  • We are looking for PRODUCTION PLANNING MANAGER - with details as follows :

The Job

  • Report to the Global Sourcing & Compliance Manager who is based in US Headquarters
  • You will supervise the Production Planning Team to ensure factory on-time and acceptable quality production.
  • You will also assist the Senior Manager in managing raw material commitments and tracking work orders against factory capacity.
  • The ideal candidate must possess a track record of driving factory on-time delivery performance.
  • Experience working with foreign suppliers, preferably in the trim and packaging industry.
  • Supervise: guide the Hong Kong Production Planning Team in efficiently scheduling and producing trim and packaging items with external suppliers.
  • Capacity Management: monitor factory capacity by product type and report to the Senior Manager to ensure that work orders are well balanced across capable factories.
  • Vendor Performance: assist in establishing vendor KPI by utilizing analytical data; make recommendations on future work order allocation according to KPI analysis.
  • Raw Material Management: manage the raw material inventory at factories for the Company's key accounts.
  • Factory Performance Management: review monthly production reports of all top volume factories and conduct a monthly comprehensive review meeting with the factory.
  • Lead Time Management by Product Category: monitor lead time per product category and make suggestions to leadership regarding allowed lead times per product category, notable exceptions due to manufacturing complexity, and factory adherence to standard lead times.
  • 5+ years of supply chain or procurement experience - preferably in the garment / trims / packaging industries
  • 1+ years supervisory/management experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Suite
  • Broad-based understanding of Supplier Management
  • Proficient in English and Chinese
  • Some travel to visit factories in China and Vietnam is required.
  • 5 days work (Mon to Fri 9am-6pm)
  • Annual leave : 12 days
  • Medical & dental insurance
  • Employer extra MPF contribution

Your Role

Reporting to the Production Control Team Head, you’ll be part of a close-knit team of 5 professionals, driving operational efficiency and ensuring smooth production flow.

  • Manage procurement for mass production of released products
  • Issue monthly Production Requests to vendors and suppliers
  • Negotiate product costing with factories for ongoing and special deals
  • Oversee inventory disposal for both warehouse and factory production lines
  • Coordinate monthly parts production requests to ensure timely material delivery to OEM factories
  • Monitor and control recycled material usage
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to meet production goals

Ideal Candidate

  • F.5 graduated; Diploma is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in production control, vendor management, or related fields
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel & Word
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Strong command of Cantonese, Chinese, and English (spoken and written)
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills

Job Description

Oversee the end-to-end Supply Chain operations to ensure efficient, cost-effective production and distribution of goods, aligning with organizational goals for growth, sustainability, and customer satisfaction. This role is critical for optimizing global logistics, mitigating risks of customs and trade, and driving innovation in complex, multi-tiered supply chains.

Responsibilities:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Global Supply Chain Director to lead our overseas on-demand supply chain operations, specifically catering to the fast fashion industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in optimizing supply chain setups and a deep understanding of global markets, with a particular focus on the European market. This role is crucial for ensuring that we meet the demands of both internal and external clients efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize the supply chain, focusing on developing new vendors and nearshore production, and enhancing overall efficiency to cope with the company's fast growth in the global market.
  • Overseas Operations Management: Build and manage an on-demand supply chain network in key international markets, particularly in Europe, to ensure timely and cost-effective fulfillment of orders.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners to ensure reliability and quality in the supply chain.
  • Capacity Management: Oversee the planning and management of production to ensure they align with demand forecasts and business objectives. Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to optimize capacity utilization.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously identify areas for improvement in the supply chain process, implementing changes to enhance performance and reduce waste.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate with senior leadership, internal stakeholders, and external clients to provide updates on supply chain performance and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience in supply chain management, experience in the European fast fashion industry is preferred.
  • Global Market Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of global supply chain dynamics, with a deep understanding of the European market.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with a track record of developing and mentoring junior staff.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in supply chain management software and tools, such as SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment, with a strong understanding of international business practices.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English. Proficiency in another European language (e.g., Spanish, French, German) is highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices, particularly in logistics and transportation.
  • A minimum of 5 years in all rounded experience in shipping , inventory management experience is advantage;
  • Solid experience in ERP system, SAP is preferrable;
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to peers and management;
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to pick up ad hoc tasks; with a can-do attitude;
  • Attention to detail; with the ability to identify gaps and discrepancies;
  • Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner;
  • Business level English communication skills required;
  • Ideally holds a relevant university degree
