SCHOOL OF CREATIVE ARTS
Manager
The School of Creative Arts (SCA), comprised of three well-established academic units: the Academy of Film, the Academy of Music, and the Academy of Visual Arts. Established on July 1, 2022, SCA is dedicated to nurturing future-ready talents for Hong Kong and beyond, while making a significant impact on society through innovative research and transdisciplinary studies.
The School is now seeking a high-calibre, dedicated, mature and self-motivated individual to join the Dean's Office.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of academic affairs, including programme management, admissions, promotion, scholarships and financial aids administration;
- Provide secretarial support to the School Board and School Committees;
- Manage initiatives related to internationalisation and student exchange, including shared campus arrangements, career services, internships, and alumni relations and development;
- Administer the quality assurance processes;
- Manage the implementation of promotion and publicity activities, events, and developmental projects;
- Coordinate and facilitate alignment among the three academies in various aspects;
- Supervise staff involved in school events and website development; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
A good honours degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience, and solid work experience in higher education institutions. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); strong sense of responsibility with demonstrated maturity, readiness to accept challenges, ability to multi-task under tight timelines; problem-solving mindset; and good computer skills with sound knowledge in MS Office are required. The candidate should also be proactive; self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team; have good supervision; and excellent organisation, interpersonal and communication skills.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review and mutual agreement.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Senior Executive Officer

Responsibilities:
- Administer staffing and human resources matters of the School, including recruitment, annual personnel reviews, re-appointment and promotion reviews, leaves and reimbursement management, student helpers' arrangement etc.;
- Handle daily operations of financial matters including purchase requisition, procurement, payroll, staff claims, and resources management;
- Coordinate various types of applications, data collection and report submissions;
- Manage the office administration, including space and facility management, fixed asset control, counter duties, scheduling, directory update, office supplies etc.;
- Provide secretarial service to boards and committees;
- Coordinate academic/ delegation visits for SCA and support coordination in events occasionally; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
A good honours degree with at least 5 years of relevant and solid work experience in higher education institutions. What We Need
- Assist the music teacher in working with small groups of children or with individual students during the class
- Assist in monitoring lesson and practice progress
- Demonstrate and play string instruments
- Take roll calls for children who attended
- Ensure children are staying within the classroom area
- Classes will be on every Wednesdays:
- Class A (Previous students with basic skills) 7-8pm
- Class B (New joiners) 8-9pm
- Take pictures and videos of the classes
- One-time volunteers are also welcomed, but we prefer if you can join more than one class
- Volunteers are required to have basic knowledge of playing violin
Background
The Strings of Love has been going very well in the last two years and we are hoping to continue running this programme to benefit more underprivileged children, allowing a chance for them to experience the beauty of music. It was such a meaningful experience for both our charity and we are overjoyed to see children improving their self-confidence while learning to play violin. We appreciate any music lovers who can work with us voluntarily to bring together love and passion, at the same time passing on music knowledge for these children.
