Job Description
- Develop and commercialize the new trade product especially related to open account trade, including drafting product program, liaising internal stakeholders to obtain new product approval, coordinating FI Dept. to set up credit limit for insurers, discussing insurance policy with insurers and Legal, launching the new trade product, sorting out issues under product implementation, enhancing product capability, insurance claims, etc.;
- Work with trade sales to define market requirements, understand client needs and prospects, identify opportunities, and work out product solutions to meet these needs ensuring delivery of trade.
- Improve the competitiveness of existing trade products, develop strategies to diversify trade products and improve efficiency, devise marketing campaigns, including RM incentives, and drive trade finance business growth.
- Provide support to trade sales and RM to facilitate the closure of complex trade finance deals. Develop product training materials, provide regular training to trade sales and RM, and communicate any changes.
- Identify and manage trade product risks including operational, regulatory, and business conduct risk, escalate risk issues timely and drive to conclusion;
- Work with Operations to enhance overall trade service and ensure quality of service to customers. Develop and strengthen digital trade solutions and channels.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent qualifications at HKQF level 5.
- Minimum 3 years of solid experience in corporate banking or trade finance experience, experience in trade product management is preferred.
- Solid knowledge in receivable finance, credit insurance, and trade payable finance.
- Good analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and presentation skills.
- Good understanding of banking systems, operations, and credit risk.
- Ability to speak Mandarin, read and write in Chinese.
Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Product Manager.

- Minimum 3 years of relevant banking experiences; Experience of trade finance product development is preferred
- Good knowledge on CDCS/CITF/CSDG will be an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, inclusive of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Self-motivated with Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong command of both written and spoken Chinese, including Putonghua

We are supporting our banking client, an expanding corporate bank renowned for its commitment to innovation and exceptional client service, in their search for a Trade Finance Assistant . This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team that plays a vital role in supporting the bank's growth and enhancing its trade finance offerings. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of robust operational processes while working in a collaborative environment focused on professional growth and excellence in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of trade finance activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Review and process trade documents, including Letters of Credit, bills of lading, and documentary collections, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce risks in trade finance operations.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients regarding trade finance inquiries, providing exceptional service and support throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Analyze and mitigate risks associated with trade transactions, safeguarding the bank’s interests and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Prepare and present operational reports to senior management, highlighting performance metrics, transaction volumes, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline workflows and enhance service delivery, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting trade finance, contributing to the continuous improvement of operational processes.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in trade finance operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in trade finance operations within the banking sector.
- Strong knowledge of trade finance products, including Letters of Credit, documentary collections, and guarantees.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to effectively address operational challenges.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with clients and stakeholders.
- Proficient in relevant banking software and MS Office applications.
