We are looking for a talented Application Developer to join our Digital Team whose primary role is to design, create, and maintain user-friendly digital products that meet the needs of the Company. He/she will be responsible for translating user requirements into functional and appealing digital experiences, ensuring that the products are responsive, secure, and scalable. Collaborating with designers, other developers, stakeholders and vendors, he/she will utilize his/her expertise in programming languages, frameworks, and best practices to deliver high-quality solutions that enhance user engagement and drive business growth. Constantly staying abreast of industry trends and AI technologies, he/she plays a crucial role in shaping the innovation and functionality of OUPC digital products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, implement and maintain Web based and/or mobile applications and services
- Utilize technical knowledge and programming skills to develop user-friendly web applications with both front-end design and back-end functionality
- Ensure system, database and architectural design meet project requirements and are responsive, secure, and scalable
- Conduct R&D on AI & innovative technologies to explore new opportunities
- Support program testing, troubleshoot and resolve any issues that occur during development and deployment of systems
- Integrate web applications with multimedia content and other OUP applications/products
- Help enhance internal/production workflow by automating tasks and processes
- Assist in requirement study, analysis, design, documentation and co-ordination with users, technical and operation teams
- Provide various technical and programming supports to the digital team and digital projects
- Work closely and share knowledge with system analyst, developers, designers
About You
- Higher Diploma or Degree in Computer Science / IT or related disciplines
- At least 3 years of professional experience in React app development
- Experience with TypeScript and knowledge in application programming languages like Java, Flutter, Rust, Python, etc. will be an advantage
- Proficient in using GitHub for source control;
- Experience in MySQL / MongoDB
- Knowledge of cross-platform development is an advantage
- Good knowledge of AWS/Azure cloud technology is preferred;
- Good understanding of OOP, design patterns
- Good communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:
The role involves mix of production support (70%) and business analysis (20-30%). In this capacity, you will be required to do functional and technical analysis of business needs, support internal clients, troubleshoot, and diagnose functional and technical issues in the production environment.
- Conduct functional and technical support on Research Website, CRM, Research workflow & distribution system
- Work closely with vendor and global development & application support teams to ensure smooth delivery of functional and technical requirement
- Conduct system Quality Assurance Testing and assist in User Acceptance Test. Perform production deployment and system upgrade
- Analyze business requirement and provide support & solution

Job Description Summary
This role can be located in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand or Hong Kong.
The Lead Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating Substation Protection and Control System (PAC) Solutions & Services to customers and acceptance of GE offering. Provides the experience, expertise and knowledge of Standards/GE offerings and Customers requirements to solve problems involving Substation Control schemes with options and negotiate internally/externally the suitability of all.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional technical strategy and execution for Substation Automation Systems (SAS), working closely with channel partners and internal cross-functional teams.
- Design, analyze, and evaluate projects using sound engineering principles aligned with GE standards and customer requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams and cross-functional collaborators.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to develop and implement action plans to increase market share, gain customer approvals, and launch new solutions.
- Drive development and adoption of SAS solutions within end-user organizations and across multiple countries.
- Support tendering and application teams with technical input and risk assessments.
- Represent GE in technical discussions, customer meetings, and industry forums—presenting new offerings and gathering product feedback.
- Ensure rigorous documentation and compliance with engineering policies and procedures.
- Serve as the technical liaison between Central Product Line teams, regional sales, channel partners, and customers.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college (or high school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of relevant experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in an engineering role, preferably with hands-on involvement in substation automation or protection systems.
- Proven expertise in:
- High Voltage (HV) or Medium Voltage (MV) Substation Automation Systems
- Protection systems
- Communication protocols including IEC 61850
- Substation Digital Control Systems and RTUs
- Strong communication skills to convey complex technical topics to diverse audiences.
