Job Overview
We are looking for MEP Project Manager to join our Hong Kong team. The ideal candidate will possess strong Project Management skills with a background in MEP systems within the construction industry. This role will assist the Project Director in overseeing and ensuring the successful execution of our regional projects across APAC.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Assist the Project Director in planning, executing, and closing MEP projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Client Interaction: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Team Leadership: Manage and coordinate internal teams, ensuring effective collaboration among engineers, designers, and other stakeholders.
- Sub-Consultant Management: Oversee and manage relationships with sub-consultants, ensuring their deliverables align with project goals.
- Contract Management: Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors, ensuring compliance and minimizing risks.
- Financial Oversight: Manage project invoicing, budgets, and financial reporting, ensuring projects are delivered within financial parameters.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all MEP designs meet industry standards and regulations, conducting regular reviews and audits.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services Engineering, or related field
- Minimum years of experience in MEP project management from a contractor or PM consultancy firm. Experience in Data Centres construction projects or similar critical facilities would be advantageous
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
Familiarity of MEP systems and design processes
Proven track record of managing and delivering multiple projects simultaneously. PMP or similar project management certification would be advantageous
- Fluency in English
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Description
MEP Scope of the project:
Refurbishment of ALL MEP systems within the Building while building in operation.
New MEP systems will be upgraded to best solutions for the building.
MEP includes (Elec / P&D / ELV / HVAC / Lifts / FS)
Preparation of project schedule in Microsoft Project and/or P6 including setting baselines, analysing dependencies and critical path, tracking and reporting progress.
Lead the overall project team including end user stakeholders, design consultants and engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
Manage the design team to develop a set of documentation that aligns with the initial project brief and clients requirements, in-line with corporate standards and specifications.
Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including setting the RFP/tender requirements, evaluation proposals, chairing interviews, and making recommendations for appointment.
Monitor and advise upon project finances, coordinate cost report with cost consultant, understand cost drivers, variations, and report progress against budget.
Manage the effective flow of information between the client, stakeholders, consultants, contractors, suppliers through chairing regular meetings, preparing reports, actions registers, presentations, etc.
Undertake regular site inspections, ensuring safe work practices, monitoring progress, assuring quality of works in accordance with the design
Take the leading role in communicating with the client, stakeholders, consultants, contractors, suppliers at all project stages
Manage and coordinate permitting and statutory matters, submissions, and approvals.
Develop long term business relationships with clients and the wider construction industry, based on integrity, trust, ethics, and delivering great outcomes on your projects.
Ensure that lessons learnt, benchmark data, and knowledge sharing is generated from each project
Qualifications
Construction related degree (e.g. Project Management, Construction Management, Design, Engineering, etc) or equivalent
A minimum of 6 years' experience of construction and project management related experience
Have worked on critical facilities and engineering projects in Hong Kong from feasibility to successful handover
Have worked on behalf of and represented international clients (preferably financial institutions)
Strong communication and presentation skills in English and Cantonese (Mandarin a bonus)
Track record working in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines, working proactively and collaboratively as part of a team
Competent using Microsoft suite of software including Project, Office, SharePoint, Teams, etc
