferred
- Good knowledge of IFRS
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g. Pivot table/Macro)
- Knowledge of accounting system, SAP is preferred
- Audit experience/background is preferred but not essential;
- Quick learner and team player
- Proactive and independent.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Champion HKBU Finance excellence strategy and implementation plan aligned with Takeda China business strategy
- Provide strategic financial decision support, insights and recommendations to HKBU LT on critical business cases to seize new business opportunities (e.g. Great Bay Area)
- Lead annual financial planning cycle (MRP, MYC, LBE, LRF) to drive HKBU revenue and profit growth objective

+ Champion HKBU Finance excellence strategy and implementation plan aligned with Takeda China business strategy
+ Provide strategic financial decision support, insights and recommendations to HKBU LT on critical business cases to seize new business opportunities (e.g. Great Bay Area)
+ Lead annual financial planning cycle (MRP, MYC, LBE, LRF) to drive HKBU revenue and profit growth objective
+ Review profit and risk reports on a regular basis and release financial early warning information to management in a timely manner with mitigation plans
+ Lead and coordinate HKBU monthly DSOP process, work with distributors on billing, shipment, pricing, FOC, goods return, cash collection and inventory management
