Centre for Animal Health and Welfare
DutiesThe appointee will join our team investigating emerging infectious diseases of animals. Duties are related to the laboratory and field investigation of infectious diseases. Duties include field trips, cPCR/qPCR, protein production and purification, immunoassays, NGS, bioinformatics; training and supervising students as required; curation of a sample biobank; providing administrative support; and performing any other duties as assigned.
RequirementsCandidates should possess a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary/Biomedical Science or a related discipline. A strong working knowledge of establishing and troubleshooting molecular diagnostics is required, along with a willingness and ability to adapt and acquire new skills. Meticulous attention to detail and record-keeping, as well as effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team, are essential. Previous publications in biomedical research and fluency in both spoken and written English and Chinese are preferred.
Candidates with a PhD degree may be considered for appointment as Postdoctoral Fellow.
Salary and Conditions of ServiceSalary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
