Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Accountabilities

  • Inbound & Outbound Logistics Management.
  • Collaborate with Demand Fulfilment Planner (DFP), Global Freight Forwarders (GFF), Market CM Lead and
  • 3PL/Distributor for all incoming shipments and timebound custom clearance.
  • Support and co-ordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to implement standard operating
  • procedures (SOPs) for brokerage and customs clearance services, ensuring adherence to international trade
  • regulations.
  • Collaborate with brokers and GFF to prepare regulatory compliant do cumentation for customs clearance.
  • Collaborate with Global Trade Compliance (GTC), Custom of HKSAR, GFF, 3PL/Distributor to ensure
  • timebound and compliant customs clearance.
  • Collaborate with 3PLs in executing order preparations based on compliance, SOPs, a nd product categories
  • (e.g., air-conditioned/cold, finished products).
  • Monitor local storage conditions aligned with market distribution model and help reduce CO2 emissions.
  • Support the 3PL / Distributor operations team to ensure smooth inbound and outboun d processes with
  • adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Inventory Management
  • Support to develop and implement local inventory movement processes at 3PL/Distributor warehouse
  • (Physical / System Inventory movement) in compliance to GMP & GDP standard.
  • Collaborate with In-Market Quality (IMQ) to determine stock locations based on business and quality
  • requirements.
  • Support Regulatory team to prepare Redressing Change Requests (RCRs) to manage local stock with safety
  • label updates (SLU) and compliance with the company SOPs.
  • Carryout inventory reconciliation between the company and 3PL systems.
  • Sales & Operation support
  • Assist, Market SCM Lead to facilitate local S&OP meetings, provide data analysis for inventory
  • planning and ensuring appropriate local inventory levels to support business operations efficiently.
  • Support implementation of local policies relating to local Supply Chain Management.
  • Coordinate with 3PL to ensure effective communication with BU for product change notifications to
  • customers.
  • Coordinate for logistics services to support Product Quality Complaint (PQC) related export
  • shipments.
  • Support and coordinate with 3PL / Distributors to collect the Product Quality Complaints related
  • stocks.
  • Project Management
  • Support Market SCM Lead to design & develop data analysis to support costs optimization.
  • Support and participate in projects to support local business and for Supply Chain operations.
  • Be a part of implementation team for local and regional Supply Chain initiatives.
  • Audits & Self-Inspections
  • Support IMQ and RA team for various audit and manage CAPA If required.
  • Support and collaborate with IMQ for Self-Inspection planning, execution, documentation, and
  • communication.
  • Financial Management
  • Support regular updates related to inventory status for financial reconciliations.
  • Calculate brokerage services and last mile delivery accruals, monthly forecast, comparison of forecast
  • VS actual spending.
  • Propose inventory provisions for financial updates on quarterly basis.
  • Review on monthly basis the 3PL / Distributor services fees based on terms & conditions in agreement.
  • Secure and support all team members’ training on time included quality training and my learning.

Required Competencies / Qualifications

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; preference for Pharmacy, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.

Language & Communication

  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Technical Proficiency

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint), SAP, and Power BI.
  • Proven ability to manage and analyze large datasets.

Professional Skills

  • Strong prioritization and organizational abilities.
  • Fast learner with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Effective problem-solving mindset.

Overview

East West Bank is currently seeking a Senior Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Analyst for our Customer Risk Management Group. The Senior BSA Analyst will review new and existing customer accounts to ensure compliance with BSA and USA Patriot Act and to determine their risk rating profile, including both domestic and cross border customers. The customer reviews include mitigating risk, identifying suspicious activity, escalate important issues, and working with relationship managers and account officers.

Responsibilities

  • Complete Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews on high risk individuals and entities to determine risk rating profile
  • Analyze data and results of existing transaction monitoring reports to determine if further investigation is warranted, if so take appropriate action using EWB financial platform
  • Gathers information from outside resources such as Internet searches, third-party vendors, public records, newspaper articles, etc.
  • Conducts follow-up with account officer for any missing or necessary documentation.
  • Reviews results from third-party vendors regarding authentication of identification on individuals and businesses, OFAC and government list, closed for cause, etc.
  • Conducts further research
  • Escalates to appropriate department
  • Develops relationships within appropriate levels of management for issue identification and resolution.
  • Prepares and documents analysis on summary write-ups.
  • Completes all required training.
  • Stay up to date and knowledgeable on BSA/AML/OFAC regulatory requirements and FinCEN guidelines
  • Use analytical skills to produce and follow leads, as well as link common or related activities to develop complete picture of suspicious activity and uncover new trends in fraudulent behavior
  • Assist BSA Officer/Managers and internal partners on preparing, logging and providing documents/materials per request from law enforcement officials.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5 - 8 years’ experience of BSA/AML/OFAC related activities in financial services industry
  • Experience conducting financial crime investigations, money laundering monitoring and/or other related BSA/AML experience
  • Banking, operations, BSA & USA Patriot acts background including performing EDD reviews on complex relationships required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Familiar with BSA/AML relevant law and regulations both in US and China.
  • Well-organized, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese is essential for this role.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, creative thinker, internet savvy
  • CAMS certification preferred; we will pay for certification study for interested candidates

Overview
East West Bank is currently seeking a Senior Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Analyst for our Customer Risk Management Group. The Senior BSA Analyst will review new and existing customer accounts to ensure compliance with BSA and USA Patriot Act and to determine their risk rating profile, including both domestic and cross border customers. The customer reviews include mitigating risk, identifying suspicious activity, escalate important issues, and working with relationship managers and account officers.
Responsibilities

  • Complete Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews on high risk individuals and entities to determine risk rating profile
  • Analyze data and results of existing transaction monitoring reports to determine if further investigation is warranted, if so take appropriate action using EWB financial platform
  • Gathers information from outside resources such as Internet searches, third-party vendors, public records, newspaper articles, etc.
  • Conducts follow-up with account officer for any missing or necessary documentation.
  • Reviews results from third-party vendors regarding authentication of identification on individuals and businesses, OFAC and government list, closed for cause, etc.
  • Conducts further research
  • Escalates to appropriate department
  • Develops relationships within appropriate levels of management for issue identification and resolution.
  • Prepares and documents analysis on summary write-ups.
  • Completes all required training.
  • Stay up to date and knowledgeable on BSA/AML/OFAC regulatory requirements and FinCEN guidelines
  • Use analytical skills to produce and follow leads, as well as link common or related activities to develop complete picture of suspicious activity and uncover new trends in fraudulent behavior
  • Assist BSA Officer/Managers and internal partners on preparing, logging and providing documents/materials per request from law enforcement officials.
  • Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 5 - 8 years’ experience of BSA/AML/OFAC related activities in financial services industry
  • Experience conducting financial crime investigations, money laundering monitoring and/or other related BSA/AML experience
  • Banking, operations, BSA & USA Patriot acts background including performing EDD reviews on complex relationships required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Familiar with BSA/AML relevant law and regulations both in US and China.
  • Well-organized, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese is essential for this role.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, creative thinker, internet savvy
  • CAMS certification preferred; we will pay for certification study for interested candidates

Requirements

  • University graduate majoring in mathematics, statistics, business analytics, information system, computer science, or other related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of data analytics experience with strong programming skill in SQL and Python
  • Possess adequate CRM experience to analyze business requirements, recommend viable solutions, align requirements with operational context and translate them into executable program coding
  • Strong understanding of the Consumer Banking industry and operations is an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of mobile app architecture, user interface design principles and software development technologies
  • Knowledge in building dashboards by using Qlik Sense or any equivalent tools would be an advantage
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret business and financial data and have sound presentation skills
  • Adept at problem-solving, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and have experience in project management
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized

  • University graduate with a minimum of 12 years’ solid managerial experience, preferably with sizable organisations, in any of the following areas: sales and marketing; exhibition/event organisation or public/corporate relations etc.
  • Strong inclination and understanding of Hong Kong economy, trade and business arena covering various industries, and markets and business opportunities for Hong Kong.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua; knowledge of a third language an advantage.
  • Mature with superior skills in sales, marketing and communication.
  • A strong team player with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and outgoing with good project planning ability.
  • Innovative, flexible and be able to deliver under time and resource pressure.

Remuneration and Benefits:

The successful candidate will be offered a two-year contract with prospects for renewal upon expiry. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus an appropriate contract-end gratuity. Medical benefits and annual leave will be offered.
