Job Summary:

The IT Group Risk Management Systems (GRMS) department is responsible for implementing and supporting systems for the Group Risk Management division. We are seeking an experienced IT professional with expertise in technical project management.

Job Duties:

Being part of Group Risk Management Systems team, you will lead the onboarding of a SaaS system solution to HKEX, ensuring that it aligns to the firm’s IT standards and best practices, as well as compliance to security and operational guidelines so as to provide maintenance of the system going forward.

Also you will manage and drive the migration of a containerized application from public cloud to on-premise private cloud.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Participate in project planning, timeline management, change management, issue management and release planning. Monitor project progress, ensure adherence to project milestones, and effectively communicate project status to stakeholders
  • Vendor Management: Serve as the contact point for external vendors. Monitor vendor performance and the timeliness and quality of their deliverables. Ensure vendors receive essential and relevant information and requirements, and escalate issues to stakeholders promptly.
  • Business Requirements: Collaborate with internal user groups to deliver requirements to the vendor and development team. Understand business needs and technical solutions to ensure alignment. Communicate risks and gaps in functional specifications as necessary.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Review test plans and strategies with the vendor and development team to ensure functional requirements are met. Develop test plans and strategies to confirm system compliance with technical requirements on reliability, performance, contingency, security, etc.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and other IT teams. Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide regular updates on project status and deliverables.
  • Technical Acceptance: Evaluate documents and evidence provided by vendors and development teams on system design, testing, security, deployment topology, and conformance to technical standards. Ensure the system is fit for use before deployment in production.
  • Project Financials: Track project costs and ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
  • Documentation and Training: Create detailed internal documents as well as review vendor and development team documents for quality and completeness. Collaborate with vendors on detailed training plans.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization. Contribute to the development of best practices, standards, and frameworks to enhance future implementations' efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in IT project management, including at least 3 years of experience in the financial industry.
  • Technical Skills: Concepts of infrastructure technologies and IT security concept are needed. Experience with cloud platforms is a plus.
  • Analytical Thinking: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex technical requirements, identify potential challenges, and devise solutions flexibly.
  • Communication: Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
