A great opportunity has opened up for an enthusiastic, dedicated teaching assistant to work mainly with individual pupils or small groups within the school who have complex SEND.
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Assistant Principal SENDCO, the teacher in charge of the class, and alongside the wider TA team.

Main Responsibilities
Develop an in depth understanding of the specific needs of individuals and groups of pupils who present with complex SEND.
Plan and teach lessons for individuals, or small groups of pupils, to facilitate their learning and physical, emotional, social and educational development.
Guide, support and empower pupils to develop and work towards individual personal care objectives and enhance personal, emotional and social development.
Maintain appropriate records, monitor progression and attainment and provide reports and information to inform and support the assessment process.
Monitor pupils' conduct and behaviour throughout the learning process and intervene to resolve complex, difficult or challenging issues using appropriate techniques, skills strategies and routine sanctions.
Maintain a safe and calm atmosphere conducive to learning and ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils and staff.
Advise and assist pupils in the proper use of complex personal and learning aides and equipment and ensure that they are available.
Providing guidance, assistance, information and support to engage pupils in learning activities.
Prepare and clear up classroom materials and learning areas ensuring that they are available for use.
Attend staff briefings to maintain an awareness and understanding of current issues within the school and to provide and receive information, contribute to and inform discussion.

The appointee will participate in a research project focused on analyzing employment trends using data-driven approaches and developing job recommendation algorithms. He/she will be responsible for:

There will be opportunities for manuscript writing and publications in international journals or conferences. The initial appointment will be for a period of 3 to 12 months, depending on the applicant's qualifications.
Applicants should have at least Level 2 or equivalent or above in five subjects including Chinese Language, English Language and Mathematics in HKDSEE; or Grade E (Level 2) or above in five subjects including Chinese, English (Syllabus B) and Mathematics in HKCEE or equivalent. Preference will be given to those with a Bachelor's Degree or above in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Medical Information Engineering, or a closely related discipline with expertise in data science or artificial intelligence. Hands-on experience in programming and background knowledge in generative artificial intelligence will be an advantage. Applications should have good communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese, as well as good interpersonal and communication skills.
