- Plan, develop and execute physical and digital elements and programmes in order to (1) raise event/ campaign/ core experiences' awareness, (2) upkeep HK's visibility, (3) drive local and overseas participation and (4) maintain/ raise event satisfaction in HKTB events and campaigns
- Supervise and monitor event managers/service contractors/supporting organisations for ensuring quality and timely delivery of services required in accordance with the agreed scope of services/ roles and responsibilities
- Process and procure all necessary licenses and permits for staging the event and ensure its compliance with all applicable HK laws and regulations
- Develop operation plans and administer all related process and logistics for staging the agreed event components in accordance with corporate policy
- Keep close contact with third-party event organisers for creating collaboration opportunity and ongoing relationship building in promoting Hong Kong tourism in general
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- University graduates, preferably in disciplines of event management/ sports and recreation management/ marketing

Major Duties:
(a)
To conduct classes and practical training in event management related modules;

To lead and train students on practical and administrative tasks during Integrated Learning Experience;

To assist in coordinating and organising events / activities of the Institutes, including but not limited to catering events, competitions, visits, Master Chef culinary demonstrations, themed events and other activities;

Develop creative and innovative event core programmes of HKTB's annual events including but not limited to Cyclothon, Dragon Boat Race, Great Outdoors; plan, organise, execute and hold accountable for the end-to-end successful delivery.
Prepare and manage event budget and compile monthly records of budget commitments, expenditure and income in accordance with the approved budget.
Develop sponsorship package from event nature and selling points, pitch potential sponsors, negotiate and solicit cash and in-kind sponsorship for HKTB-staged events with an aim at generating income and/ or saving cost from the overall staging cost.
Initiate the overall event communication plan and manage the dissemination of core messages and exposure of branding elements in different sectors and channels.
Manage the overall event marketing plan and work with cross functional teams such as Marketing and Corporate Affairs to produce marketing / promotional materials to generate adequate promotion and publicity of the event and relevant brand exposure / activation for event sponsors.
Work with World-wide Offices to engage overseas athletes and attract visitors.
Develop, plan and oversee the running of various corporate / activation programmes in relation to sponsor fulfilments at HKTB events.
Work closely with various government departments, public bodies, venue owners / managements for compliance of rules and regulations and timely coordination.
Design manpower resources plan and ensure strict adherence to the work schedule and proper delivery and execution of each event.
Oversee participant matters, venue operations and logistic arrangements for safe delivery of events.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
University degree holder with a minimum of 10 years' solid experience in event management, marketing and promotions of large-scale outdoor events is preferred.
Proven track record of achievements in handling of large-scale events from planning, budgeting, development and successful implementation. Experience of outdoor events will be an advantage.
Strong business sense to come up with effective marketing and promotional plans to optimise exposures for commercial sponsors.
Good problem-solving skills and analytical ability in resolving problems under tremendous pressure and time constraint. Strong leadership skills to lead the team in case of crisis.
Capable of overseeing the complete process from concept stage, through event marketing, launch and implementation.
Strong organisational skill and attend to details.
Effective communication skill is an integral part of the job in particular for negotiating and running outdoor events when legal and contractual obligations are involved.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise among assignments, willing to work longer hours during event season and to function effectively under pressure.
Strong interpersonal, influencing and leadership skills to be able to persuade others, internally and externally, to buy in to the new/repackaged products and quality events.
