**Role purpose**
This role will have primary responsibility for Hong Kong (HK) profits tax, domestic minimum tax and HK employment tax. The role will be based in HK and report to the Head of Regional Tax Reporting and Head of HK Tax within the broader Asia and Middle East tax team.

+ Responsibility for identifying and review and challenge in relation to Uncertain Tax Positions reporting for in-scope HK entities (in the reporting portal where appropriate).
+ Responsible for tax reporting, financial forecasts and stress tests for in-scope HK entities
+ Responsible for briefing Regional tax reporting team, before and after quarter-end reporting activities to enable them to discharge their own responsibilities, including in relation to reporting to external auditors.
+ Oversee tax payments, and correspondence with the Inland Revenue Department, including enquiries and audits
+ Liaison with business tax teams on relevant business matters impacting in-scope HK entities
+ Liaison with country tax teams on relevant matters impacting in-scope HK entities
+ Second line responsibilities for HK employment tax matters, including subject matter expertise (either directly or sourced externally)

Job Description
**Position Responsibilities:**
· Receive derivatives trading requests from Relationship Management, Product Management and Portfolio Managers. Assess the trading documentations, broker accounts and internal system setups required to enable the derivatives trading pipeline.
· Facilitate the internal derivatives trading approval process and ensure that there is a governance structure around the onboarding of new accounts trading derivatives.
· Maintain status dashboards of derivatives account opening requests and present them to traders in regular meetings.
· Support Traders need for best execution by setting up the full range of desired derivatives brokers.
· Coordinate the derivatives trading related onboarding functions for new accounts and new brokers.
· Coordinate derivatives trading operational readiness within the Asia Derivatives Services team including middle office, operations and collateral management.
· Coordinate with Legal Services to ensure that proper legal agreements are put in place to support derivatives trading.
· Ensure that all account, broker onboarding and legal documentation is maintained.
· Maintain an accurate and complete matrix of accounts, authorized derivative products, derivatives legal agreements and active brokers.
· Contribute to the successful management of external broker relationships.
· Work with the Derivatives Solutions team to support the setup of technology to facilitate trading of new derivative product types.
· Take ownership of side projects to clean up records and validate broker setups.
· Contribute to the harmonization of the derivatives onboarding process with the Global Derivatives Services team in Boston.

· Receive derivatives trading requests from Relationship Management, Product Management and Portfolio Managers. Assess the trading documentations, broker accounts and internal system setups required to enable the derivatives trading pipeline.
· Facilitate the internal derivatives trading approval process and ensure that there is a governance structure around the onboarding of new accounts trading derivatives.
· Maintain status dashboards of derivatives account opening requests and present them to traders in regular meetings.

This is a highly visible role for a self-motivated problem solver who excels at working independently, communicates effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, and is passionate about shaping the future of AI in the life insurance industry.
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Partner with business stakeholders across underwriting, claims, distribution, customer experience, and actuarial functions to identify opportunities where data science and AI can drive measurable business impact.
+ Translate business challenges into analytical problems, defining success metrics and solution approaches.
+ Lead end-to-end delivery of analytics use cases from problem framing through deployment and integration.
+ Serve as a bridge between business and technical teams ensuring solutions meet business needs.
+ Deliver insights and recommendations in a clear, business-friendly manner.
+ Drive adoption of analytics solutions by embedding them into workflows and decision processes.
+ Quantify and communicate business impact including revenue growth, cost efficiency, claims reduction, and persistency improvement.
+ Apply data science techniques to underwriting, claims, customer retention, distribution effectiveness, and personalization.
+ Leverage Generative AI and LLMs to enhance business productivity.
+ Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, model governance, and responsible AI standards.
+ Collaborate with actuarial, risk, compliance, and IT teams.
+ Mentor junior team members and promote data-driven culture.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Actuarial Science.
+ 6-10 years of experience in data science, AI, or advanced analytics with strong business-facing exposure.
+ Prior experience in life insurance or related financial services industries preferred.
+ Solid understanding of the life insurance value chain.
+ Proven ability to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
+ Hands-on experience with machine learning and statistical modeling.
+ Proficiency in Python, R, or similar tools.
+ Experience working with large and complex datasets.
+ Exposure to Generative AI / LLM use cases is highly valued.
+ Strong business acumen linking analytics to financial outcomes.
+ Experience in agile environments.
+ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
+ Familiarity with insurance regulations and model governance is an advantage.
