Job Summary
The Production Planning and Procurement Specialist is responsible for coordinating production schedules, ensuring material availability, and managing procurement activities to meet production demands efficiently. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, logistics, suppliers) to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and minimize costs while maintaining quality standards. Operating under the guidance of the Global Operation Director, the specialist monitors production progress, manages supplier relationships, negotiates procurement terms, and supports the development of a reliable supply base. The role acts as a strategic link between planning, production, and purchasing functions, contributing to continuous improvement and service excellence for internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning:
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, capacity planning, and material availability.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to meet deadlines. Ensures activities are carried out to implement the semi-finished product production process (films), as scheduled, from production launch to warehouse entry.
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to resolve bottlenecks and ensure smooth operations.
- Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Acts as the main point of contact for Sampling needs.
Procurement & Inventory Management:
- Source, negotiate, and procure raw materials, components, and services from suppliers.
- Proactively identifies and contacts suppliers; conducts negotiations with them, in agreement with the Global Supply Chain Director, to secure the best price, quality, and service conditions.
- Collaborates with R&D Project Leaders and QC/QA to write technical specifications to be requested from suppliers.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Implement inventory control measures (e.g., JIT, safety stock) to reduce waste.
Supplier & Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
- Resolve supply chain disruptions (e.g., delays, quality issues) proactively.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Track KPIs (on-time delivery, inventory turnover, procurement costs).
- Generate reports on production efficiency, procurement spend, and supplier performance.
- Use ERP/MRP systems to manage workflows.
Compliance & Cost Optimization:
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulations.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing and process improvements.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in production planning, procurement, or supply chain roles.
- Knowledge of supply chain management techniques and proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP), and demand planning tools. Skills in inventory management, production planning, data analysis and report creation.

Responsibilities:
Ensure the aircraft airframe/component maintenance tasks are well planned in accordance with the maintenance requirements
Preliminary evaluate maintenance work feasibility before handing over the work to Line Maintenance and MRO implementation
