Job Overview

We are looking for a hands-on and service-focused Restaurant Supervisor to lead our service team. In this role, you will ensure smooth daily operations, deliver excellent guest experiences, and support team coordination with the kitchen. If you have strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, we would love to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth restaurant operations by coordinating with F&B team and maintaining well-stocked service stations
  • Lead and support the service team, communicating daily, goals and updates, and ensure effective collaboration with kitchen staff
  • Deliver courteous, professional service, handle guest feedback, and manage special requests to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Uphold hygiene, safety and service standards, and ensure staff appearance and work areas meet hotel expectations

Requirements

The Non-Negotiables (Must-Have)

  • 4 years of relevant working experience with at least 2 years ‘experience in supervisory role
  • Sounds knowledge in restaurant and event operations as well as F&B systems
  • Service-oriented, pleasant personality with strong sense of responsibility

The Cherries on Top (Nice-to-Have)

  • Diploma holder or above in Hospitality or related disciplines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good command of spoken Chinese and English

Candidate with less experience will be considered as Captain

As the Food & Beverage Service Team Leader for Events at Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong , you’ll take the lead in delivering seamless, stylish, and personalized service across a range of private and social functions. Whether it's a corporate meeting, wedding celebration, or pop-up activation, you'll ensure every detail runs flawlessly. You’ll be the hands-on leader working closely with the Events Service Manager and culinary team to bring our events to life while supporting the broader F&B team when needed. This is an ideal step for someone who thrives in dynamic settings, has a passion for guest interaction, and takes pride in smooth execution from set-up to breakdown.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every Day Is Different, But You’ll Mostly Be

  • Leading the events service team during setup, execution, and breakdown
  • Ensuring all event details are carried out according to BEOs and client expectations
  • Coordinating with culinary and stewarding teams to maintain timing and flow
  • Hosting and assisting VIP clients and event organizers on-site
  • Supporting team briefings, floor assignments, and service standards
  • Acting as the senior point of contact during events in the absence of management
  • Occasionally supporting other F&B outlets when required

What We Need From You

  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, ideally in banquets or events within hotels or upscale venues
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset, able to handle last-minute changes with grace
  • Excellent interpersonal and guest relations skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a plus

As the Food & Beverage Service Team Leader for Events at Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong , you’ll take the lead in delivering seamless, stylish, and personalized service across a range of private and social functions. Whether it's a corporate meeting, wedding celebration, or pop-up activation, you'll ensure every detail runs flawlessly. You’ll be the hands-on leader working closely with the Events Service Manager and culinary team to bring our events to life while supporting the broader F&B team when needed. This is an ideal step for someone who thrives in dynamic settings, has a passion for guest interaction, and takes pride in smooth execution from set-up to breakdown.
A little taste of your day-to-day
Every Day Is Different, But You’ll Mostly Be

  • Leading the events service team during setup, execution, and breakdown
  • Ensuring all event details are carried out according to BEOs and client expectations
  • Coordinating with culinary and stewarding teams to maintain timing and flow
  • Hosting and assisting VIP clients and event organizers on-site
  • Supporting team briefings, floor assignments, and service standards
  • Acting as the senior point of contact during events in the absence of management
  • Occasionally supporting other F&B outlets when required
What We Need From You
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, ideally in banquets or events within hotels or upscale venues
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset, able to handle last-minute changes with grace
  • Excellent interpersonal and guest relations skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a plus

With more than 50 years of experience to deliver tailored, high-quality inflight and catering cuisine solutions to customers and consumers in Hong Kong and across the globe, the company operates the principal aviation catering business in Hong Kong.

The selected candidate will report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Cathay Dining (CDI). As General Manager - Operations, s/he provides the leadership, management, and vision necessary to drive and oversee CDI operations to deliver excellent and efficient catering services to the Cathay group and other CDI customers. S/he ensure that our operations of all company’s activities associated with food production and operation services are aligned with changing customer needs, industry technological advances, and the Company business objectives set by COO.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the daily business operations associated with food production and operations services to ensure the alignment with Cathay Dining vision, mission, values and meeting all operational KPIs.
  • Lead execution of business strategy as developed by COO with the goal of increasing business value and ensure effective operation performance of both Airline Catering and Non-Airline Catering Business.
  • Collaboration with Cathay team on dining experience design.
  • Drive to meet financial objectives in relation to food cost, staff cost, capacity and cost optimisation, with growth of sales revenue, market share and profitability.
  • Provide leadership to the operation teams to build a motivated and engaged workforce and an inclusive workplace. Drive and foster a high performing team and develop the culture of data-driven decision making across the organisation.
  • Ensure operations are conducted safely, and in compliance with all health, safety and other legal requirements of Hong Kong, other applicable regulatory authorities and Company Standards, Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure operations are conducted according to all quality requirements and guidelines as specified by Hong Kong regulatory authorities, Company and other applicable standards such as ISO, HACCP etc.
  • Evaluate deployment of human, technical, financial and material resources to formulate plan for continual improvements on operating efficiencies, food variance, on-time performance (OTP), working with centralised teams where appropriate to achieve high standard of customer satisfaction.
  • Drive lean initiatives / operational excellence and reinforce training programs to strive for a cost-efficient and highly adaptive flow of production and operations services.
  • Support COO on all high-level strategic planning across the full spectrum of organisational design and development, collaborate with CDI leadership team to drive organisation transformation and manage organisational change initiatives.
  • Other projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably in operations management, business management or engineering related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in food manufacturing industry, with at least 8 years in a Senior Management Position. Preferably with operational knowledge of airline inflight catering.
  • ERP design and implementation experience.
  • Experience in successfully managing and executing multiple process improvement projects, using LEAN and Six Sigma tools, simultaneously and cross-functionally.
  • Experience in strategic and business planning.
  • Strong business acumen with strong capability in dynamic situation management.
  • Result-oriented and able to manage change.
  • Strategic thinking, broad business perspectives and strong management skills.
  • Excellent presentation and persuasion skills, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication, analytical, critical thinking and financial skills with the ability to understand and describe complex situations.
  • Work experience in Asia would be an advantage.
