Core Responsibilities
1. New Product Introduction
DFM Review:
- Lead new product DFM meetings with DKA Singapore, Quality, Production, and other departments. Evaluate the feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency of mass production from a manufacturing perspective, propose design optimizations, and reach consensus with Singapore.
- Deconstruct overall product assembly 2D/3D drawings provided by Singapore to generate detailed component drawings and production bill of materials.
Process Confirmation & Standardization:
- Convene internal process review meetings to define the complete production process flow (from materials, machining, sheet metal processing, welding, surface treatment to assembly).
- Develop and release process drawings, technical specifications, and standards to ensure production activities are well-defined.
Sample Build & Validation:
- Oversee the sample build process, providing on-site technical guidance to ensure samples are made strictly according to process requirements.
- Evaluate sample quality against design requirements and customer standards, compile issues for process optimization.
Component Standardization Management:
- Identify and promote the standardization and commonality of shared parts across product lines to reduce material complexity and procurement costs.
2. Manufacturing Engineering
Manufacturing Instruction Development:
- Develop and issue Manufacturing Instructions, specifying process parameters, equipment requirements, inspection standards, etc., to standardize manufacturing processes.
Work Instruction Review:
- Create and review detailed Work Instructions, providing clear, safe, and accurate operational guidance for production line operators.
3. Continuous Improvement
Process Optimization:
- Analyze bottlenecks, waste, and quality risks in existing processes; lead improvement projects to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Production Issue Resolution:
- Collect and summarize technical issues arising in production; organize resources for Root Cause Analysis, develop and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions, and track issues to closure.
Material Review Board:
- Participate in MRB meetings to review non-conforming products, deviations, or anomalies with Quality and Production; make decisions regarding rework, scrap, or concession; assess risks to product quality and delivery.
Qualifications and responsibility
Education & Major:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Design & Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Materials Forming & Control Engineering, or related engineering fields.
Work Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing process engineering or product engineering, preferably in aerospace, automotive, or precision equipment manufacturing.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering team management or project leadership.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Proficient in engineering software for drawing review and deconstruction.
- In-depth understanding of metal processing techniques and process flow design.
