Program Officer (SEN Youth Development)
JOB OVERVIEW
The Program Officer (SEN Youth) is a full-time role reporting to the Project Manager. You will help enhance employability and career pathways for youth with special education needs (SEN). Your responsibilities include ensuring a positive learner journey—from application through learning, placement, and ongoing support—while driving operational excellence. This role focuses on delivering excellent learner experiences and maintaining strong program outcomes through alumni engagement and data management. You will also help shape best practices within a global program delivery community and support disconnected individuals attending Generation programs.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Program Management & Operations
Manage program operations, mentorship delivery, and alumni support initiatives
- Drive positive learner experiences and maintain high program completion rates
Manage daily activities including recruitment, logistics, and administration
Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as primary point of contact for learners, alumni, and program partners
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners
Alumni Engagement and Data management
Ensure data quality and support Project Manager in preparing reports for decision making
- Track and optimize graduation, placement, and retention metrics that facilitate placement work
Share alumni insights with the Alumni Team to support engagement and programming
Operational Excellence
Support organizational efficiency through effective resource management
- Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes across the organization.
DESIRED PROFILE:
- Experienced in program operations and event planning, with a learner-centered and value-driven mindset. Familiarity in the NGO/education landscape is preferred.
- Prior experience working with youth with Special Education Needs (SEN) is preferred. Experience supporting young adults and diverse learner groups is an advantage.
- Passionate about creating long-term impact for youth, with a strong interest in tracking alumni growth, identifying gaps, and co-developing initiatives to enhance alumni engagement.
- People-oriented, approachable, and skilled at building rapport with both internal teams and external partners
- Ability to work with diversity and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Adaptable and proactive, with strong problem-solving and learning abilities
- Proficiency in computer skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
- Strong command of written and spoken English & Chinese (Cantonese) is a must.
