  • Manage the overall creative and production departments from goal setting, creative resourcing, business development and people management with the Regional Creative Director/VP Design Greater Asia
  • Uphold and elevate the overall creative output of the deigns and development of key processes to ensure the highest level of creativity is achieved for the assigned tasks
  • Lead, coach, manage and mentor a team of art directors, designers, copywriter and when required, multi-media producers including CGI artists (for 3D/CGI projects with Marks NA or MNL team support)
  • Support the overall direction of the creative team and enforce accountability when standards are not met
  • Work with the Regional Creative Director and VP, Design to develop and grow the creative department staffing strategies and plans, including; team performance, composition, expertise, skills, training and mentoring
  • Work directly with client leads and strategy to establish the creative/marketing objectives, strategies, tactics and required creative executions
  • Actively participate in client presentations (both up-front fact-finding meetings, presentation of finished creative strategies and executions; workshops or work session in collaboration with Strategy and Account Management Team)
  • Build trust-based relationships with Key Clients for regional and global clients with the Account Management teams
  • Leading by example, inspiring your team to produce exceptional, insightful work that fully explores, challenges and goes beyond the brief.
  • Approving work before client submission, maintaining our quality of output. Support or lead client presentation with Account Management Team.
  • Acting as the design consultant to Account/Client Management, aligning briefs to the client and brand needs, adding richness and insight to enable best-in-class design
  • Take part in campaign communication and concept development and oversee creative work end to end with the support of Art Directors.
  • Be the leading creative on all work spanning from global to regional or market campaigns concepts, toolkit designs working with the creative teams for the Key Client
  • Partake in developing creative briefs based on business briefs received from Key Client Trade Marketing Teams when required.
  • Strong understanding and experience within the Chinese/APAC digital eco-system
  • Maximising design resources, managing team’s workflow to deliver efficiently, adapting the plan when things change in partnership with Resource Management.
  • Growing the Hong Kong team by coaching, setting clear objectives, following the PDR/appraisal process with Regional Creative Director/VP Design.
  • Ensuring your team follow file, server, naming conventions, business policies and process.

  • Be an engaging presenter, debating, defending design work, influencing.
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Bilingual – Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin
  • Exceptional print / production/ material knowledge
  • Adobe CC, Office, Sketching, Advantages if familiar with 3D software and strong visualization skills

Experience:

  • 8-12 years’ experience within a Brand/Packaging Design/Shopper Marketing/Retail Design agency in Snr Creative Design roles, with extensive experience in brand, integrated campaign strategy, shopper marketing, shopper journey to final instore retail solutions, retail innovations and seamless retail experience, online and offline
  • With at least 4-year experience managing a creative department
  • A strong knowledge of digital, social and e-commerce advertising/marketing
  • Experience leading campaign development and directing creative execution
  • Strong organizational abilities, including time and resource management
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Reputation for selecting and developing highly qualified employees to sustain superior overall quality of client services
  • Refined personal development skills, a team player and collaborator
  • A degree in Graphic Design, Product/Industrial Design, Illustration, Digital or related field

JOB DESCRIPTION

With 8-10 years of experience, you have led creative teams, directed junior

design team members and built client relationships. You have proven yourself as a systematic design thinker and have seen projects from concept to

completion. You are able to complement the strategy team, to push creative

ideas and think beyond just design execution. Your goal will be to create and direct outstanding creative work, think beyond just design and develop

creative talent in others.

RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Work in partnership with Strategic and Account team to understand and manage client needs
  • Ability to understand and contribute to help shape creative strategy
  • Translate strategic insights into compelling, high-quality omni-channel design solutions
  • Bring conceptual thinking and high levels of craft and execution to every stage of the design process
  • Positively contribute to studio culture and inspire creative excellence in othersinterfacing
  • Nurture and mentor junior team members, helping grow their skills, confidence, and creativity
  • Present work with clarity and confidence to internal teams and clientsand
  • Partner with external vendors and specialty resources to deliver on creative vision
  • Contribute to studio culture, inspire others

EXPERIENCE

  • 8-10 years of experience in a branding, design, or multidisciplinary studio
  • Strong design craft, concept development, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Mastery of design tools including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Figma, PowerPoint, and emerging AI tools (e.g., Midjourney, Firefly, Runway)
  • Nice to have working knowledge of motion/video tools such as After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut
  • Degree level experience in Graphic Design or equivalent experience
  • Deep understanding of typography, layout, and design systems across digital and print
  • best practices across print and digital
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with a collaborative and constructive mindset
  • Working knowledge of UX and UI principles
  • Ability to manage time, workflow, and priorities independently
  • Deep understanding of print processes and creative production
  • Solid verbal and written presentation skills in English and Mandarin
