Responsibilities

  • assist in planning and organising promotion activities, student events, admission exercises and managing student affairs matters;
  • co-ordinate various programme-related activities, including seminars, workshops, and conferences;
  • work closely with course instructors to support programme delivery;
  • liaise with various internal and external parties to ensure the delivery of high-quality progarmme service;
  • serve as secretary to committees and working groups; and
  • provide administrative support to the Department and its programmes.

Applicants Should

  • possess a recognised bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant working experience or knowledge, preferably in the field of Art and Design, Cultural and Creative Industries, or Cultural Heritage Management;
  • be proficient in computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word processing;
  • have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • have good interpersonal and communication skills; and
  • be a fast learner, self-motivated, a good team player and able to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Design Manager with over a decade of experience in both agency and in-house creative environments, particularly within the beauty, skincare, cosmetics, and medical care sectors. This role is ideal for a creative leader who thrives in fast-paced, consumer-driven industries and is passionate about delivering compelling visual storytelling that resonates across diverse markets.

You will lead a high-performing team of designers—including offshore teammates in Mainland China—driving innovation across packaging, print, digital, and outdoor media. With a strong foundation in art direction, AI-enhanced design, and regional market insights, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and consumer experience of our brand across Asia.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of 5+, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
  • Oversee the end-to-end creative process, from concept development to final execution, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and business objectives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with brand marketing, production, sales, and regional teams to deliver integrated campaigns and packaging solutions
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional quality across all creative outputs
  • Provide strong art direction across packaging, print, digital, and outdoor channels, including MTR ads, posters, and social media (e.g., Facebook, IG)
  • Guide production processes including color tuning, retouching, and print preparation, ensuring flawless execution
  • Maintain and evolve brand guidelines to ensure consistency while allowing for local market adaptation
  • Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance design workflows and creative innovation
  • Stay ahead of international design and fashion trends, applying insights to elevate brand aesthetics and relevance
  • Act as a creative ambassador, championing design excellence and user-centric thinking across the organization

Who we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive design experience in FMCG, beauty, skincare, or medical care industries
  • Proven track record of leading creative teams, including remote and cross-border collaboration
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in packaging, print, digital, and campaign design
  • Deep understanding of brand development, consumer behavior, and regional market dynamics
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and other industry-standard tools
  • Experience with AI-powered design tools and workflows is a strong advantage
  • Excellent communication skills in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English
  • Solid knowledge of printing techniques, production processes, and visual retouching
  • Ability to balance creative vision with commercial objectives and operational constraints
  • Experience working with Mainland China teams and understanding cultural nuances
  • Strong packaging design experience with proven success in regional markets
  • Familiarity with agile project management tools and methodologies

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The Design Senior Manager, Creative & VM will report in to the Brand Director, APAC, and in partnership with the Global and regional teams, deliver all regional Visual Merchandising and retail design initiatives for APAC while ensuring brand values, aesthetics, and global vision are adhered to while remaining locally relevant.

This is a permanent full-time position based in the Estee Lauder offices in Harbour City. It is a hybrid role, working from the office 3 days per week.

WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

  • Serve as the key partner between APAC teams and Global VM Retail Experience Team to stay abreast of Global and VM initiatives that influence APAC solutions.
  • Liaise with the Global creative team on project timelines, deliverables, budget, and execution.
  • Drive strong partnerships and collaboration with the APAC Partnerships teams and cross-functional support teams.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of APAC regional needs, formats (FSS vs gondolas), and premium retail partners (Sephora, Priceline, etc) to deliver best-in-class representation of the brand
  • Confidently present designs/prototypes to management for approval to progress projects at critical stages, receive feedback and put into action.
  • Oversee all concept, development and implementation of VM and Creative programs including, but not limited to, hard fixtures, prototypes, regional guidelines, as well as planograms for all fixture iterations.
  • Collaborate with retail partners, display vendors, engineers, and multiple internal brand teams to ensure best-in-class visual merchandising displays, optimising navigation and education on all touchpoints
  • Responsible for ensuring all relevant parties are updated on scheduling, on-counter dates for merchandising tools, and work with key executives to manage issues as they arise.
  • Conduct clear and accurate weekly updates of all design work in progress during team meetings and be an avid participant during Global Creative Review meetings.
  • Ensure brand design standards are upheld at all times and communicated to any external design teams

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • Proven track record in interpreting brand strategy in a growing environment with full-scope project design and project development experience.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to articulate ideas and concepts clearly and accurately to cross-functional partners.
  • Knowledge of technical drawings, project management, materials and manufacturing processes
  • Software Skills: AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Indesign & Photoshop, Cinema 4D or Rhino is a plus.
  • Must be collaborative and build strong relationships with retailers, VM, field and all cross-functional teams.

We are seeking a creative and adaptable Junior Art Director to join our creative team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about visual storytelling and design, eager to develop their skills while contributing to exciting projects across digital and print media. You will work closely with our Senior Art Director and cross-functional teams to help bring creative concepts to life and maintain brand consistency.

The position is full-time in our Hong Kong office.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the creation of product pages for new product launches working with other team members
  • Assist Senior Art Director in developing creative concepts and visual strategies for photoshoots, campaigns and projects
  • Collaborate with outside photographers and videographers in the creation of assets for our brand
  • Create compelling visual designs and graphics for print, digital, and social media platforms
  • Collaborate with copywriters, designers, and other team members to create compelling campaigns
  • Prepare design materials for presentations and other ad hoc projects
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
  • Ensure adherence to brand guidelines and style consistency
  • Stay current with design trends, tools, and technologies to bring fresh ideas to the team

Your Role & Scope at SellerX

We’re growing our Visual Content & Creative Team and looking for a Senior Art Director (f/m/x) to join us in Hong Kong —with regular collaboration in Dongguan .

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of the entire visual output for our Dongguan image concept hub, currently led by an interim manager and now ready to be shaped creatively by you. You’ll be our go-to expert for building brand visual direction at scale, creating systems, and mentoring a small but growing team into creative excellence.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on turning creative strategy into scalable execution, balancing vision with hands-on craft.

You'll be reporting directly into the Brand Creative Leadership and collaborating cross-functionally with teams in Hong Kong and Berlin.

Base: Hong Kong, with bi-weekly travel to Dongguan.

In Detail, You'll Be Hands-on

  • Own and lead the art direction for all Dongguan-based visual content—from concept to final delivery across Amazon and web shops.
  • Build, reshape, and implement brand books that reflect the unique tone and identity of each SellerX brand.
  • Guide and mentor a junior image concept team (3 people, based in Dongguan) in creating high-quality, conversion-driven product visuals.
  • Set up scalable systems using Figma and establish a structured library and design framework our teams can grow with.
  • Collaborate with photography teams to ensure consistent visual storytelling across channels.
  • Partner with brand and category managers across departments (HK and globally) to translate product insights into visual direction.

Requirements To Thrive In Your New Role

  • A creative leader with a strong portfolio in brand design, content creation, and visual storytelling across multiple brands or product types.
  • Hands-on expertise in Figma and Photoshop as you’ll be our internal subject matter expert and the architect of scalable visual templates.
  • Experience developing and executing brand books and visual identity systems from scratch and evolving existing ones.
  • Proven ability to mentor and upskill junior creatives, creating clarity and confidence in both vision and execution.
  • A natural collaborator with experience partnering across functions: brand and category management, photography, and operations.
  • Language fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English as you’ll need to operate cross-regionally and cross-culturally on a daily base.

Your Role & Scope at SellerX
We’re growing our Visual Content & Creative Team and looking for a Senior Art Director (f/m/x) to join us in Hong Kong —with regular collaboration in Dongguan .
This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of the entire visual output for our Dongguan image concept hub, currently led by an interim manager and now ready to be shaped creatively by you. You’ll be our go-to expert for building brand visual direction at scale, creating systems, and mentoring a small but growing team into creative excellence.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on turning creative strategy into scalable execution, balancing vision with hands-on craft.
You'll be reporting directly into the Brand Creative Leadership and collaborating cross-functionally with teams in Hong Kong and Berlin.
Fluency In Cantonese, Mandarin, And English Is Essential.
Base: Hong Kong, with bi-weekly travel to Dongguan.

In Detail, You'll Be Hands-on

  • Own and lead the art direction for all Dongguan-based visual content—from concept to final delivery across Amazon and web shops.
  • Build, reshape, and implement brand books that reflect the unique tone and identity of each SellerX brand.
  • Guide and mentor a junior image concept team (3 people, based in Dongguan) in creating high-quality, conversion-driven product visuals.
  • Set up scalable systems using Figma and establish a structured library and design framework our teams can grow with.
  • Collaborate with photography teams to ensure consistent visual storytelling across channels.
  • Partner with brand and category managers across departments (HK and globally) to translate product insights into visual direction.
Requirements To Thrive In Your New Role
  • A creative leader with a strong portfolio in brand design, content creation, and visual storytelling across multiple brands or product types.
  • Hands-on expertise in Figma and Photoshop as you’ll be our internal subject matter expert and the architect of scalable visual templates.
  • Experience developing and executing brand books and visual identity systems from scratch and evolving existing ones.
  • Proven ability to mentor and upskill junior creatives, creating clarity and confidence in both vision and execution.
  • A natural collaborator with experience partnering across functions: brand and category management, photography, and operations.
  • Language fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English as you’ll need to operate cross-regionally and cross-culturally on a daily base.
