Our Mission

At

Our Mission

At WeMaintain , we believe that smart buildings start with the people who keep them running. That’s why we give engineers the autonomy, time, and recognition they deserve, because they’re the ones who truly understand what’s happening on the ground.

To support them, we build our own technology—hardware and software —that gives real-time, reliable data to improve how buildings are managed, maintained, and upgraded.

Join us to lead the building operations transformation, where grit meets purpose, and people grow through trust, responsibility, and impact.

Why Join Us?

WeMaintain is for those who want to feel trusted, respected, and challenged. If you’re here to just do the minimum, it won’t work. But if you’re here to grow, you’ll be trusted, supported, and given room to grow.

Our Values — What They Mean For You

Care

We take the time to support our teammates, listen, and make decisions that respect people, whether it’s a field engineer’s safety issue, a colleague’s mental load, or a client’s challenge.

At WeMaintain, care shows up in real ways: flexible work, open feedback, and helping out even when it’s “not your job.”

Grit

We don’t give up when things get tough. We adapt, we learn fast, and we push through challenges with determination and focus. We know building something meaningful isn’t easy, and that’s what makes it worth it.

Grit here means being reliable, taking ownership, and staying solutions-oriented, especially when there’s no clear path.

Uniqueness

We value what makes each person different. Whether it’s a background, a skill, or a way of thinking, we believe our strength comes from diversity and authenticity. There’s no mold to fit into here.

At WeMaintain, your voice matters. You’re encouraged to speak up, try new things, and bring your full self to work.

Living Our Values

These values aren’t optional—they’re how we decide who joins, how we work together, and how we grow.

At WeMaintain, we build powerful tech, but it’s our culture that sustains our growth.

Whether you’re in the field, at your desk, or building our next product, Care, Grit, and Uniqueness are the foundation of how we operate and the filter for everything we build.

Technology makes us go fast. Culture helps us go far.

Who Are We Looking For?

WeMaintain is looking for an Engineering Manager in Hong Kong.

It will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of lift and escalator operations.

This role involves leading a team of engineers, optimizing performance metrics, maintaining compliance with industry standards, ensuring the seamless integration of IoT and AI-driven solutions, and fostering a culture of continuous innovation.

What Will Your Future Role Be?

  • Technical Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute a technical roadmap aligned with WeMaintain’s business goals, leverage cross-brand technical expertise to deliver high-quality maintenance and troubleshooting in the Hong Kong market.
  • Team Management & Development: Hire, lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers and technical specialists, disseminate the knowledge of all WeMaintain’s field engineer teams via our product solutions, and with the support of the Global Head of Technical, establish WeMaintain’s credibility in the Hong Kong market.
  • Operational Excellence: Monitor and optimize engineering performance metrics to drive efficiency and ensure service quality.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to industry regulations, WeMaintain safety standards, and best practices, and work with HSEQ to perform audits of PPE and tools.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key technical representative for clients and partners, ensuring technical needs and expectations are met. Work with respective country / regional technical directors & MDs to standardize our approaches
  • Innovation & Technology Integration: Drive the adoption of our mobile apps, IoT, and AI solutions to enhance service offerings and training

Join to apply for the Engineering Manager, Treasury role at Reap

About Reap

Reap is a global financial technology company headquartered in Hong Kong with employees across multiple countries. We enable financial connectivity and access for businesses worldwide by combining traditional finance with stablecoins for efficient money movement.

About Reap

Reap is a global financial technology company headquartered in Hong Kong with employees across multiple countries. We enable financial connectivity and access for businesses worldwide by combining traditional finance with stablecoins for efficient money movement.

Through our stablecoin-powered corporate cards, payments, and expense management tools, we streamline financial operations and help businesses scale. Our APIs enable businesses to integrate stablecoin-enabled finance into their own products and services—from issuing Visa cards to facilitating cross-border payments.

Backed by leading investors including Index Ventures and HashKey Capital, Reap is building the future of borderless, stablecoin-enabled finance.

About The Team

The Treasury team builds and operates the core infrastructure that moves money across our platform. We’re responsible for handling incoming and outgoing flows—fiat and stablecoins, internal transfers, withdrawals, and payouts. Our systems need to be reliable, observable, and audit-ready by default. We work closely with teams across the company to design systems that meet real-world operational, regulatory, and business needs.

What you’ll do

As an Engineering Manager, you’ll lead the team building global, asset-agnostic money movement systems that work seamlessly across regions, currencies, and financial partners. You’ll build flows that handle both fiat and stablecoins in production.

You’ll be deeply involved in the architecture and operation of these systems, while also developing and supporting the engineers around you. You’ll work closely with engineering, product, customer success, and finance teams to deliver solutions that are reliable, scalable, and compliant.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and operation of core treasury systems
  • Partner across disciplines to align on priorities, trade-offs, and long-term architecture
  • Drive technical decision-making while supporting the growth and performance of the team
  • Build observability into every layer; lead incident response and ensure continuous reliability improvements
  • Stay current with fintech, infrastructure, and compliance trends—and evolve our systems accordingly

What we’re looking for

We encourage everyone to apply even if you just meet the minimum requirements. Preferred qualifications are a bonus.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience working in one of the following domains: treasuries, ledgers, or FX, with at least 1-2 years in technical leadership or management roles. Proven track record of owning and operating business-critical systems.
  • Problem solving: You care deeply about correctness, edge cases, and failure modes. You approach problems methodically, debug with rigor, and prioritize clear, robust solutions over quick fixes.
  • Engineering breadth: You bring deep backend experience and enjoy building financial infrastructure, but you’re not limited by stack boundaries. You work comfortably across layers to solve the right problems.
  • Technical judgment: You balance technical depth with product understanding, and apply sound judgment when making tradeoffs. You build systems that are elegant under the hood, but practical and adaptable in real-world use.
  • Peer collaboration: You hold a high bar for code quality, reliability, and peer review, and value working closely with others who do the same. You communicate clearly, challenge ideas respectfully, and help raise the quality of the whole team.
  • Versatility: You’re comfortable learning new domains, working across the stack, and adapting quickly as priorities shift. You thrive in fast-moving environments and aren’t afraid to dive deep into unfamiliar systems.
  • Our main stack is TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, and AWS, but we value strong engineering fundamentals over any specific toolset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical proficiency: You design systems that are stateless by default, built for scale, and resilient to failure. You’re comfortable with async workflows, distributed services, and cloud infrastructure.
  • AI fluency: You embrace using AI tools to accelerate development and explore ideas, but you apply them with discernment, not as a replacement. You know when to trust outputs and when to go deeper.
  • Full-stack experience: Experience across the stack (backend, frontend, infrastructure, data) is a bonus.
  • High-growth environments: Experience working in high-growth teams is a bonus.

After submitting your application, please check your inbox for a confirmation email. If you don't see it, kindly check your spam or junk folder and adjust your settings to ensure future communication reaches your inbox. You can follow the steps here.
