Key Duties And Responsibilities- Working in close collaboration with the local AWS pre-sales and technical teams, along with the wider Regional Service Centre, the core responsibilities include identifying market opportunities, collaborating with leadership to set targets, developing account plans, and defining working approaches with partners.
- Forge strong relationships with AWS teams, partners, and represent Ingram Micro at events.
- Drive market expansion, develop tailored go-to-market strategies, and analyze competition.
- Manage complex sales engagements, generate new business, meet revenue targets, and maintain a sales pipeline.
- Build relationships with peers, understand Ingram Micro AWS services, and stay updated on technologies.
Desirable: Cloud computing sales experience, AWS certifications. Expected: Knowledge of AWS services like OLA, MAP, WAFR, EC2, CloudWatch, CI/CD tools, IaC tools, containers, AI/ML, migrations. Pre-Sales, Scoping, and Services Development
- Provide technical representation and leadership for AWS-centric end-customer pre-sales meetings and qualification calls
- Act as the technical owner (pre-sales) and leader of AWS-centric opportunities taking full ownership of the technical response, including solution sizing, commercial model, and managing technical inputs from SMEs
- Drive architectural solution development through understanding and translating customer challenges and requirements to identify and articulate the best-of-breed solution
- Lead, with the support of SME’s, overarching solutions art-of-the-possible workshops with end-customers and assist with the creation of their strategic technology roadmap
- Attend end-customer project kick-off meetings, as appropriate, to ensure seamless handover from pre-sales to delivery
- Be familiar, and correctly position, key vendor programs including OLA, MAP and WAFR
- Guide and drive solutions consistency through peer reviewing and providing overarching sign-off on opportunities
- Identify other Ingram Micro service and sales opportunities
- Support the development of the regional AWS services propositions, solutions and GTM
- Work with the Regional Service Centre to allow for continued success and to help identify areas of potential growth Lead with qualification of designs and opportunities
- Build and maintain a good awareness of the internal SMEs areas of specialism
- Build and drive a sustained, responsive, technical, and influential relationship with channel partners and vendors
- Position self as a ‘trusted advisor’ and ‘thought leader’ to channel partners for pre-sales translation and qualification of technical opportunities and ongoing engagement evolution
- Actively promote pre-sales, solutions offerings, and consulting capabilities to channel partners
- Be a visible representative of Ingram Micro at partner engagements and key vendor events, supporting the identification and development of future solutions offerings
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with the wider Ingram Micro team, identify synergies and upsell opportunities
- Support the continual development of channel partner and end-customer relationships in collaboration with account management and service delivery teams
- An active and contributing member of our regional AWS technical community
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with the channel partners internal technical team
- Keep up-to-date with current and future technologies, products and strategies
- Build a solid skills foundation in chosen subject matter
- Maintain relevant vendor certifications
- Build and enhance relationships with peers

An AWS Solutions Specialist should also have the following qualifications and experience:

- AWS Associate Certification
- AWS Professional Certification
- AWS Speciality Certification
- AWS Optimisation Licensing and Assessment (OLA)
- AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP)
- AWS Well-Architected Framework Review (WAFR)
- Compute services (e.g. EC2, containers, serverless)
- Monitoring/Observability tools (e.g. CloudWatch, Prometheus, DataDog)
- CI/CD tools (e.g. CodePipeline/CodeBuild, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- IaC tools (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, Serverless Framework)
- Containers and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker, ECS, Kubernetes)
- VPCs/Networking
- Gen A/I and Machine Learning
- Migrations from VMware and/or Azure
- Three or more years of experience in an AWS pre-sales or delivery type role

Key Duties And Responsibilities
Working in close collaboration with the local (in-country) AWS pre-sales and technical teams, along with the wider Regional Service Centre, the core responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to, the following:
Strategic Sales Planning
- Identify market opportunities, routes to market, industry trends, and vendor, partner, and end-customer needs to guide sales approach
- Collaborate with local Ingram Micro leadership to set clear revenue targets and growth objectives
- Develop and execute a comprehensive account/territory plan to manage and grow numerous accounts concurrently
- Define and agree alignment and working approach with local Ingram Micro Cloud (resell) BDM’s and PDM’s for the demarcation / hand-off of Services-specific opportunities
- Forge strong relationship with key AWS individuals including Sellers, Professional Services, and Partner Development teams
- Forge strong and trusted relationship with partner account base, including actively promoting pre-sales, service offerings, and consulting capabilities
- Be a visible representative of Ingram Micro at partner engagements and key vendor events, supporting the identification and development of future service offerings
- Evaluate potential collaboration opportunities to enhance product offerings and market reach
- Drive market expansion efforts by identifying target segments and developing tailored go-to-market strategies
- Lead initiatives to penetrate new routes to market and partner / end-customer segments for cloud services adoption
- Analyze market competition and positioning to differentiate company offerings effectively
- Support the development of the AWS services propositions, solutions and GTM
- Provide ownership of complex sales engagements, including RFPs, proposals, and customer presentations
- Pro-actively hunt for and generate new business opportunities
- Meet or exceed revenue and goal targets in a defined territory – which will include those set by both Ingram Micro and AWS
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline, including regular updates and reporting
- Be familiar, and correctly position, key vendor programs including OLA, MAP and WAFR
- Collate, summarise, and accurately report key management account information on a monthly basis
- Identify other Ingram Micro service and sales opportunities
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with key peers, including the local and regional Cloud teams, AWS Sellers and Partner Development teams, partners and their end-customers
- Build a solid understanding of the Ingram Micro AWS services portfolio, capabilities and motions
- Build and maintain a good awareness of the internal SMEs areas of specialism
- Keep up-to-date with current and future technologies, products and strategies
- Build and enhance relationships with peers
An AWS Services BDM should also have the following qualifications and experience:

- AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification
- AWS Associate Certification
- AWS Optimisation Licensing and Assessment (OLA)
- AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP)
- AWS Well-Architected Framework Review (WAFR)
- Compute services (e.g. EC2, containers, serverless)
- Monitoring/Observability tools (e.g. CloudWatch, Prometheus, DataDog)
- CI/CD tools (e.g. CodePipeline/CodeBuild, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)

The Solution Architect bridges product, engineering, and business as a senior technical leader. - Champion best practices in architecture, scalability, observability, security, and maintainability
- Partner with EMs to shape and execute technical health roadmaps, including tech debt remediation and infrastructure modernization
- Review solutions, lead technical discovery for complex projects, and mentor engineers across the team
- Develop deep business and technical domain expertise and ensure architectural decisions balance product context with scalability needs
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience designing scalable, enterprise-grade systems with 3+ years in Solution Architect or Engineering Manager role
- Technical proficiency: Strong knowledge in scalable and self-healing software application design, API design, and design patterns. Familiarity with modern architectures and frameworks especially micro services, event driven, serverless, node, typescript, nestjs, lambdas, cloud technologies, etc.
- Strong knowledge in database management and performance tuning, particularly AWS Aurora (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
- Experience with cards, payment, FX, treasury systems or financial technology is highly desirable
